I contacted the company and they are sending us a new mechanism and they sent me the directions on how to fix it myself. The repair involves removing the upholstery and taking the entire couch apart. I am not a furniture maker and I would not be able to do this work. I want consumers to be aware of how they scam people into thinking that they are warrantied. When in fact they are not. They will not fix the problem that is theirs due to faulty quality. That is Lane furniture. I will never recommend this company nor ever purchase their products again. I suggest you be aware. The other part of this is the company they sold us the sofa through North Carolina Furniture in Pembroke Pines is now out of business. Don't buy Lane products.
Description of Work: I purchased a reclining motion sofa. It will be 3 years old in mid September. We are not a very physical family. I am a 46 year old man and my uncle is 68. We are not kids jumping up and down and behaving destructively. The metal mechanism broke in the couch 2 weeks ago. As per the warranty, the mechanism is covered. The labor to replace the mechanism is only for 1 year.
