The work was fantastic. We needed some work done on our 11yr-old roof and a friend recommended I call Abel for a quote. He came to our home and provided a free estimate the day after I contacted him. During his initial inspection, Abel took the time to educate me on the issues present and our options. He showed me where there was work to be done and also provided examples of what it would like upon completion. The estimate was followed up with a prompt email quote, detailing our service options very clearly. We ended up responding to Abel's email several days later and asked to get on his schedule. Due to my family's crazy schedule, we were working with a tight time-frame, but Abel accommodated our needs and came right out to our house to do the job. He arrived on time, was done quickly, and even provided pictures of the roof and materials before and after his work! When I realized I needed to replace my 23 yr old roof, I contacted five roofing companies before deciding to go with Artisan Builders.  Abel was patient and very thorough in his explanation of the work to be done and the timeline. He answered all my questions. He gained my confidence and I am very glad I gave him my business.  He and his crew arrived on time, worked hard, and finished my roof the same day. They were all polite, courteous, and careful of my property. They cleaned up so well that it looked as if they had never been there. After noticing several homes in the neighborhood having roofs replaced, I approached Abel Figueroa from Artisan Quality Builders to look at my roof.  From that time on the experience with Abel and his team was nothing short of perfect.  Abel inspected my roof the next day, and assessed that it had some hail damage.  After I filed a claim with my insurance company, Abel worked with the adjuster to re-inspect the roof, and assisted with the information needed by the adjuster to adjudicate my claim.  Once we had our claim accepted, Abel scheduled us right away for the roof replacement.  Throughout this time, Abel was in constant contact to make sure everything was going well, and if I had any questions.  The day of the job went like clock work.  Abel and crew arrived at the time given, and proceeded quickly, efficiently and expertly with the roof replacement.  The job was completed in one day, and care was taken to clean up the yard of any debris which is ample for a job like this.  Abel uses the same crew for all his jobs and the way they work together, along with their experience, makes for a top notch job. We were highly satisfied with this company and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Artisan Quality Builders did a beautiful job on replacing our roof. They were totally professional, worked efficiently, and were done in one day. The price of the new roof was more than reasonable for the quality of the roofing material, which was a Certainteed 30-year Architectural
roofing shingle.

When asked, Abel (the owner) even made suggestions about what shingle color might look best for my house. The color he suggested was spot-on and the results look great.

The real reason I chose Artisan was because I saw several other homes in our neighborhood having their roofs replaced (most of us had hail damage), and I got to see and compare how all the roofers worked. Artisan was by far the most professional -- their crew worked like a real team, all wore hard hats (safety comes first!), and maintained a clean site as they were working (despite all the debris of tearing down the old roof). I cannot say the same about the other companies that I viewed working on roofs in the neighborhood.

Ohmygosh.  These are the most professional people!  I had a rather unusual request:  My husband built a tree house that touched the sky.  I was not interested in nursing his broken bones, so I convinced him to hire a roofer to finish the job.  Artisan Quality Builders (and Abel) was the answer!  

I was impressed by the level of professionalism from these guys.  Abel was responsive, and his price was exceptional.  The roof I needed was very, very small.  Frankly, I expected it to be difficult to get someone willing to do such a small job, but that was not the case.  Abel sent ME shopping for shingles (pointing me to the supplies on sale at Lowes) in order to keep my expense as low as possible.  With adverse weather, he kept me informed of the scheduling changes to ensure that I was satisfied with the timeframe.

The guys who came to complete the job were very nice.  They showed such pride in their work...even when tip-toeing on the top of a tree house.  

Frankly, anybody who acts as excited about a tree house as these guys...has my confidence...and the recommendation of my kids!

Let me start off first by saying I am a very picky person.  I am a DIYer and I like things done in a certain way, to my exacting standards.  The first plus was Abel from Artisan Quality Builders worked with me.  I like to over engineer everything so my roof had to have 30lb felt and button caps.  Abel was more than happy to work with me and ensured we still kept the shingle manufacturer's warranty.  By the way, they are certainteed certified.  Please consider using manufacturer certified installers.  This ensures the job gets done properly and if there are ever any issues with the shingles the manufacturer will honor the warranty and not claim improper installation.  As an added bonus, Artisan provides a 10 year workmanship warranty.
Punctuality is important as anal as I am.  They said 7am saturday, they were here on time and started immediately.  The roof was done by 3PM.   It was 22 squares if anyone was wondering.  Cleanup was complete and trucks were gone by 3.30PM.  My property was left clean and no nails were in my driveway. 
As some extra added bonuses, I went to Lowes and got some attic exhaust vents they installed for me that I will hook up later.  They also spray painted all the ugly white pipes coming out my roof to black which was a nice touch. 
A quick note on the quoting process.  I received 4 quotes before going with Artisan.  First, their primary business is roofing.  You always want to use someone whose primary business is roofing if you want a new roof.  Also use a manufacturer certified installer.  Of the four quotes, the cheapest quote was 1500 dollars less than Artisan's.  You know why?  Because that "installer" didn't quote for ice guard, starter strips, or ridge shingles.  He wasn't going to use any of that and make his own out of existing shingles.  This is NOT the way to do business.   Once that guy was tossed out, Artisan was right in line with other quotes.  They simply provided me the better customer service and gave me a better feeling as they thoroughly explained the answer to all my questions.
My overall review (if you skimmed the above) is that the owner, Abel, is an honest guy who cares about quality work and customer satisfaction which is rare these days.  He spent so much time with me to ensure I was happy which was definitely above and beyond.   I highly recommend them.

The first time he upgraded our home it was done in a timely manner. He also gave us good advise on what materials to use and he did the job well within the quote. We were so impressed with his work we asked him to build the porch and deck on our new home.  The result is beautiful and again within budget. Not only was it build to our specifications it is very soundly built, using the best quality materials.  I was very impressed with little surprise touched  and his attention to detail.

The team from Artisan Quality Builders replaced our entire roof in a very professional and timely manner. The owner of the company oversaw the entire job to ensure that it was completed according to all my expectations for thoroughness and timeliness. The team also did a fantastic job in cleaning and removing the old debris. The owner of the company has also provided excellent service for siding and chimney cap repairs on our home. I highly recommend Artisan Quality Builders for any home repair or improvement jobs.   

Mr. Figueroa provided a very prompt and complete estimate allowing us to determine that we were getting all the elements we wanted in a new roof including ridge vents; Certainteed Landmark Architectural shingles, new flasing, removal of old shingles, and damaged plywood replacement.  After we accepted his estimate, we were able to set up a time for installation within the next 2 weeks. The roofing crew arrived promptly on the agreed upon date and set to work.  Mr. Figueroa supervised the work himself and documented, through iPad pictures and video, the key elements of the roofing process as well as the places on our roof that needed extra attention/wood replacement because of water damage so that he could share them with me and my husband -- and we didn't even need to leave the house.  Despite the fact that we have a number of dormers and small separate roof areas, the enite job was completed by the end of the afternoon.  The site cleanup was exceptional; best I have ever experienced! I would heartily recommend Abel and his crew.

I could not be more impressed with Abel and his crew.  They showed up early and worked late.  Abel gave me several options and would recommend something of better quality even if it cut into his profit.  They were also working on some window trim and found some rotted wood so he replaced that and didn't charge me any extra.  I've recommended him to everyone I know for ANY construction or remodeling work.
