The Artisan staff (Abel and Amy) were extremely professional, honest, responsive, and flexible from the time that I requested an estimate until the job was completed. It couldn't have been easier and the roof looks fine. I highly recommend them.

It was fine. It has rained since then and hasn't leaked. So far, so good.

Abel and his crew were great. Very nice, very professional and worked with me to get everything done that we needed to get done. We have an approximately 3000 sq ft one story ranch house that includes a 3 car garage and connected guest cottage. Plus a barn and chicken house. There was A LOT of roof to cover. Turns out there was a lot more bad wood than we realized, and I had them replace a skylight, so the final price was more than the original quote but I was fine with it. Artisan worked with me to get a good price to do everything at once. They were finished in 2 days with some minor clean up and loose ends into a third day. They cleaned up each evening and the finished roofs look amazing. Its been about 3 weeks now and I don't panic every time it rains anymore. I hope to never need a roofer again, but if I do it'll be Artisan.

Jose and his crew did a great job. We chose them after a very thorough inspection and quote. The crew did a great job protecting the house and our plants during the roof replacement and cleaned up the yard very nicely. The new roof looks great and they fixed our leak.

It took one day to remove old & install new roof. Then a visit the following day for a checkup. I was quite happy with this company & would help Guly recommend.

The owner was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and reliable. His team did exactly what was promised--he came by both days to make sure everything was on track--and they started and finished the job as agreed on. Absolutely painless. Their price was not the lowest but my husband was impressed. I would recommend.

On schedule per selected and agreed-on day to do the work. Crew showed up very early in the morning and on time and the work was finished in one day. Efficient and professional. Good work crew. Only minor complaint is clean up at the end could have been better. Streaks or drips of black tar-like material left on gutters and on house and some window sills were left with debris on them. Jessica in the office was very helpful and also was able to provide addresses for us to go see various shingle colors we were deciding from. Only small office problem was getting a copy of our warranty after the work was completed. It took a month and some phone calls to finally get it. Estimate was a bit higher than expected. But we decided to go with Artisan based on other good reviews and the positive interaction with Abel which gave us confidence the job would be done right. Would have liked a discount for being an Angies List member but the size of our roof did not qualify. Warning! If you do not already have a ridge vent be prepared to clean up a big mess in your attic! As they slice across the peak of the roof all the pieces and chunks of wood and wood dust get all over everything. Wish we had been told this is how it is done and we could have covered things to make it easier to clean up since the pieces get into every nook and cranny of things you have stored below the cut line. Overall Artisan did a quality job and we would be happy to recommend them to friends or neighbors.

Abel and his team did a fantastic job. He isn't the cheapest, but we felt like spending a little more money to have confidence in the work. We are very happy with the end result. They arrived on time and worked efficiently and professionally.

Roof was completed in 1 day and a few hours the next morning, left area very clean. Also replaced two skylights requiring access to the house. Gutters were set up through Artisan using another company, and when a problem arose from the gutters Abel with Artisan facilitated getting the problem fixed ASAP. Would highly recommend Abel and his crew.

Having watched Artisan Quality Roofing put a new roof on a neighbor's house,
I selected them to do mine (a project twice as large).

Everything was professionally done. They removed all the old shingles, repaired a piece
of decking that showed wear, installed the new attic exhaust fan which I provided, and
laid the new roof complete with ridge vents. They carefully covered shrubbery so that it
would not be damaged by any falling shingles.

When the two-day installation was completed, they cleaned the site up, leaving no traces. They
cleaned the gutters and swept the lawn with magnets to get rid of any old nails which had fallen there.

As they were leaving, the supervisor came by to do a walk-through and see that I was
satisfied with the job.

Abel and I talked on the phone and I emailed him pictures of the roof. I had his proposal later the same day. The price was very fair compared to other proposals. On the day of the repair he and his team were timely, professional, and quick. The work was done and cleanup complete in a few hours. I'm very happy with the transaction and the results. Aritsan did a quality job.  It took two days.  The replaced the flashing, placed a membrane on our kitchen roof, replaced roof boards, removed the old roof vents and added new roof edge vents, replaced all the peak vents.  They installed a much higher quality shingle then was originally installed with a 35 year warranty.  
During the process they covered all the plants and areas before they removed the old roof.  After the job they were meticulous at clean all the roofing material from the ground.  It was spotless when they were done.   There were very friendly and answered any questions that I had.  
We are extremely pleased with the roof.

