Arbormax Tree Service - Charlotte

Description of Work: The company pruned and provided nutrients to a couple of trees on my two properties. Before the service was provided, a representative from the company came out to give an assessment of the condition of the trees and provided and estimate of the cost and scheduled service date. | |With this company being a new branch of an existing company, there were some challenges with their administrative activities. They were in the process of trying to ramp up their staffing and fell short of some their customer care details. Have yet to receive the actual receipts for the work performed. With respect to the actual work, they did a good job. I would use their service again.

Description of Work: They first came out to do an evaluation of our needs and identified a number of trees that required pruning or to be cut down entirely. I was pleased with the professionalism of the person who did the evaluation. Much better than the guys with a chainsaw on the back of a pickup truck that roamed the neighborhood looking for work. When they came to do the actual work, there was a crew of four, which was enough to the job of felling a large mimosa, a large poplar, several smaller trees, and trimming 2 maples and 4 hollies. They worked quickly and efficiently. Everything was cleaned up quickly. I would recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

Description of Work: The Arbormax crew showed up on time and worked very hard to finish the job. Removing a very large, old maple tree which hung over my roof was a very tricky job, but the leader, Jordan, did an excellent and careful job as the lead cutter and directed the crew well. They also removed a large birch that hung over the garage roof and elevated six more trees with branches that brushed the roof before cutting, as well as removing an old pine that had fallen in our back lot. The price reflected half the cost of removing the maple, which I shared with a neighbor, as well as a Big Deal offered by the company for the rest of the work. I appreciated the professionalism and courtesy of the crew and leader as well as their attention to detail. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again. In fact, I'll probably have them back next spring.

Description of Work: I contacted them for a review of work I wanted done. All the projects I had quoted exceeded the "big deal" offer by much more than I was willing to pay. I have had tree services by other companies in the past that were much more reasonably priced and by which I based my expectations for these projects. Their "big deal" should have been worded "to be applied to services $800 or more".
