Hilltop Tree Service

We needed 3 trees that the city of Gladstone is making us too off due to being dead. I had him come out to do a bid and we were just talking and I explained the situation with my mom and breaking her pelvis and My mom is on a fixed income so he decided that he was going to do it for $850 which is a good price but that was with no haul off. I txt him on 8/4/2021 and ask him to set everything for 8/26/2021 and he set it on his calendar and he agreed. I had to get an extension for the city so they wouldn’t do it and raise my mom’s taxes. I txt him 10 days prior to the appointment and he said he would still be here. So then we had that huge storm and I txt him the Monday before and he said we are still on as long as the lift comes back in. When I ask him why he didn’t reserve he said he did but when someone takes it out if the job wasn’t finished they could keep it. So I was suppose to pay him $500 upfront for the lift. He said let me see if I can find a lift and on Thursday morning I txt him snd he said he was still looking! I told him when I reserved for him to come over I had until the Tuesday after labor day to have it done until! He said I am looking! I had KCPL out to drop the line and so I had to turn them away! I txt him this last Monday and no reply! Now my mom on a fixed income fearing that the county will have it done a put it in her taxes and raise her house pmt! So he just decided to leave us high snd dry and now have no back up plan. Or somebody that will help for that price! Very unprofessional in my opinion.

Had unprofessiinal workers peeing and spitting all over. Left roots in my yard. Has no insurance on his vehicles so thank god that truck with barely any brakes didnt hit my car. He was very loud and used profanity while reeking of alcohol. Was a terribleexperience for me and my neighbors.

Ron and his crew were able to remove a dead tree and trim every tree except for one large tree in my yard. The ground was too wet to get to the tree. Ron assurred me that he would return when the ground dried to trim the final tree. I called Ron on multple occasions to remind him of our agreement and he stated that he would return to complete the job. Ron has not returned my calls in the last two months. I paid Ron for the entire job when he completed all but the one tree. I would not recommend using this company for tree trimming or removal; they are not trustworthy.

I had called several tree service companies, but most did not even call me back when they found out I needed the service at Dearborn. Mr. Hill called me back the same day and went out the same day to give me an estimate. He gave me a reasonable estimate and I told him to go ahead. He was out two days later and finished in just a few hours. He did an excellent job and cleaned up after he was finished so that nothing was left behind. I was very impressed with his service and will use him in the future.

We had a huge windstorm come through and blew down a bunch of trees, including a huge double forked tree that destroyed part of the fence. We were searching for someone to do the work for us and Ron stopped by and asked us if he could do the work and gave us an estimate on the spot. They were able to start immediately and worked through the rest of the day. They were here for a total of about 6 hours and never really slowed down. They got all of the trees and branches cut down and trimmed off and hauled out. When they were done with the big stuff, they brought out the wheelbarrows and rakes to collect up all the small stuff too. Ron even volunteered to come by once the ground hardened up a bit more to pull out the stumps left from the big forked tree, he didn't do it the same day because the ground was soft from rain and he didn't want to tear up the yard. Ron is a nice fellow and his crew worked hard and were respectful.
