Real Estate Auctions
Absolutely a terrible experience. On or about 17 Dec 2016 we contracted Linda Musgrove tel. 636-578-5419 who is a LIAR & THIEF! and proprietor of Troy Auction Service which has proved to be a RIP OFF & SCAM! to assist us in auctioning many hundreds of belongings ranging from bedroom sets, office furniture, kitchen ware, tools etc, Too many things to list. However photos available and feel free to contact me for details. Steve Rauschelbach cell 636-497-5261. My wife, kids and I worked together for months in preparation for the sale of our home as we were downsizing as we are now "empty nesters". Linda Musgrove orchestrated the removal of our belonging by her family/staff with my family's willing assistance. We discussed the 70% us /30% them, commission split and cost of services ($300) and we were provided with a contract to confirm this verbal agreement. I will admit that I was not as thorough as I should have been and have been taken advantage of. Trusting her to do what she said she would. We live and work in a rural community where a persons word and a handshake usually still means something. I was mislead in part by the Christian cross and what appears to be a drop of the blood of Christ incorporated into her business logo. Since my experience I have met/talked with some of her other victims. It seems that unless you keep track of her she makes no effort to reach out to her victims of her scam to settle. One person told me that have received 3 checks after finally tracking her down. All 3 have bounced! A co- worker told me that her elderly grandfather was never provided any sort of contract or inventory to help him keep track of his consignment items and when he did finally find her the old gentleman was "paid" an insulting low amount for his 70% split. On or about 29 April 2017 she sent me a text informing me that all of our belongings had been sold and that our tickets and check was in the mail. And that is what she kept telling for months. "Check is in the mail." After my having to devote much time and energy attempting to settle I finally received an insulting low and unfair check and no tickets, along with a forged contract. She has falsified the contract that we signed in Dec 2016 by adding some $500 in unauthorized fees that we had not agreed to. On top the $300 she collected the day they started loading up our belongings. My signed original copy is exactly the same as the copy she sent me other that the extra $500 in bogus fees penciled in! I want to mention that back in Dec she agreed that we could meet to go over all the tickets and pick up a check but then said they changed their policy. I will not accept or cash the check that she sent me and doubt that I will ever be fairly compensated. I do want to warn others though. This experience has been an unbelievable nightmare scenario and I enough everyone to avoid the LIAR & THIEF Linda Musgrove and Troy Auction Center which is a RIP OFF & SCAM. I will continue to reach out through every means possible to stop her from continuing her criminal operation. I Steven B. Rauschelbach swear and affirm that the information above information is true. I am a bit behind the technical power curve however will attempt to upload at least some of the belongings asap she stole through her fraud. I listed $2500 as he Apprx cost of service however it is hard to say what the actual cost/loss is since I have not received the itemized tickets she said we would meet to go over. I doubt I ever will since I do not believe they exist because she never intended to pay us anything. You've been warned. p.s. I think I is worth mentioning we were not under any pressure to remove any of he belongings from our house. Our home buyer said we were welcome to leave everything in the house if we preferred just as it was. And Linda knew that. She was excited to haul off everything and kept at it for the better part of 2 days...
Response from Troy Auction Center
"This review was done by a MR [Member Name Removed] RAUSCHENBACH. Who has harassed and stalked me for over 3 months. Yes, we did take his stuff to be auctioned. It took almost 6 months to sell it all. It was mostly office stuff. He did have a bedroom set. We stored it, moved it to our new location and auctioned it the best that we could. WE worked very ho*** ** his auction. I did not charge him a commission. I only charged him 4 loading fee's and one Saturday Auction for $100.00 and we normally charge $400. His stuff only sold for $$690.00, He received a check for $190.00. Steve has bashed me on Facebook, Chamber of Commerce, Police and my business neighbors. He has stood on the street with a bright yellow shirt on with my name on it saying that I am a liar and thief. He has taken pictures of me and my little boy and wrote "I know where you are". He has taken pictures of my building. He stands on the street corner passing out flyers. He has been kicked off Walmart properties and my property as well. He has made himself a public nuisance. He has threw himself on the floor of my auction house flopping around. He has screamed at me, my staff, my customers and on the street. I have filed police reports and a restraining order. Plus, he demanded a check for $900 and an apology. Not sure where he got the $2500.00. I feel very sorry for him. He has attacked my staff and my family. We are a great auction service. We are honest and fair. We work hard for our customers. Give us a shot and you will see for yourself."
