He called on July 4 and asked for payment because his sons wanted to go buy some fireworks. He asked for $300!!! When I protested, he bragged on what a great job was done and how much work it was. (It's a very small yard.) I paid him $100 before I saw the yard.
It turns out that he had completely destroyed the front and side yards and did not even touch the back yard or remove the mass of vines from the fence. He pulled the rain spout off the house and pulled electrical wiring off the neighbor's house. He left such a mess, it cost another $100 just to have someone else clean it up. His sons said they were not even there.
When questioned, he said he used a bush hog, then said it was a bobcat. The neighbor said it was neither. He finally admitted that he didn't do the back yard because he couldn't get the machine through the gate. He said he would refund the $100 I gave him, but that was July 10. It is now Sept. 22 and he has not responded to my messages.
