I contacted George to get a consult on replacing our old aluminum windows. George set up an appointment within several days, arrived early, and did a phenomenal pitch. This is where the story takes a turn.
After receiving a very competitive bid from George, our project was put on hold primarily because of some other renovation priorities. Over the course of 1 1/2 years George helped us consider other window solution alternatives, brought out samples, provided design advice, and let me know that whenever we were ready to move forward to just give him a call.
When we were ready to move forward with the windows, George returned again to make sure we were comfortable with the window accessories, and reviewed our paperwork and measurements that were taken a year and a half ago. The windows arrived in timely manner and our appointment was set-up as we were promised. The installers were amazing and did a fantastic job to say the least. To give you some context, we had a contractor tell us that we would have to rebuild every window in order to "make it work" in the framing. This rebuild would've cost us over $30,000! Avery, miraculously installed our windows without rebuilding anything. I feel like we live in a new home already and we haven't replace all our windows yet.

We purchased our door from Masterpiece Windows of Cary, NC. We met the owner George Sullivan while he was installing windows on a neighbors house. When the job he was doing was done we went to look at it and we liked it and we liked George Sullivan of Masterpiece Windows. Wincore builds a beautiful door and George gave us grate service and price. His installers are out of this world with quality workmanship. We were very happy with the whole operation from start to finish. We would let him work for any member of our family and know they will get exactly what they pay for and more.

It was amazing from start to finishl. This was one of the best things we did to our home. We had 5 drafty windows that needed major replacing. George recommended a different window configuration to replace these old wood windows that were painted shut, had grids and were very drafty. The results were AMAZING! We love the huge open view to our backyard! The new windows open easily and no drafts! We shopped this with several window companies and are so glad we picked Masterpiece. George was the only one to suggest something that would enhance the breakfast nook and not just replace with the same look. Price was also less than the others. ALSO, Avery is the man! He did an awesome job with the installation. I don't know how he got it to look that good, but somehow it looks like the windows always belonged there. He is an artist! He takes his time and does in perfectly! Best experience ever and I can't wait to get some more windows for other rooms in our home. It went very smoothly. After we decided which windows we were going to replace, we gave him a deposit, he ordered the windows and when the windows came in, he scheduled the install. Avery and his partner did an excellent job installing the windows. While installing the windows, Avery noticed some wood rot and replaced the wood rot with PVC prior to the installation of the window(s). Excellent work!

I wanted to write a quick update about the windows we recently replaced with Masterpiece Windows. Just two weeks after signing the contract with them, we now have several new windows installed and ready to go!
George, the owner and salesman, came out and showed us the Simonton windows that he offers. He was very professional and took great care to be punctual. During his presentation, he took time to answer all of our questions, and ultimately worked with us to purchase through a special that was running on Angie's list to help increase our savings. He gave us suggestions on ways we could lower the cost without compromising on the finished product (for example, only putting grids on the windows that face the front of the house). He explained exactly when we could expect the windows to be ordered, and let us know right up front that he would call to schedule the installation once the windows had been manufactured and delivered.
Fast forward 10 days. George called to schedule the installation, and his installer, Avery, just so happened to have an opening the following weekend at 8am. Avery called me that morning, and asked if it would be ok if they were a little later. That was the weekend we'd had a significant amount of ice and snow and some of his crew were coming a little further in the weather. He offered to send a member of his crew out ahead of the others if I had somewhere to be. The total delay was merely 30 minutes, and given the weather, that was impressive in an of itself.
Avery and crew were very professional and considerate. They laid down tarps to protect our floors from the ice and snow, removed pictures hanging on the walls to avoid accidentally bumping them, moved furniture out of the way, and removed blinds and window treatments. One of the other things that impressed me was that given how cold it was that day, they were kind enough to only work on one or two windows at a time, so as not to have my heater running unnecessarily. When they were finished, Avery walked me through how to operate the new window features, made sure all of the furniture that they'd moved was placed back where it belonged, and all window treatments and blinds were installed and operational. He and his crew vacuumed their way out of my house, making sure that anywhere they were was cleaned and ready to go when they left.
We are very pleased with the windows, George, and Avery, and would gladly recommend them to friends & neighbors.

