Buffing and cleaning if kitchen area was good but the rest of the house seemed rushed and no change in appearance of slate tile.

"Wow, I was not expecting a bad review. I would like to fill you in on the multi shaped, sized & colored slate cleaning and sealing process (slate is a natural stone). When Marblelife visited the home to give an estimate the home owner was presented with three different suggestions, 1. Clean & seal – 2. clean & Colorseal – 3. clean, Colorseal & enhance the slate. She chose to just clean & seal, my craftsman spent almost an entire day stripping, cleaning & sealing her slate and grout. When he was finished he walked the entire job with the home owner and they loved it, we turned the black dirty slate and grout back to a beautiful appearance again. She had the option to add Colorseal to make all of the grout 100% consistently one color or add enhancer to give the slate a semi-gloss finish. The home owner told our craftsman the grout looked great and that they liked the matte finish for the slate. We gave her a follow up call a few days later and she was happy. The price we gave the homeowner to strip, clean & seal was $700 for 900 sqfeet (dirt cheap), we moved the furniture around for free. I simply don’t understand?"

Mike came to give an estimate, and was very professional and thorough. About a week and a half later, Jeff and Tyler came to work their magic! They transformed our master bath into virtually a new room! We were told to wait a week before using our shower, which for us is not an issue because we have others. I will mention that I had a slight issue with the floor grout and they came immediately out to make it right. I am VERY happy with the finished result! I feel like I have a new master bath! I'm finding that I now am looking around the house to see what else I can have Marblelife do!

They did exactly what we wanted. We had 400 s/f of marble that had lost its luster after the previous owners had used the wrong type of cleaner on it. We also had a few tiles that had cracked where a floor beam had crowned a little bit underneath and they replaced them and they look great. Factor on about $1 per s/f to polish and seal marble, $1 per s/f to hone or refinish marble if it is scratched and about $40 a tile to cut out and replace a cracked or broken tile.
My only gripes would be:1. The hassle they give you when you go to use a credit card to pay... and quot;Oh, you will have to pay a surcharge to use a credit cardand quot;2. It would be nice to see better pricing on tile replacement when you have several tiles in a straight row that need to be replaced. I can understand $40 for a single tile because it is a lot of work to do just one or two. But when they are all in a row touching one another, it would be nicer to see a price break of maybe $40 for the first and $25 for each additional one that is touching the first one.3. If I had known how much white dust that would have been created when doing the tile replacement, I would have had a vacuum cleaner running near the guy when he was cutting the tile out to suck it up before it spread. I have now found the white dust all over the house.

"Thank you for the review, i have to explain the credit card issue. We ask the homeowner to split the 6% charge we have to pay when a credit card is used. The removal and replacement of broken tiles has 2 options, one being $40 per tile the second being T&M. The choice was made for $40 per tile. Thank you for you time."

"We are not sure why this report was posted? Our craftsman leave the office everyday with the intent to over whelm and amaze thier customers. Marblelife is expected to be number one in the profesionaism, responsiveness & quality of the work that we complete dailey. We recently tried to contact the member and went threw all of our 2011 records to assist in anything she may have needed, We did not recieve A responce from her or find any record of her contacting us after the completion date. Everything went great. They were very efficient and polite. There prices were very reasonable. I would recommend this company to anyone and would use them again. Overall, I was very happy with the project and they were a pleasure to work with.

I'm not sure if I would hire them again. They did an okay job, I guess they did a fine job but when they had to come back and fix a couple of problems that were done by them there was an issue. They should improve on doing it right the first time. They seem overpriced.

"Our Craftsman set out everyday to meet or exceed our customers expectations. Our Craftsman are paid by the hour and are not on commission, meaning they take there time to make sure everything is perfect. When the job is completed our Craftsman will get the owner or supervisor and walk the entire job with them to be sure its perfect. Marblelife follows up with the customer one week after the completion of the job to be sure our customers are happy. Once in a while we will here from a customer a piece of grout fell out our is cracked. We apologize and immediately get a Craftsman out there to correct the issue. Marblelife demands perfection from there Craftsman."

I got a quote from Jim, who showed up on time. He did a very good job of answering my questions and explaining the options for restoring the floors. We set a date to start, the 2 guys showed up and explained what they would be doing. Because I have 3 dogs I stayed and worked from home. Yes they are bonded and insured but the dogs can get destructive when they know a new person is in the home. The guys let me know when they were going to lunch (30 min) and when they were done for the day. I belive their names were Rick and Jeff. They were polite and worked all day long. At the end they explained how to keep up the floors and ask if I had any concerns or areas I saw that needed touch up. I would have them back or recommend them for your floor restroation. My floors went from matt finish to shiney.

They scheduled an estimate very soon after I called. I was pleased with the estimate and the description of the work. They honed the floor to remove the scratches and a stain, polished, and sealed it. It took two men about six hours. They took care to protect the walls. When they were done, one of them went over the entire floor with me to make sure I was satisfied and touched up any areas that I felt needed it. The floors had gotten very dull and now have a beautiful shine and they told me how to keep it that way. I was very pleased with their work and would definitely use them again for any other floors.

I called Jim about buffing out some orange juice stains on my marble foyer. He said it would cost about $50 and we made an appt. He showed up and said the job was super easy and had he had his kit with him he could've done it right there and then. He said the job would be $100. After he left I checked my notes and saw that he originally said $50. I called him back and set up a time and pointed out the confusion with the price. He called back and we agreed on $75 and a date. The date arrived and he called to cancel, saying that he has to plan my work alongside another job for cost effectiveness and that other job was moved. We made another date, and that one was cancelled as well. Then we made another date, and he called that morning from the Atlanta airport saying he was stuck there. He said he'd call when we got back in town and I never heard from him again. I have since hired another company that has displayed 100% professionalism, quoted me a great price that they stuck to, resealed another stone floor in my house, and is from now on the marble people I will turn to for all my stone care needs, whether very small or very large.

"I am sorry about the inconvienence. Most of the statement above is true.We have A $290 minumum charge. I was trying to save her money by scheduling her when we were in the area. I gave her the choice of us coming right out and her pay the $290 or wiating until we are in the neighborhood and we could do it for $100. Most of the time this process works out very good.This time it didn't. I guess we took to long to get out there. I do not understand the $50 quote. It does not make since for our company to have A employee drive A company van one hour away to do A one hour job for $50. We must of not been on the same page when we spoke on the phone. Jim detailed their steps and we felt very comfortable hiring the company. Their website also gave great information that they obviously knew their stuff. Was able to get the work done the day I requested. Jason arrived on time and worked very hard and was very focused on our project. Nearby areas were taped off. Everything was cleaned up afterward. The floor looks even better than the day it was installed. You can eat off this floor--it was scratched, had spots, finish was dull. Now it is so shiny again and gorgeous. I would use them again and for sure recommend them to you. They want to do the job right, they go for training, are real professionals and believe in doing their best.
