BEBBER INSURANCE

We moved into the Asheville area in 2006. Needing an insurance agent for home and auto, we selected an Erie Insurance agent. I had had an Erie Agent when I lived in Northern Virginia, and he was very good as was the insurance. We selected the Bebber Insurance Agency on Patton Avenue. In the approximate five years we used this agency, we had maybe two claims, both of which were paid as expected. The problem is not with Erie as an insurance company, but with the agent. This agency is just plain bad. They never answer their phone; our calls almost always go to voicemail. And when they do return our calls, it is never prompt -- sometimes days later if then and usually we have to call them several times. What I want most out of an agent is for them to be there when I need them and to promptly handle my call and issues. I don't need them very often, but when I do, I expect them to be there. This agent was never there when I needed them. Go with Erie, but not with the Bebber Agency.