Words cannot express the gratitude and appreciation I have for George (Owner) and Avery (installer) of Masterpiece windows. The experience we had working with them was one of ease and professionalism. We had recently purchased a large home that was 20 years old with almost all orginal wood windows that were in extremely bad shape. Most windows could not even be opened. We were aware of this situation prior to our negotiations to purchase the home. We had to find someone very quickly to come in assess the situation and give us a quote on what needed to be replaced so we could negotiate the costs into our offer. George was quick to respond, coming out the same day and returned a professional assesment of the window conditions and quote to replace with in 24 hours. We did get several quotes, but the level of service, attention to detail and understanding of our situation we received from Masterpiece made them a clear winner. When it came to installation Avery and his team were punctual, clean and finished the job on time. The finished product is stunning and we couldn't be happier. George is a master salesman - smooth, honest, direct and to the point. We were impressed by his demo and no pressure sales pitch - letting us know what was best for us without putting his business first. He kept us up to date with the timelines for the project once we signed the contract. Then George pulled another ace up his sleeve - Master Craftsman Avery and Crew. Avery is BEST in window business and he made sure it was a perfect job. We had an excellent experience with Masterpiece Windows from start to finish. We had 6 different companies come to our home for estimates. George by far was the most professional and respectful out of the batch. We did some research and determined that we wanted Simenton replacement windows for our home and those are the are the brand that Masterpiece sells. George came to our home in a timely fashion and gave the most professional educational presentation out of the competitors. There were no tricks, gimmick, or hard sale tactics involved, just a great price for an excellent product. The other reason we went with Masterpiece was because of the very seasoned installer that George works with. His installer is named Avery. Avery has years of experience installing windows. Installation is one of the most vital parts so knowing we had an expert installer gave us piece of mind. This company is all about customer service. They strive to make sure the customer is completely satisfied. Both George and Avery were 100% driven to make us happy and it was such a pleasure to work with them both. I can't begin to explain how wonderful Masterpiece Windows' customer service, products, and installation are! George, the owner, came to our home and showed us how the Simonton windows are far and above more energy efficient, cost effective, and beautiful than any other windows on the market. He demonstrated very effectively how the windows repel heat and cold so much more than other windows. And he is such a pleasant and personable man to work with. The installation, under the auspices of Avery's highly experienced crew, was a sight to behold. They were so careful not to damage or make messes in the interior or exterior of my home, and they did a beautiful job. Now, 2 years later, my windows and my front entrance door and sidelights are still gorgeous and our home is so much more energy efficient. If you need window or door replacement, you'd be doing yourself a disservice not to engage the services of Masterpiece Windows!
Update: Just recently (09/2015), a work crew at my house damaged one of my window screens. George came to my home to retrieve the screen and take it to be repaired, at no cost! Now that's customer service!

George Sullivan came within a day or two of my first contacting his company, and he gave a killer presentation. I learned more about windows than I ever thought I wanted to know. And he made it interesting. His product is clearly a superior one, the price was fair and I placed my order right then and there. A few days later, George called to explain that the casement window I originally ordered might not be ideal. He explained the difference, including that the change would save me about $100. Excellent. About two weeks later, the windows were delivered, and the next day they were installed by Avery and a helper. Clearly they have done this more than once. The work was fast, professional and friendly.
I could not be happier with the service or the windows. The first thing I noticed is that the house is a little quieter. The house is on a corner, and the noise is quite a bit less. These windows are also energy efficient. I'm already seeing a difference with the cycling on and off of my AC. I expect good things with my next bill.
I will absolutely recommend George Sullivan and his company to other people.

Masterpiece Window is one of the most professional companies I have ever dealt with. George Sullivan, owner, is the consummate professional, as is his installer, Avery, and his assistant. At every turn, these gentlemen were exemplary! Always on time, always as considerate of my home, property, furniture and possessions! Avery is a master craftsman! His measurements of my window were "spot-on". Watching him slide the window in place was like watching Prince Charming slide the glass slipper on Cinderella's foot - a PERFECT fit! When he finished, Avery meticulously cleaned up! I would hire them again in a heartbeat and only wish there was a higher rating than "A" to recommend them.

