Carolina Blind Crafters: Blinds, Shades, Shutters

Ben Berger and Sarah Berger, as well as their experienced installer were topnotch.  We will use them for all future window treatments as we have some windows that still bear the old shades.

Ben helped me choose which shades to choose and we ventured into blackout curtains for the bedroom.  It was a plus to rely on someone who knows their industry and usage so well.  Ben was incredible patient as we pondered which color to choose.  It's a long-term decision, so not to be taken lightly. 

The front desk, manned by Sarah was incredibly hospitable and professional.  Any receipt I sought electronically was promptly sent with a well-written message.

Very pleased with the entire experience. We needed new window treatments for 4 windows we recently had replaced. We had existing plantation shutters and wanted to make sure that the new ones would match. Our sales person, Faye, was terrific! She gave us a reasonable price and was able to match the existing shutters perfectly! The shutters were installed four weeks later as initially promised and they look great. Installers did a careful job and cleaned up after finishing. Highly recommend them!

He did a fabulous job. They gave me an Angie’s List discount. Their process is pretty streamline. The initial lady comes in to give you an estimate. So, she does a rough measure so she does not spend a whole lot of time. From there, she gives you a price. She also brings obviously all the samples at that time. Once you give them 50% down, they send the guy in to measure. The man that measured caught a problem in the structure of the house that we had to fix so the blinds would look right. His background in construction helped us in identifying situations. This is a brand new home so it gave us a chance to do a walk-through. In that process, he identified this issue. So, he came in and did a fabulous job measuring. I had those shutters installed within four weeks. So, they have a very quick turn-around. The owner of the local franchise and the guy that came in to measure came in and installed them all in one day and did a beautiful job in installing. They never left a mess. Everything looked fantastic. Actually, they also fixed the problem in the new house for me. They mentioned to me for example I had a bit of a plumbing problem and fixed the flow in the commode. Actually, I have recommended them to multiple friends of mine and they have started to contract with them too.

Ben and his team were great!  Always on time and honest.  Price was great and the timeline for installation was exactly as promised.  We will be using them again when we add shutters to our dining and living room.

Carolina Blind Crafters was so great! Their prices were reasonable, and they were all such nice people. Faye was prompt in responding to my phone call to talk about getting new blinds, and she was polite and courteous when she was in my home measuring my windows. She was fast but it didn't feel like she was rushing to get through her task at my house before moving on to the next customer. Ben called a few weeks later to schedule the install according to my schedule, and he was flexible with times that worked for me.
Their installer, Ed, was also fantastic. He was meticulous but not too slow, and he paid attention to every detail in installing the blinds. He removed his shoes when walking around in my home and brought his own stepladder to reach things that were up high. He also called to let me know that he was coming, and he was on time! 
We had a little glitch in the install that required Ed to come by a second time, but it was a minor inconvenience, and the folks at Carolina Blind Crafters were so helpful and responsive that it was no big deal. At the end of the day, the cost was within our budget even though we needed to put blinds on most of the windows in the house (possibly because we went with faux wood, but who can tell the difference from far away?), their service was top notch, and we are very pleased with the result.

All of the people I worked with from the sales person (Faye) to the installer (Ed) were extremely professional.  They were prompt and responsive.  The time from the order to the installation was only two weeks.  The blinds look great and the prices were less than I expected.  I would definitely recommend their services.

The guy who came and did the actual install, his name was Ed, he was just one of the nicest guys I've ever met. The guy who owns the company, Ben, followed up. He was very conscientious. He paid attention to detail and made sure that we were happy with everything. The lady who came in the beginning who helped us pick out everything, her name was Fe, she was extremely helpful. It was a great overall experience.

We contacted Carolina Blind Crafters to obtain an estimate on replacing our blinds. We were contacted promptly and a meeting was set up with Faye. Faye was on time, very professional and very thorough in measuring our windows. She showed us different options and pricing for the product.
We have chosen not to go with Carolina Blind Crafters at this time; however, wanted to place a review on Angie's list regarding the professionalism and overall presentation that Faye provided. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking at getting new blinds.

Faye arrived at the scheduled time and assisted us in selecting the appropriate blind taking in to consideration the proper style, size and color to match the space. She placed the order for us then helped coordinate the installation when the blind was received from the manufacturer. When the blind arrived, approximately a month later, an installer came and installed the blind. The only glitch in the whole process, and one that Carolina Blind Crafters can't be faulted for, was the manufacturer sent the wrong hardware for our blind. Fortunately, the installer had hardware on his truck that could be used. The price was right and fit our budget. In fact, the total cost was about half of an earlier quote that we had received from a different provider. The Angie's List discount that we received was also instrumental in our selecting Carolina. We had 3/4 inch pleated shades installed on all windows and doors in our new townhouse.  Heather came out and measured, and Ben installed the blinds.  They were both very friendly and professional.  Everything was done in a timely manner, and the price was reasonable for the work and materials provided.
We would highly recommend them and would most definitely use them again!

