The quality and craftsmanship of the fence are excellent... The pickets are not exactly what I expected, but the fence we received is a very good value for the price paid. In fairness, I explained we were on a tight budget, so I should have more clearly described the type of picket I was looking for. I would not hesitate to recommend or use this provider again.

The owner and his employees worked hard, even in high heat, to install our fence. They had to work on a slight slope and around trees. The job turned out beautifully. They are very busy, so it did require a wait. But the quality of work and the price made it worth it. I would highly recommend them.

We called James because we saw his work in the neighborhood. James came out and measured, gave us an estimate and scheduled the work. The crew arrived on the scheduled day and completed the job when they said it would be done. This crew worked hard in 90 degree weather. The final bill was what was quoted. No surprises. The quality of the fence and workmanship is EXCELLENT!! Our entire experience with British Standard Fence was the BEST. I can recommend British Standard Fence with the highest confidence. This is a great company who keeps their word and produces a superior product.

I provided requested information, there was no confirmation and no one ever came out. A service provider should not advertise on a service website if they are not going to respond to service requests. Out of the three quote requests I put in on Angie's List, only one company got back with me, after I responded with acceptable date and address they did not even respond again. If you're in the same situation, I ended up getting one of the national hardware chains to come out for the job. Not the experience I wanted, but still did get a 10 year warranty and the pet containment I needed.

James was a pleasure to deal with. His crew worked super fast and they were done in no time at all. The fence looks awesome and we will definitely be using them in the future for any of our fencing needs.

They did a very beautiful job of installing the new fence. The lot was not easy, a very steep hilly back yard. They do require a lengthy lead time to schedule, but if you are not in a rush the final product is great. I am very pleased with the work they did building our fence.

James and his crew built a wood picket fence that covered about half of my back yard, that was approximately 225ft total. They were very professional. The work was completed in two days. The fence is pleasant to look at and will certainty add value to my property.

The crew of British Standard Fence did an excellent job. Because of having to sink the posts in concrete which had to set for a day, the job was started on Wednesday and finished on the following Monday. Each night they left the property completely clean. The fence is exactly what I asked for and I am completely satisfied with their work.

A GREAT experience. After being backburnered for 8 weeks by another fencing company with my deposit (who I've worked with before), I called James. We scheduled an onsite estimate, he arrived early (!) and measured and gave me a quote within minutes. His quote was significantly less expensive than my earlier competitive bid. He even moved his schedule up for me, as I had already moved into a new house ( with no fence and 2 big dogs.) His crew came on schedule, had to work on difficult, slippery red clay slopes at times, and were superstars. Everything was done right, and done well. They say that the dilemma of managing a job is that you can only choose two out of three options--time, money, or quality. One has to be sacrificed for the other two. But, I got all three. Highly recommended. Look no further.

I contacted James to schedule an appointment for an estimate. He came out the same day! He walked our property and gave us some options. His price was very competitive and I was able to use the 5% coupon. He let us know upfront that he had jobs scheduled for the next six weeks or so, but that worked well with our timeline. We scheduled the work and his crew showed up and did a very professional job. They were able to handle the variations in elevation in our backyard and the fence looks great!

Punctual, professional, and did a fabulous job. We were so pleased with the work, we have contracted for another job with British Standard Fence. Fence was built on a very wooded lot that is sloped on all sides. Difficult job and he removed an old chain-link fence from the property. Excellent workmanship and quality materials. Would highly recommend them.

James was very prompt in responding to our call. He gave us an estimate on the spot. When they started installing the fence, they worked very hard to adapt it to our hilly landscape. The fence was completed in 3 days, and could not be more perfect in every way.

The crew was very professional and very exacting in the work they performed. They took their time and made sure that all segments of the fence were straight and level. The ornamental fence that lined the driveway was done in such a manner that it really enhances the overall look of our home. It has a nice graceful curve that gives it a very custom feel. James is great to work with. He came by twice to work with us on the extent and design of the fence; listening carefully to what we were trying to achieve and came up with the recommendation that we chose to install. We have built many different styles of fence from a custom built wood picket to a privacy fence. The workmanship and end result of this latest effort is a top result for us.

The project went off without a hitch. The installers did great work and James was communicative and punctual. The fence looks great and has received compliments from neighbors.

Quality of the work and attention to detail was great and the fence is spectacular. They did a superior jobs with the gates and hardware and the finishing touch of the caps for all the fence posts. We could not be happier with final results.

James provided a quality product at a good price combined with great service. James was responsive to my request for an estimate and was willing to fit a small job into his schedule to meet my requested timeline. I would definitely call British Standard Fence again for any fence requirement.

Added bonus - James noticed that the existing latches on our garden gates were awkward and replaced both with the best functioning hardware.

James responded to my initial request for estimate very promptly. He was right on time for the appointment and provided me an estimate. He installed the fencing as I requested in the time frame that was specified and for the price agreed upon. The work was done in an efficient and quality manner. I will likely have more fencing installed in the future and will call James again.