George showed up and did an extensive review of our window needs including measuring all of our windows and doing a price estimate. The windows he sold were on Consumer Reports as a Best Buy so we were confident in the brand of windows. When George came to do the contract the carpenter measured all our windows independently. The installers were exactly on time and all our windows look great. We have a large job and will be replacing our windows in phases and will continue to use this company.

I went with this company, because the make of windows they carry were reviewed well on the internet and the heat retention demo I was shown was very impressive. The install went quite smoothly - the only problem I encountered was in scheduling the work; poor communication as to when the work would be performed resulted in follow-up and lost time at my end. All in all, a positive enterprise.

Our sidelight window had a crop of mushrooms growing on the bottom of it, which were getting larger with every rain storm. Plus, the bottom of the door had never been properly sealed by the builder. After a pretty sizable home renovation, we wanted to try a business other than a big box store to replace the front door and two sidelight windows.
George was certain he could beat the other estimates cost-wise, which he definitely did by about 20%. We were also delighted to not have to deal with a four-hour window for the measurements and installation. George was understanding about our scheduling issues and arrived promptly when we did settle on a time.
George is pleasant to work with, and his workers were quiet, clean and efficient. They didn't leave a mess for me to clean, which I really appreciate. The only downside was that George didn't have a photo of the door I was getting. I believe this is because my order was very standard issue. But it turned out fine. The door and windows were steel and fiberglass, a better choice than the builder's original wood window frames for the wet, rainy climate here. The front door and side light windows from Masterpiece are sturdy, waterproof, properly sealed and mushroom-free! It was a pleasure working with George and his installers. I would definitely recommend them.

George, the sales representative for Simonton Windows, is very easy to work with. He is very responsive and knows what he is talking about when it comes to windows. I only had one bathroom window replaced but I cannot tell George treated me any different than his other customers who have 10+ windows replaced. There was a misunderstanding between installer and me in regard to the quote. George is willing to sacrifice his own profit to achieve customer satisfaction.
His installer team (Avery & et al) is very professional and did a very good job. My old window was a site-built window, which required extra effort to tear out and replace. But at the end of the day I am thrilled with shining new window! I really appreciate Avery took the time to clean my home or the job site very thoroughly!

We did our research and knew we wanted Simonton replacement windows for our home. Got an estimate a big box retailer and then decided to try to find someone else who sold and installed Simonton locally for another quote. Found Masterpiece Windows on Angie's List and George responded immediately and met us within a few days. We were very familiar with Simonton, but George had even more information to share with this. Not only did we get a savings of about 40% from the big box guys, we felt much more confident with George's ability to handle all the custom sized windows we were replacing and his overall installation team who were prepared to handle any problems they may incur with rotten wood on our exterior sills (no surprises here, the window sills and frame were fine).
George had a portfolio of photos with similar trapezoid, pentagon, casement, and slider windows he had installed and that helped us understand what replacement windows would look like in our home. We had planned to replace 3 double hung windows with the same, but George suggested casement and fixed windows on the back of our home to maximize our beautiful views. We had not thought of this and we could not have been happier once they were installed.
The main reason we were replacing windows was to try to reduce the amount of heat coming through our older windows that faced west and got afternoon sun all day. What a difference new windows made! You can't feel any heat standing in front of the windows with full afternoon summer sun! The odd shaped trapezoid and pentagon windows are 6 feet tall and fit perfectly. Avery and his team were efficient, professional, and left our home as clean as when they arrived. There were NO surprises! George and his team did exactly what they promised and we will use them again for the windows on the rest of our home when we are ready to replace.

You can't feel any heat standing in front of the windows with full afternoon summer sun! The odd shaped trapezoid and pentagon windows are 6 feet tall and fit perfectly. Avery and his team were efficient, professional, and left our home as clean as when they arrived. There were NO surprises! George and his team did exactly what they promised and we will use them again for the windows on the rest of our home when we are ready to replace.

