With the coupon it was $209 just to spot clean the dress once. That does not include putting on a few beads I wanted them to or preserve the dress in a box. They said that putting it in the box would be another $100 and putting on a few beads would be $70. The cleaning removed most of the stains at the bottom but there were still stains left and the dress still looked dingy. I can't believe they made me pay that much. This is the most expensive I found in Charlotte and they didn't even do that good of a job. On top of that the guy at the store smelled so badly of cigarette smoke I had to tell him to step back and stop breathing on me. The store smelled like smoke. I wouldn't take anything there ever again. I was so upset I took my dress and paid what they made me pay and left. I have yet to hear back from a manager as I was told they would call me b/c I was dissatisfied.

Problem # 1: On a very expensive and important large order, three of my items came back with the kind of wrinkles that ruin a garment's look, and which I could not remove on my own with a regular steam-iron. So, I returned them to do it again. The manager TRIED her best to be helpful, giving me a $75 credit which covered my entire order, and asking me to give them another chance. So, I used them two more times, and BOTH times one or more items came back to me wrinkled (or otherwise poorly done). Three strikes & you're out, folks! I didn't even bother to use the entire credit that I had with them, it was that ridiculous. Problem # 2: If that weren't bad enough, they were not ready with my order when they said they would be about 50% of the time, which is major trouble because it takes my entire lunch break and a few minutes extra to get there and back from work, and since their prices are above average for my part of town, that's not acceptable. Problem # 3: they keep bugging Angie's List's admin personnel to verify my bad review, as if I'll change my mind and upgrade them if they pester me enough. No! I am NOT going to give you a better grade, EVER, so stop asking me again and again! As a consequence, I have not used them for 2 years, and probably never will again.

I was referred years ago because of their quality work and it was quality work as expected.

Spoke to Jean who listened, and although could not provide exactly what I needed kindly gave me 2 other companies that may be able to help me! Not many people/companies would take the time time to do this AND be so nice about it...rather than a quick no then hang up! Thank you Jean!

Gene was incredible to work with. I brought my wife's wedding dress in a few weeks shy of our 10th anniversary. My error was not realizing that this process takes weeks. Gene didn't give me any guarantees but said he would do his best. Without too much detail let me just say Gene bent over backwards and made this special gift work. I am thrilled, my wife is thrilled and we have Gene and Cunningham Cleaners to thank for that. Aside from their efforts the quality is fantastic.

I saw the reviews on angies list and decided to try them. I pulled up and was on the phone as my call was ending two employees came out of the building and started smoking. GROSS So I could walk through their smoke and one worked the front desk so I would have to speak to him after he put out his cigarette. I am still looking for a new dry cleaner

I found them on Angie's List. They are great. My husband is a teacher, and he had a group of students who do volunteer work, and we used the Santa suit. I thought it looked okay, until it came back from Cunningham, it now looks fabulous. They cut their price because they knew it was a Santa suit to be used in a volunteer operation. We don't have a lot of dry cleaning, and the first thing I took to them was my robe, and it has velvet on it. Another cleaner had damaged it by handling the velvet incorrectly, and Cunningham not only cleaned it correctly, but they also undid most of the damage the other company had done. I haven't found anybody in Charlotte for handling damaged items or specialty items like they are.

They are a wonderful dry cleaner. They are very professional and do excellent work. This company is very customer friendly. Shirley is fantastic, along with all of the other staff.

I bought my wedding dress 2 years in advance of my wedding. I was concerned about storing it and keeping it nice for so long before the wedding. I contacted Cunningham to receive a quote for preservation services and they actually provided me with advice for storing the dress without having it preserved. Although they were happy to preserve my dress, they were so professional and courteous to provide me with money saving advice instead!

I took the dress into the Cunningham Cleaners to be cleaned and preserved. They gave me the date of 3/21/2014 that it would be ready. I picked up the dress on 3/22/2014. It looked beautiful and my grandaughter loved the way it looked and the way it was presented in the box.

We go once a week. They handle everything that needs to be cleaned - including large items like bed covers. Amazing job! We love them, and their price is well below competitors in the area. We had a pair of pants that weren't properly cleaned. They recleaned them with many apologies. They also gave us someone else's shirt, and when we returned it they knew which customer's property it was, and made sure that customer was informed immediately. Great service, and personable staff. Definitely highly recommend Cunningham!

Cunningham Cleaners employees know many of their customers by name, including us. They are very kind and thoughtful in their service. We have had an article of clothing or two since lost since we started patronizing them. However we keep going back because we think their services are the best. When they make a mistake, they own up to it and compensate/correct the issue accordingly and in a timely manner. My husband drops of and picks up clothing at least twice a month and had done so for about 3-4 years now. I use them less frequently but just as exclusively.

A very pleasant experience with pleasant people. The clothing came out looking like new.

I have used them for dry cleaning and laundering various items, as well as handling the cleaning and storage of my wedding dress. I have never been disappointed.

Not the cheapest but I seldom have problems. I have never received same day service but can usually get back in 3 days.

They are very friendly and professional. Most of all they do a good job. I am alway leary about what my white things are going to look like, but I trust them with my whites. They do not look gray or dingy after cleaning. I have been very satisfied and continue to use them. Highly recommend them.

Cunningham's professional dry cleaning service is tops. The staffmembers are professional and polite, and they always have my items ready when I pick them up with no problems. The price can be a little bit on the high end, but they do extend a 15% discount to repeat customers, which makes them pretty competitive. Make sure you ask for the discount.

They can remove stains & treat the fabric well, however ... they don't check their work. Sometimes I dry clean items solely because they are wrinkled ... and last time, I spent a ridiculous amount of money and ALL my silk & chiffon dresses came back wrinkled!! Ridiculous. Also, they don't always have your items when promised. Other times I have driven all the way over there, handed them my ticket & they'd say, "come back tomorrow" -- no apology & no phone call ahead to save me the drive! Unless I have something really delicate I'll go to the nearby, cheaper & faster cleaners!

Were able to clean several garmets with stains which had already been washed several times.

They gave me a $5 discount for being a first time customer. I dropped off the suit of Thursday and they said it would be ready on Monday. I picked up the suit and it was dry cleaned in the time frame specified. They did good work and I was satisfied with the service.

I picked up my comforter which looks great. They have been very timely and kept their promises. I have had no issues or concerns when working with them.

We have always gotten good results when taking our items there. The location is convenient and close to our home. The staff is very nice and personable.
