As a 60-something single woman, I've unfortunately had a variety of negative experiences with people I've hired to help. Such that I'd about given up and had tried to do projects myself. BIG mistake, my work turned out horribly, and I finally turned to angieslist to find help to repair the damage. When I read the great reviews on Thomas Trades LLC, I decided to take one more chance.
How do I describe my experience with Thomas Trades? WAY beyond all expectations! Josh contacted me within minutes of my sending a message through angieslist, and an appointment for an estimate was scheduled for the next day. Josh arrived on time, was very courteous and professional, and he exudes such confidence and caring, I knew instantly that I was putting my projects into good hands. I have used others from angieslist and while satisfactory, Josh and his team were so outstanding as to leave the others in the dust! Every person I dealt with was friendly and professional, and it probably sounds funny, but I felt like I was treated how they would treat their own families.
I am so happy with the results of the work done; the quality, thoroughness and attention to detail blew me away. I have a two-page list of handyman projects that need to be done for upkeep ("Honey Do" list, if I had a Honey), pressure washing the patio and driveway, and am planning to paint the rest of the interior of my house, and I will definitely be turning to Thomas Trades LLC for everything. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Everything went extremely well. Josh stayed in touch with me while the doors were being fabricated to keep me up to date on the estimated installation date. He called me when he said he would and scheduled the work to be done. They showed up on time and ready to work. While installing the crown molding they ran into issues with the nails not going into the plaster well. They ended up having to get shorter nails to do the work. Everything came out great and we are very happy with the results.

Josh came for an estimate on the job the day after I contacted him. He was very cordial and professional,and I received his estimate the same day. The work was scheduled to begin 2 days later. The painters arrived promptly at 9:00 am, which was the agreed upon time. They covered all of our furniture with plastic and used drop cloths on the floors. They worked quickly and were extremely neat and careful. The work was completed in 4 days, and we could not be happier with the results. We are so pleased with Josh and his team, that we have already contracted with him to install hardwood floors throughout our home.

"This review in which you gave is extremely undeserving! Your facts are very incorrect. If you would like me to forward my phone records, email records, and quick book records I would be more than happy to. I met with you and your partner on December 22nd at 9am. On time as usual. You and your partner asked me to price completing your 1st floor remodel at your property: installing 725 sq feet of ceramic tile, repair and smooth out the concrete slab, install 9 custom (9 feet tall) interior doors as well as 3 french doors, install 448 feet of baseboard, trim out all doors and several windows, custom frame, sheetrock, and trim out around a mechanical room with an access panel, build and install custom shelving in all the closets, repair all the walls where a previous painter over sprayed the doors by propping them up against the walls, paint all the walls, all the ceilings, and all the trim after installing, and lastly repair all the stress cracks and nail pops on the 2nd and 3rd floor, then paint those ceilings. When I left your property that day I told both of you guys I would have your material and labor estimate within 2 days. Thats precisely what I did. I worked December 22, 23, and Christmas Eve on this large proposal. After emailing this to you TWO DAYS LATER on Christmas Eve, I contacted [member name removed] at 11:14am ( I checked my phone records) just as I do All of my customers to ensure they received this via email and to ensure the email address was correct. He did not answer. I left a voicemail. When I returned from Christmas vacation on December 26th I contacted him a 2nd time at 1:51pm. No answer. I left a voicemail and again have yet to get a response from either one of you. If anyone should be graded so low on responsiveness it would be on your end and not ours. We have worked Extremely hard to earn the 50+ straight A ratings earning Angies List Super Service Awards for both 2013, and 2014. This rating that you gave us we absolutely do not deserve and is very unappreciative. In fact if you read almost every one of these reviews they commend us that our best attribute is our punctuality, responsiveness, and communication. On top of that our quality of work is top notch! The total material and labor cost was $16,880.41. Not a random $17,000. I spent hours collecting these numbers for you and kept my word by sending you this proposal within 48 hours. Most contractors for a job this size do much worse especially during Christmas. I would appreciate it if you would remove these remarks of slander on my company and acknowledge that my company could be jeopardized by a senseless review like this. Again, If you would like me to forward my phone records, email records, and quick book records I would be more than happy to. I apologize that there has been a miscommunication, but it is not on our end. Best of luck"

The project was split into two. First the ceilings and painting which was done by an excellent painter and his assistant. They were very careful, covering and moving furniture, masking off areas of work and cleaning up every day when they were finished. This took two weeks..
The kitchen renovation was done a few weeks later. This renovation was done by Josh Thomas who was wonderful to work with. I gave him a sketch of what I wanted an he made it happen. It took two weeks with coordination of subcontractors and inspectors. Josh was always available for questions throughout the whole project. I had a few little follow ups items and he was prompt in attending to them.

