Description of Work: They trimmed back a tree in the front that was hanging over a newly planted tree. We wanted that out of the way. They also trimmed back a whole bunch of limbs out of a Birch tree in the back to get it away from the house.

Description of Work: Contracted to have my large ash tree trimmed up & all deadwood removed. They did an excellent job! They removed the deadwood, trimmed & were VERY efficient about cleaning up. They were careful of my plantings under the tree & moved things out of the way & replaced them when they were done. |In talking about one of my other trees, they agreed to do some additional trimming while they were there, for a reasonable additional fee. Very professional. I definitely recommend them.

Description of Work: They removed large bushes and sod on the south side of the house. |they mulched along the house and laid new sod. |Everything went as planned and agreed upon and in the time promised. the crew did a very good job with clean up

Description of Work: We purchased 9 cubic yards of dark brown mulch from Allen's and had them install the mulch. My husband and I had always installed mulch in our yard by ourselves but it took us several full days and had become a huge challenge for us. Allen's did the installation for approx $200 of our total cost. We felt if they did a good job it would be worth it to us. They called us in a few days to say the would be there the next day. They arrived on time the next day and after a few hours they were done. The mulch was well applied and they were very careful to put the mulch around our many plants and not on top of them. They also did a great job of cleaning up. No patches of mulch on the driveway , walkway or grass . We have since hired their arborist services to prune one of our larger trees

Description of Work: Allen's Tree Service removed 2 large Bradford Pear trees and ground the stumps for me. They sent a large enough crew to do the job in very short time. They worked well as a team and each man seemed to know exactly what to do. They thoroughly cleaned my driveway, the street, and my lawn of all debris when done. This is my only experience with Allen's but I can highly recommend them.

Description of Work: I won't say all that I would like to say. I'll start off by saying, if I could pay people NOT to use this company, I would. 5 months of dealing with this company. Gave a work date of 8 wks out-took 18 wks. And then, it wasn't completely done!!! I know this little review of mine, won't bother them. They are a successful company that has forgotten about the small job people. Which, that was how my job was described to me. Since my job wasn't a $3,000.00 or $4,000.00 job, I couldn't be given as much consideration as those jobs. Listed trees on job order that we hadn't even discussed. If I ever, have to have some tree work done again, I will go to West Monroe, LA and ask the Robertsons if I can borrow a couple of beavers to chop down my trees. Or, I will get out there with a butter knife if I have to. What a sorry excuse for a company. It's all about the $$$$ and not customer service!!!

Description of Work: They removed three large pine trees from our side yard including one that had been split by lightning. They used their man-lift to work in the tops of the trees and then were able to drop the trunks safely. I had made up my mind to use Allen's if their bid was competitive and was very pleased with their work. At the time they had a ~4 week backlog from 2013 summer storms.

Description of Work: Allen Tree service has been spraying a huge tulip tree in my front yard for several years. My beautiful tree has had bugs that "drip" black sooty looking goo on my underplantings. They are proactive, send me a contract for the service in late winter, and I am set up for the service at the appropriate time in the summer. What is really impressive- as usual, I signed my contract last year. But, my tree didn't have any bugs- and, without discussion, they did not spray it either. I attribute that to a professional company that does what it needs to, but not more just to make a buck.
