Initially great. A month after it was installed most of the rock washed away and the 2 6 inch pipe surfaced. I called numerous times but never heard anything back as when they would come out to fix it. I hand shoveled all the rock (about 10-15 yds of rock) and re set all the pipe. 6 months later it happened again. Same story once again. No response. This time i went and bough bigger rock 6-8 inch rock. ($700) and built a riverbed on top of the french drain. Now is a year later and I haven't had another problem as of yet. Second problem, after the french drain job was done, they were supposed to re grade the lawn in which they did. So at this point I was left with no grass. Just a mud hole. After 4 months have passed of them telling me they can't get any grass I decided to go get my own grass and just lay it myself due to fact of all the sediment from the rain and mud just eroding into the newly very expensive french drain. This was a $13000 job and they provided no help or support on multiple occasions. I would advise anyone to steer very clear of these guys.I will most likely pursue the courts to handle it See pictures below as to what I was left with..

He was very professional and was able to come out in a very timely manner.

This was one of the best experiences I've had over the years working with a contractor. I called Murphy's to discuss a patio re-design and Ryan met my wife and I at our house to discuss the same day. He is obviously very experienced in building patios. In discussing, he understood exactly what my wife and I had in mind and offered great insight. He gave a detailed estimate in less than 2 days. We were on their schedule the very next week. Ryan and his crew pretty much finished the entire project in 3 days! It was pretty amazing to see how insanely fast those guys worked. Day 1they re-located our existing "patio" (basically just some shale), excavated, laid the form for the concrete, and set the posts for the pergola. Day 2 they poured concrete and removed/hauled away our old deck. Day 3 they built the pergola, fire pit, and laid sod where the deck used to be. And it looks awesome! I would definitely use Murphy's again. Very pleased.

Ryan Murphy came out and surveyed all of our needs and offered suggestions. Later that day he e-mailed me a quote. We had used them for another job in June and were very satisfied. They are also providing our mowing services. They might not be the cheapest around, but you get what you pay for. To me, it's worth a little more if a contractor shows up on time, does what they say the'll do and explain what they are doing along the way. Needless to say, we are very pleased with our results.

So many contractors these days won't even call you back or show up when they say they will. That has never been an issue with Murphy's.

Ryan, Stephen, and John were all very professional and easy to work with. We were pleased with the attention to detail and the way that their crew worked together. They arrived on time and worked steadily until the job was completed. Unlike other workers we have hired, this crew was neat and quiet. There were no cigarette butts, trash, or fast food wrappers all over the yard. The workers did not play loud music while working. When they finished the job, everything was left spotless - they even blew off the driveway from where their trucks had been. When we had one issue we wanted changed, they returned promptly and fixed it, even though they had already been paid in full. This is a great company to work with!

Ryan and his crew were very professional and knowledgeable. They stayed on the job until it was completed. My husband was out of town during the process, but I never felt like I was being taken advantage of. Ryan explained everything before and offered so many suggestions that really tied it all together. We have a beautiful finished product. We have worked with many contractors over the years and Murphy's is by far the best we have ever used. I highly recommend their services and I plan to use them again in the future. All A's for these guys!!

We live in a small community of 22 homes surrounding a fairly large common area on which we have a gazebo, a 'patio' area with grills for cooking, shaded by numerous trees and decorated with plants, bushes and settings of decorative crepe myrtles. In addition, there is a strip of land outside the fence that has to be kept trimmed.
We have used Murphy's for approximately 9 years and, although they are just a tad expensive, we are willing to stay with them because they have proven to be professional, responsive and completely reliable during that time. As the saying goes, and quot;You get what you pay for!and quot;, and they certainly have done that. They have all the proper equipment and knowledgable people.

Very professional but 3 trips were required to complete the job. Owner could have done a little better keeping me informed of job status, however the job was well done. No 'final inspection' by owner as of yet, but as stated before, the job was well done.

I could not be happier with the service. We have a house in Crossgates and had been (poorly) taking care of the yard ourselves or paying a neighborhood kid to do it. We joined Angie's List and called several services. The owner came out and looked the yard over. He quoted me $100 for the first time and $60 after that. For an additional $40 they cleaned up the bushes that badly needed trimming. They always do a great job with the yard and clean up all the cuttings.

This is the second time we have use Murphy's. The first time was at a previous home and the project was much more extensive. We
were delighted with their work on the first project. Their work this time just didn't live up to our expectations based on the first project. I am not sure if we would use them again or not.

The process went well. They were respectful of my yard, my neighbors driveway( whose permission I had received for them to use for easier access to my back yard). They covered the ground with ply wood to not damage the yard. They were quick but not rushed, they cleaned up when they were through. They did have to remove a section of my wooden fence to gain access. They restored the fence properly when the work was complete.
I do need some landscaping work done now and this is one of the companies I will call for an estimate.

Things went very well. His crew showed up and took care of the job quickly. Everything was knocked out in one day and Ryan returned the second day to verify everything was installed correctly and setup properly. Service was completed 6 months ago and we've had several and quot;goodand quot; rains since then. There is no longer water pooling in the back yard like before.
The sprinkler system does a good job and during the summer months our grass looked very green.
Ryan has also made himself available to answer questions I have about how to best maintain my lawn and has provided excellent advice on fertilizing and other lawn care issues. I am confident some day I will have a lawn as nice as Hank Hill's, thanks to Ryan's advice.
I marked him down on responsiveness because I had a hard time getting in touch with him. I remember having to call the office 2 or 3 times, and eventually having to call him directly. He said this was something they were working to improve, and they were working on setting up a shared calendar system which would allow the office staff to make appointments for Ryan over the phone (instead of requiring the customer to call Ryan). I'm sure it didn't help matters that I was out in Clinton and he was a good 45 minutes away in Brandon.

I have been using them for quiet a while. They do an excellent job.

They always do a good job. You don't have to be home when they do it. I just don't like the price. I think it's a bit much for a yard my size. If you want landscaping done, they will do that. It's so convenient. I don't have to worry about it. They just come and do it.

We have used them several times. We like their work and they are reasonable for what they do. The owner always comes out and gives the estimate and he is very proficient and very professional. They are popular around here in this area. The last time they came we spent $700. We would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future.

They do a really good job. The price depends on what we are having them do. We bought palm trees, did all the landscaping and redid our yard completely so it was very expensive. We spent about $16000. They did a whole lot when we moved into our new house. We didn't have a backyard and they put in everything. They put in French drains, they put in the ground and the planting soil. They put in sod grass all throughout the yard, they imported about 5 palm trees and about 10 tiger palm trees and brought 50 different plants as well. They also put in an underground diffusing plant surround. They did everything. They brought in rocks and did some concrete work. They did the fertilization too. We would continue to use them in the future.

They started coming in early spring of 2010 every 2 weeks to cut the front and back yards. I scaled back to once a month last fall and then back to twice a week this spring, and they totally skipped February. By the time they came out to cut my grass in mid-March, my yard looked like a jungle. And recently, I had to call them twice to come cut my yard in April, which also looked like a jungle, and which they finally did at the end of April. At the beginning they set up a 2-week schedule, which they didn't follow in practice, but would bill for the scheduled dates. I know the dates on the bill didn't match the actual dates because I started keeping track of when they came. Good thing I did, or they would have charged me for 2 visits in January, when they only came once, and 2 visits in February, when they didn't come at all.
