Southern Paws

Although Southern Paws came highly recommended, we were very disappointed and upset with the results of having our very gentle 3 year old Schnoodle groomed here. The clipping was very uneven, but what was even worse was that this $30.00 "grooming" cost us another $68.00 Vet bill. She caused severe razor burns on his belly, near both hind legs, and also caused severe razor burns between the pads of all 4 of his paws. We have had him groomed many times previously in other towns, but as newcomers to the Vicksburg area, we selected Southern Paws for his first grooming here because this business seemed to have good recommendations from many people in the community. Additionally, we specifically asked that she express his anal glands as part of the grooming, and she said she would do it. When we got him home that evening, he seemed to be in a good bit of distress and kept licking his paws. When we looked at his paws, we found severe reddening down between the pads on all 4 paws. When the vet checked him out the next day, he found the anal glands had not been expressed. The nails also were left so long, our Vet re-cut them the next day, and said he had never seen a worse grooming job.
