I would NEVER be able to recommend this contractor to anyone!  He did not finish the shower tile job that he started for me, and so I had three other reputable tile contractors come to look at the job to complete it, and all three of them took pictures of the work and said that it was the worst tile job they had ever seen in their lives!  They wanted to use it as an example of how NOT to do tile for their apprentices.  Well beyond being aesthetically horrible, incorrect products were used to complete the job, and plumbing piping was tiled in so you couldn't get to the pipes to connect the shower water line.  They also didn't use the drop cloths that were provided for them, so the seagrass flooring is permanently stained and ruined and needs to be replaced.  All three tile contractors said there is no other way to fix this tile catastrophe, so it needs to be completely torn out and re-done.  Even worse is that TCB Painting continued to request money all throughout the job (well beyond a down-payment at start of the job), so I generously paid them in advance of when I should have - for 90% of the job - that now has to be torn out.  When I approached Neil Daniels, the owner, about the situation and asked that he work with me on returning a portion of the payment, he said "you pretty much get what you pay for!"
As far as mudding and painting, they left that unfinished and incorrectly done, too.
If you hire this company to do work for you, be prepared that the company owner will be eager to please in the beginning, but he is pressured for money and if you pay more than a downpayment until completion, the business relationship will go bad very quickly.

It took him 2 hours 1/2 to do it and it is lousy, there is a gap between the faucet and the wall so the faucet is not secure and moves when you touch it !!!!!!!!!

Neal Daniels was professional at first: came to the house, gave us an estimate, and once we gave him the job, showed up on time with his crew to start the work. Our first disagreement should have been a sign to stop the job - but we didn't - Neal had told us we could have one coat of hand-brushed paint or two coats sprayed. Day one, he forgot all about that conversation and explained how much better the paint job would be if sprayed. We let him continue the work. The porch looked to be pretty well constructed and the paint job looked OK until each time it rained, various bubbles would appear in the paint. Within a few months, the nails used on the porch railings started to rust. The poor quality of the caulking work became evident and we called Neal to come out and have a look. He sent a man on on at least two different occasions to do some recaulking - each time making the recaulked area look worse than before, especially on the porch. The entire house was sprayed (siding AND trim) with a flat paint. The porch does not appear to have been primed as chips started appearing within months of the new paint being applied and bare wood became exposed. After dozens of phone calls to Neal and a variety of excuses from him, we just gave up trying to get him to make good on his work. Now, 3 and 1/2 years later, we have water leaking in through the siding he repaired on one side of the house and a variety of badly caulked woodwork that will have to be replaced. It will be the last time we hire anyone without consulting Angieslist first. Do NOT hire TCB Painting if you want a decent quality job by a company who will stand behing their work.

He gave me a reasonable estimate compared to others I received. He said if he did not do a good job, he would come back to guarantee his work, but he did a great job the first time.
