Dropped my car off first thing that morning and took advantage of shuttle service to work. Picked car up in the afternoon, it was all ready to go. Excellent service staff who were very nice. The work was completed as I requested.

They're reasonable and don't do things that are unwarranted. They tell me what's wrong and if I agree with them, they go ahead and fix it. It's a good service.

They did tire rotation and full auto inspection. They checked smog requirements per state codes. We take our car to them when we need it serviced. They do a great job.

I do home health visits so on the road all the time. Low tire pressure light started coming on pretty often--discovered after a couple fills that one tire apparently had a slow leak-an occupational hazard but also a real pain when I need the car every day.
Car is 18 months old, original tires with 20K miles. Was dreading having the possibility of having to replace a tire.
Called Chapel Hill Tire and Care Care Center on 6/9, got an 8:00am appointment for 6/10.
Arrived at 8:00am, greeted promptly and my car was taken into service bay within a few minutes.
Within 45 minutes, tire was repaired and I was on my way.
When I asked what caused the leak, I was told there was a screw in the tire, something another service center did not find a few weeks earlier during rotate and balance (even though low pressure light was coming on then).
When I checked out, they pointed out to me that, for any service over $25 entitles me to complementary nationwide roadside assistance. They also have a nationwide 24 month/24000 mile warranty on repairs.
Prompt, professional service. No upselling. Great experience. I'll be back!

We've used Chapel Hill Tire for years and have always been pleased. Most recently, we took the car in for an oil change and four new tires. We were also having a little bit of trouble on occasion starting the car, so we had them check the battery/alternator/starter. They did great work on everything, and didn;t charge us for testing the starter system because they couldn't find anything wrong.
We use Chapel Hill Tire partly because we are a one car family who work in Chapel Hill, and their shuttle service allows us to drop off the car to be fixed while we are at work (so we are never without our only car). At times, I think their prices are slightly higher than other mechanics we've visited in the past, but the quality of service and the shuttle more than makes up for it.

They fixed the oil leak and replaced the oxygen sensor for $1100 just like they said, but two days later the check engine light came on again. They said that this time a different oxygen sensor had gone bad (apparently my car has four oxygen sensors). They said it was unusual for two to stop working in such close succession, but that it happened. They charged me an additional $284.73. Then, two days later the check engine light came on again. This time they said that my catalytic converter had stopped working and gave me an estimate of $1670.23 to fix it. The problem was that the converter was less than two years old and should have been replaced for free, but they wouldn't accept the warranty because it was not a factory part. They would only replace it for an additional $1670.00 bringing me well over my original limit.
I had a friend install the new replacement catalytic converter. It took him less than 15 minutes to do something Chapel Hill Tire would have charged me $1670.00 to do. Even if they had used a new part that they would have charged me $279 for, that is still $1400 for 15 minutes of work!! I believe in paying people for their labor, but that is ridiculous -- especially when I had made it so clear at the outset what I was prepared to spend!!!

I was parked in the parking lot next to Chapel Hill Tire's Carrboro Store. I got in my vehicle and the battery was dead. I walked over to Chapel hill Tire and asked if they could look at it. They jumped it, took it to the store and and quot;analyzed the batteryand quot;. They told me it was fine and charged me about $68.00. I drove by the place where I usually get all my vehicle work done and had them look at it and they told me the battery was shot. When I told them what Chapel Hill Tire had told me the were not surprised. They said they had heard a lot of that sort of thing happening to local residents. Their business had increased because of it. I paid $90.00 for a new battery and went on my way. If Chapel Hill tire had just been honest I would have bought a battery from them but why charge me for a jump and a check of the battery when they could have just sold me a new battery? Instead I had to pay them for doing essentially nothing and still had to get a new battery. Did not make me happy, I have never been back, no reason to go. I will stick with the guys who I can trust to tell me 1- what is really wrong 2-what has to be done (and how quickly it has to be done) 3-what their price is up front. Even if it cost me more I would rather have some one be honest. I just don't see why a jump and a battery check should cost $68.00. Maybe they thought that after the battery died again I'd come back. It's hard to tell.

Very easy to make an appointment. Courteous staff. Waited on car and it was ready when they said it would be. Overall excellent service but the cost of the oil change is a bit on the high side.

I discovered a nail in my tired that had been causing a loss of air pressure on my way to work. I had stopped in and they were able to fit me in the same afternoon, they explained exactly what they would do, the cost, and also gave me the price of a tire if they would need to replace the tire. Their shuttle service quickly got me to work. They were able to successfully patch the tire and the work was complete in the time frame they had told me. They were so friendly and professional. No hassles. As a first time drop in customer, I was impressed with their efficiency easy shuttle service. They won a new customer today.

They have always provided us with timely service and they give you plenty of details about what they are doing. We are generally happy with them. They are priced fairly, they are not overly expensive, but not on the cheaper side either. They seem to recommend a lot of things that we aren't sure are always necessary. They aren't pushy about it, but the price goes up dramatically if you listen to all of it. I had a friend who took an old car into them and they estimated that it needed thousands of dollars of work, more than what the car was even worth. He took it somewhere else and the only repairs needed totaled $600. Otherwise, they are professional and prompt.
