Always a great experience. We've used them 4 times for new mortgages or refinances, and every experience has gone very smoothly. I called AmeriSouth Mortgage for a rate quote in late June for a refinance with cash out on my primary home and spoke to Ken. He was straightforward and offered competitive rates and prices, so I decided to go with them. Their online application process is very convenient, and Ken had the rate locked immediately, and application paperwork done within a couple of days. We initially tried to get a 21 day closing, because both Ken and my family were planning a vacation in late July, and we hoped to close before hand. Ken had everything done that we needed for the underwriter with plenty of time, but the underwriter was slow and we didn't hit our original closing date. They asked for several more pieces of paperwork, which Ken and myself provided quickly. Ken and my family both went on vacation, but Lisa at AmeriSouth kept pushing the underwriter to move the refinance forward, and was in contact with me daily by phone on the status. We ended up closing in just over 30 days, and closing went without any issues. This was a fantastic result, because of the extra care and time underwriters have been taking in lending because of the poor housing market. I've heard many stories of 90 day refinances.
