Reilly’s Handyman Services are a third-generation, father-and-son, family-owned business. We registered our business with Wake County in 2004, have city licenses and have $1M of project insurance. We understand how difficult it can be to find a contractor that provides you with high-quality craftsmanship and affordable prices without sacrificing quality. That’s why we provide our customers with honest, professional and reliable services for their home improvement and renovation needs. We have developed a reputation for handling any size project efficiently and quickly for residential properties. Our goals over the years have always been to provide customers with exceptional services focused on their individual needs. 10 employees. Cost is determined by the job. No travel charges. Family owned.

Very satisfied with the work. Norm responded to my request quickly, came out to give me an estimate the next day. 3 days later the job was complete. We will certainly call them in the future.

In general, work was of good quality and they cleaned up well. My only complaints are:
1. A squirrel got into attic and when soffit was repaired the squirrel could not get out and died in attic. This created a huge stink until I figured out what was going on and got the dead squirrel out and had to replace some of the insulation.
2. There was a security light that was located on the soffit that does not work since the roof was done. I believe the wires became disconnected and was not reconnected properly. I saw the light hanging by the wires when the roofers were there.
3. I paid half ($2,075) of the $4,150 up front and then the rest on completion of the job. At the completion, as I was writing the check Norm insisted that I owed $2,750. I had to get the quote to show him that the amount that I owed was actually $2,075. This situation was uncomfortable for me.

Extremely well. ?Normal 7 year exterior maintenance. I employ Reilly's every 5-7 years to repair/replace/paint as normal maintenance that makes our house sparkle. I highly recommended the company to my friends. ?Excellent service team, prompt execution at a fair price.

We hired Norm and company to replace rotten floor joists and to replace the deck. From the initial contact through to job completion, Norm was communicative and generally easy to deal with.
The level of craft and workmanship is well beyond what we expected for the price. The floor repair is rock solid. The deck is fabulous.

Everything went well from the initial estimate to the final work. The workers came early and stayed late to make sure the job was done correctly and on time. On one occasion, I had to bring out some flashlights since the men insisted on working way into the night to complete the project! Although there was some price adjustment based on additional work that was identified, the adjustment was fair and enabled the job to be successfully completed. The workers did excellent quality work and kept the work area clean throughout the process. Would highly recommend.

Norm Reilly came over the day after I called him. He assessed the situation, taking notes, and then gave me an estimate and the time frame in which the work would be done.
The following week, he called and asked if his people could come over the next afternoon. Jeff and his assistant arrived on time and plunged into the carpentry work. They did a great job.
The next morning, two other people painted the new boards. Reilly checked his crew's work, and we settled up.
We were pleased with job done by Norm Reilly and his people.

Different crew for roofing, carpentry, and painting, Each crew is specialized to the task. No delay between the scheduling of different crew. Entire project went smoothly and was done within two weeks. The crews are courteous, skillful, and professional. Each day the work site was cleaned before departure. The owner is very knowledgeable of various tasks and very responsive to our requests. We are very satisfied with the work done to our house.

His painter, intending to leave his finished work perfect, polished the wood floors with some kind of wax product. It left a film unintentionally. Owner Reilly responded to our complaint immediately and paid for a flooring subcontractor to fix the problem. We were impressed with the how well Reilly took responsibility at his own expense and saw to it that we were satisfied.

Sent in request to get a quote on some finish install work for a master bath project. Owner responded promptly at the agreed to time and provided a quote which although high was accepted and a date was scheduled to have the work begin.
The crew however arrived 45 minutes late and proceeded to stand around, going back to their van a few times. After 30 minutes of standing around they decided they could not or did not want to do the project and just walked out.
Owner refunded my deposit promptly but I still would not recommend using this vendor.

"I'm sorry to receive such a bad review from someone we didn't work for. I understand [Removed Member Name] is upset we could not accept or agree to finish a batched project and warrant someone else's mistakes. He incorrectly installed a shower with the plumbing too deep in the wall. We would have needed to remove the wall to correctly do this job. He installed bathtub plumbing between floors without stubbing them through correctly. He then covered them with floor tiles. We would have needed to remove floor tiles just to find the pipes. Based on comments from the owner the plumbing was incorrect and we didn't feel responsible to warrant someone else's mistake if it leaks. We would have needed to do the plumbing our selves to ensure it didn't leak and to warrant it. [Removed Member Name] should have said his vanity and sink didn't fit in the space created for it, I spent some time to help him understand how he could correctly install it without removing a newly tiled wall as he planned. I know if a project is wrong and a person can't find someone to rig it up, it's frustrating. But, I don't believe his comments were valid. I do high quality work only, and refuse to have any acceptations that will cause problems after the job is finished."

Reilly's Handyman service did a fantastic job repairing the exterior woodwork on our home. Mr. Reilly was very polite and professional. His carpenters are excellent craftsmen and the crew was very pleasant to work with. The painting crew also did a beautiful job. We would use them again!

We were very happy with Reilly's Handyman Services. Norm's crew was friendly and professional and attentive to detail. We've used Reilly's several times in the past couple of years for various projects. They have resided our chimney, replaced porch railing, removed and installed lighting fixtures, removed/replaced faucets and drains and painted our hall banister and wainscoating and two bathrooms.. We undoubtedly will need more handyman help in the future and will definitely call Norm Reilly again.

Called Norm to schedule an estimate for some trim and a large window replacement. We walked through all the items I wanted replaced and I received an estimate that day with the start date for the work. Everything was completed to satisfaction and very quickly. The crew Norm uses has been with him for a long time and they work well together. Their attention to detail and professionalism is one of the main reasons I keep calling them back to work on my home. I've noticed that these guys actually care about what their doing and the finished product shows. I should probably mention, this is the third job I've hired them for and I'm already planning to call them for some other items I need to be repaired. Reilly's does a lot of different types of work, but if you need someone for siding and windows, you'd be crazy not to try them.