When he called me he said he doesn't do Brunswick county and has asked that we remove that area from the deal. He was totally professional and even tried to find someone to do the work for me that was in my county. He could not have been nicer about the situation.

Things went great. ?Josh is great with communication. ?If he was going to be late he always called and I knew what time to expect him to arrive each day. ?He's very honest (this has been something lacking in my previous contractors!) and prices were within range of my other estimates. ?Highly recommend!

Josh was fantastic. I contacted him to come out and provide an estimate for a deck we wanted built in a "dead space" beside the house. He came as scheduled, discussed what we wanted done, asked questions, made suggestions and provided a quote 3 days later as promised. We agreed to the price and scheduled the work for early November. Josh and his crew showed up as scheduled and did a fantastic job. The work was done on schedule and on budget and we'll definitely use Thomas Trades again. I have Josh doing estimates for 2 more projects we want done. We can't speak highly enough about Josh, his knowledge, his professionalism and of course his skills.

Our house is transformed! Josh and his crew did a wonderful job and gave the place a fresh new look. It was a difficult job with unusual siding on the house that took quite a bit of attention to detail. We had gotten several estimates and what drew us to Thomas Trades was Josh's enthusiasm and positive attitude toward working on our house. Everyone was easy to work with, the hidden damage we anticipated was pointed out and repaired, and the schedule moved along nicely. The house looks great!

Our fireplace mantle was too high to mount the TV above it and allow for comfortable viewing. It needed to be lowered and the wall above needed to match the decor of the rest of the room.
Josh was very responsive, looked at the job and gave us an estimate.
We were away when the work was done but Josh and Scott (his carpenter) stayed in close contact to keep us updated on the progress. The work was done over a 3 day period. The work site was clean.
The end result was excellent. Josh is easy to work with, good to his word, and ensures the job is done to your satisfaction. My wife and I were delighted with the results.
We live in Landfall and unfortunately many contractors charge a premium for living here. Josh is very fair in his pricing.
Do not hesitate to call Josh and hire him. All you need to do is meet with him once and you will understand.

Josh, his wife, and team were amazing! I emailed Josh when I decided that I wanted my living room and kitchen painted but was not sure about how many painters it would take and if it could be done in one day. Josh quickly responded to my email and made an appointment to come to my home the next day. He told me that he was able to complete the work I wanted with in one day and even said that he could do the trim, touch up the doors, and even patch up the holes in the wall as well which I was not expecting! On the day of the job, Josh and his team were great! They were one time, polite, and professional. I went to work not too long after they started and when I got home it was like they were not even there. The best part of all was my living room and kitchen looked fabulous! Josh even followed up with me the next morning to make sure that everything went smoothly and looked the way that I wanted it to. I cant even begin to say how great Josh, his wife, and team are. They were all so friendly and professional. I will most definitely do business with them again and recommend them to friends and family!

Very good company to work with. Worked with owner got and estimate and set up time for his team to come in and fix problem. Took about a week they fixed ceiling in my bathroom and replaced drywall in ceiling of my laundry room as well as fixed drywall between two rooms. Also repainted entire bathroom and painted both ceilings which looked awesome. Could not be their for some of week but they still came everyday and locked up and also cleaned up everyday also. Would highly recommend and would use again. Put na on price because was not sure about the final price my neighbor paid bill since his unit had caused the damage to my condo. But did have a couple of estimates and they were all about the same but I really liked them the best had the best attitude and seemed to want to do the job. Would highly recommend and would work with again.

Prompt, courteous and honest owner Josh and his wife Kayla. They helped move a heavy bed the evening before. I had a prepaid deal through Angie's list for 6 hrs of work. It went a couple of hrs beyond as one wall needed spackling, smoothing and drying time and only Kayla was available to do the work. She does work fast and they both promptly came back the next day to do some minor touchups I brought to their attention. Their hourly rate is reasonable. Very pleased overall.