Crew showed up at 7:00 AM and worked hard all day.  All work was completed by 6:00 PM.  Landscaping was covered.  Debris picked up and area was swept for nails.  Gutters were cleaned.  Abel even spent extra time working with us and our over-the-air HDTV antenna, moving it to a better spot and orienting it.  New roof looks greats.  Couldn't be more pleased.

Abel came out to do an estimate very quickly after we called.  He gave us an estimate on the spot and also an estimate of the work start date.  He helped us pick out our colors and was honest with us about whether or not we needed to do a replacement of our house roof.  His team came out and very quickly and thoroughly finished our project.  The new roof looks great and only time will tell how much the repair has helped with a leak in our house.  We will definitely be giving them a call in the future when we replace our roof.

They were prompt and courteous. It has not rained since but the issues appear to have been addressed and I was given good advice

During the heavy rainfall over the weekend, we noticed a leak above our kitchen window. I called Artisan Quality Builders around 10:00 AM and initially got voicemail, but Abel immediately called me back before I could even leave a message. So the initial response time was fantastic.
Abel told me that he was backed up with a lot of other business at the moment (understandable with the heavy rain), but he took down all my info and said he'd call me back around 1 or 1:30 PM and that he'd be able to come give me an estimate later that day. This was great. It's 10am on a Saturday and I'd managed to find someone that not only answered my call, but was able to come look at my issue that very day. Given that we were expected to get a lot more rain over the weekend and I wanted to get the leak looked at as soon as possible, I opted to miss the College Football game I had tickets to and stay at the house for Abel to come by. And because he sounded great on the phone and was going to come by that day, I chose not to call any other roofing companies. You can probably guess where this is going.
1:30 PM rolls around and I've heard nothing more from Abel. I figure he's probably busy and he'd already told me that morning that he was backed up. 2:00 PM and still no word and I start to get concerned. Their posted Saturday hours only go until 2:00 PM, but I thought maybe with all the business he could be working late. So I give him a call and get his voicemail so I left a message. No return call. I call again at 5:00 PM and no answer. 
It's now three days later and he still hasn't even bothered to follow up with me, not that I'd go with him at this point anyway. I get that it was a very busy weekend for any roofer that had Saturday hours, but if he's too busy to get to me he should have been upfront about it. Or at least cast some doubt on whether he'd be able to actually get to me that day. It's also possible that after speaking with me, some unforeseeable complication occurred and he was no longer able to get to me. He could at least have the courtesy to call and let me know that, so that I don't change my Saturday plans and wait around all day for a no-show.
There are so many great reviews on here for him, and I'm sure he does great work when he actually shows up, but my personal experience was pretty lousy and I wouldn't recommend this company to a friend.


UPDATE: I see that Abel has responded below. Abel, if you truly do not remember our interaction then you are helping me prove my point. It's understandable that you wouldn't have time to get to me with the volume of calls you were receiving, but communicate that to me. Don't tell me that you'll get to me later that day if you're not certain you'll have time. And if you tell me you will and then later realize you won't have time, call me and let me know. It's disrespectful of me and my time to say you'll come out and then just completely stop all communication.

If you need more details, check your call history. I called you using the number I found here on Angie's List: (919) 906-3791 at 10:19 AM on 10/03/2015. I got a voicemail for an Abel, and before the beep you were already calling me back from the number (919) 656-6319. That received call has a time of 10:20 AM for me. So unless there is another Artisan Quality Builders and another Abel works for them, and they happen to have the same phone numbers as you, I'm pretty sure I got it right here.

I ultimately had the repair done by Dana Dean Roofing and am very happy with the service I received from them.

Everything went very smoothly.  The work was finished in one day.  The results excellent and the cleanup spotless.

Abel's explanations were clear, concise and accurate.  I was impressed by the detail to which he knows and can explain the work he does.  He has unusual professionalism in discussing it with a potential client.  No wasted time in salesmanship, very straightforward.

The solar tube is great!  I love it.