Our experience with George Sullivan (the sales representative) and Avery (the installer) and his crew was excellent: the lowest price, excellent products, beautiful installation in a difficult house, and quick completion. Less than three weeks after we signed the contract, the project was complete. The actual installation took only two days.
We met with four replacement window companies: Window World, Aluminum Company of NC, My Guys Remodeling, and Masterpiece. We received price proposals from each. Masterpiece's price proposal was $1,200 below Window World and at least $4,000 below the other two companies. And they furnished a superior window.
I am an architect, practicing for almost 30 years, and I have learned a lot about windows. And I am very picky. Masterpiece represents Simonton Windows, that are manufactured in Virginia; a great product. And as I noted above, the craftsmanship of the installers was excellent. Three of the four men were older than I am; real craftsman, and they were picky too. I did not need to worry about cutting corners or expeditious solutions. They did it right.
It's just nice to be able to write a glowing review about a job well done. I deal with design and construction every day, and these guys are special.

The entire process was very smooth. I will admit I felt skeptical through most of the decision phase when looking at various companies. Rarely has a company impressed me from the beginning sales pitch through the final execution. Masterpiece did that! After the initial sales pitch I was skeptical that the company was as good as they said they were. Too many things seemed too good to be true so I researched them and couldn't find a bad thing. The owner, George Sullivan, spent almost 3 hours with me which was longer than I planned, but gave me more comfort he was the real deal. He was overly passionate about his company, his work staff and the quality of the Simonton Windows. I asked as many tough questions that I could think of and got good honest answers for each. I took several more weeks after the first meeting to decide on a company, but chose Masterpiece in the end. The passion and honesty, the fair price, good research results, great windows and the recommendation (George provided me upon my request) of two home owners who used Masterpiece in previous years made my decision much easier.
It was several more weeks after signing the contract that we had the work done. The crew only does installs on the weekend which was different, but again made me feel more comfortable with them. I did not have to take off work to supervise the job which was nice. They arrived early on a Saturday and worked until 6pm. About 2/3's of the job was done the first day. The crew leader, Avery, was everything George touted him to be. It was obvious his crew respected him and they made sure they all did excellent work. They were courteous and respectful of our home and the impact they had for the 2 day job. They actually seemed genuinely happy to be working which was good to see. They were quick and efficient and from what I watched they seemed to make sure the install was flawless. On Sunday they finished in about 5 hours. I was very impressed with their work. I did ask that they go back on some of the windows that I noticed had little holes in the caulking, but they willingly re-caulked any windows with this issue. My only suggestion to the owner was that I would have appreciated a final walk through with the crew leader to inspect each window and the door to make sure I was totally satisfied. I did this on my own and found everything acceptable.
Some things I was specifically impressed with was:
1. George's way of expecting and providing perfectionism. George's passion for the product.
2. Avery was an excellent crew leader who was engaged in the whole job. His crew was also great.
3. The quality of the product and the lifetime warranty.
4. The 5 year Masterpiece warranty on the workmanship.
5. The availability and quickness of install.
6. The price that I found fair for the quality of the product and after the job for the workmanship the crew provided.
We have been enjoying our windows for almost 2 months now. They are really great windows that we are taking full advantage of with the nice weather days. The ease of opening and cleaning these windows is wonderful. We also have noticed some difference in the noise reduction of the windows. We live near RDU airport and the planes fly over us. The noise reduction is nice and we hope to see some money savings in the efficiency of the windows soon. Many thanks to Masterpiece for a flawless process! As a homeowner who was spending a lot on this job I am grateful that there are companies out there who know how to treat their customers.

It was a terrific experience, start to finish. George is a true professional in every sense of the word. He is thorough, punctual, and customer focused. The entire process is very transparent and things happened exactly as he described. His installers are equally thorough and professional. The materials arrived on schedule, the installation crew arrived on the date and time they said they would and the install proceeded exactly according to plan. I get the impression that Avery, the lead installer, is a master craftsman. He oversees the quality of the installation closely and he made a few decisions on our job (without me having to ask) that resulted in a beautiful finished result! The did an excellent job cleaning up and putting everything back exactly as it was when they arrived. This is not a group of cheap laborers that might change all the time. Rather this is a well-seasoned group that works well together! Masterpiece uses Simonton windows. I did my research and can tell you that you can find cheaper windows...and more expensive ones too. But the total combination of window quality (great warranty too) and great install experience, Masterpiece was hands down, the right choice! Highly recommend!