I got several bids on my shutters and chose Carolina Blind Crafters and I am not sorry!  Ben and his staff are so friendly and eager to ensure customer sat.  They arrived when they said they would, the followed up in a timely manner - overall very professional staff and excellent product.

I knew I wanted woven wood shades for the very open back side of our new home, but had very little idea of what was available and what price range I would be looking at.  I found Carolina Blind Crafters online and Ben Berger, the owner, quickly responded to my email inquiry.  Within a week, a sales representative met with me to do a free estimate.  She not only met me at our then unfinished new home, but measured all the windows, and helped me chose the blinds and shades .  She was very helpful in explaining things about privacy needs, lined vs. unlined shades, and pricing.  She got back to me quickly with the estimate, then just as quickly with the new estimate when I changed my mind on the type of shades  I wanted.
I hoped to have the window treatments installed before we moved in, and they arrived even earlier than promised so the appointment to install was made the day before our move-in. I had a last minute change in my schedule and could not make that appointment.  However,  the installer was able to come to the house and install them without us having to be there.  It was wonderful to come into my new home and see those gorgeous woven shades perfectly installed and hanging just so!
 I later noticed that a blind in the garage was mounted outside the window frame when it was supposed to be an inside mount, and one of my large shades began to hang a tiny bit unevenly on one side.  Not only did Ben take care of both issues, but he  ordered a whole new shade to replace the one that hung unevenly (which was a problem with the shade manufacturer NOT Carolina Blind Crafters) They even let me keep the first shade !
 
I would highly recommend Carolina Blind Crafters to anyone who is looking for new window treatments.  All 3 employees that I dealt with were extremely courteous, friendly, and very professional, and Ben made certain that I was 100% satisfied with my experience.

Completely satisfied with the company''s performance.  All personnel  involved in the process, from the in-home visit and estimate by the decorator rep thru to final installation by their in-house installation team, were experienced and professional.  Work was reasonably priced and was completed in the time frame they had indicated at the start of the job.

Working with this company was truly a pleasurable experience from start to finish. My wife and I were on a tight budget after having the entire house painted and carolina blind crafters was able to fit everything we needed within our budget. The salesperson came out to our house just a day after we intitially called and measure the entire house and went through the product specs and colors. We got to other quotes from local blind companies that came out more expensive and we were not thrilled with their professionalism. Once we decided to go with them, they took our deposit and the blinds were installed within two weeks right before we moved in. The blinds worked out terrific and make the house look great! We will be recommending carolina blind crafters to all of our neighbors. Job well done!!

The guys who came out were good. I was not satisfied with the cleanup. I would most likely use them again in the future.

The entire process was a pleasure for my husband and I. We purchased a new home in Charlotte last month and needed window treatments before we moved in. Our sales rep, Heather, met with us on three different ocassions to make sure that we selected the products that were right for us. We got two other quotes and Carolina Blind Crafters was comparable to both of them and seemed to offer a supieror product and service. We were right! The blinds were installed just a week after we ordered and the shutters were installed two weeks after as promised. The installers did a careful job and didn't leave a mess, unlike other contractors we had. The color turned out to match perfectly with our hardwood floors and I couldn't be more pleased. I will be going back to this company in the next few months to purchase additional shutters for our breakfast room. Outstanding Service and Quality!

The entire process was very pleasant for my husband and I. The sales rep made several trips out to our home until we were confident in which product we wanted. She was very knowledgeable with the products and has been in the industry for over 30 years. When the shutters were installed, the installers were on time and very clean throughout the process. The shutters look amazing and I'm extremely happy with our whole experience!

The entire carolina blind crafter team was terrific! Faye, our sales person, guided us through the entire purchase and was able to answer all of our questions about each product. She has bee doing this for over 30 years, so be sure to ask for her when scheduling the consultation. The shutters were installed a week ahead of time and they look amazing! Blinds were installed at the same time and are a great complement to the shutters. Highly recommend these people!

Working with Ben and Faye was a fantastic experience. We worked together for three months while we made our decisions, and Ben probably visited my house no less than 8 times. Faye was extremely helpful as well with making decorating recommendations, and must have come to my house 5 times. They brought a large variety of sample books to choose from, and let me keep samples while we were making our decisions. Ben was patient while we got a competitive quote and was the consummate professional. Once we placed our second order, Ben stopped while installing the first one to bring me in and ask what I thought. He wasn't happy with how the color worked with the trim color, and he was pretty sure I wouldn't like it either. He recommended that we not install the remaining blinds, and work to find an option that we would be happy with for the long run. We came up with the right solution and Ben did not charge me for the first order that we decided against installing. The best part about working with Ben is that you can trust that he will work with you to truly make the best decision for your home. He does not sell you on something that may not work. His installation techniques are top notch and we are thrilled with the end result. I highly recommend Ben and Carolina Blind Crafters.
