jobs got scheduled separately (roof first, siding followed a couple weeks later) due to having to order siding materials.
roof job went well - crew showed up on time and finished in one day. replaced about 160 ft of old rotted roof plank. crew did an excellent job installing (hand nailed) and cleaning up - i found only 3 nails in the yard after they had done their cleanup job.
roof performs great and looks even better.
siding job also went well and took only one day. really makes a difference in the appearance of the home and performance of the roof system.
i would recommend that you invite this company to bid if you are considering a roofing job.
I would highly recommend Bone Dry Roofing.
Their price beat other bids, and the quality of work was excellent. Every single member of the staff was great.
This Company is top-notch.
Nice job.
First let me say they have been very nice people in every aspect. I don't like giving even slightly negative reviews to nice people, but quite frankly, nice doesn't keep my house dry.
They came and gave us an estimate. The initial estimate was for $550. Then, when they got on the roof to start working the notice wood rot. The worker stopped and said that they would need to get another estimate because the damage was more extensive than what he thought. I understand that, you can't always know what's going on underneath. About a week later the rep came out and looked at the room and gave us the new estimate of $2200 for all of the work that would need to be done. We told them to proceed. My husband also told them that we would we would be going out of town and we were told that would be fine, they would fix the roof on the Thursday or Friday that we were gone. We got back on Sunday night and the roof wasn't done. The worker did come back on Memorial day to finish the roof. In talking to him I learned that he had been sick and couldn't finish the first day he came out. He finished and everything looked great. A couple of days later our skylights started leaking. I called and e-mailed the company because I was concerned. The man came out to look at our skylight, he said he sealed everything again but he didn't see any reason for the leak. The next rain, our skylights started leaking again. The man doing the work had given me his cell phone number so I called him. He said it was probably a bad skylight and he would have to have someone come with the rep and look at the skylight. It took a little over a week for them to do that. I wouldn't have minded so much except it rained a lot and damage was done to our ceiling that was not there before. I guess I thought that they might have come out and covered the area with all the rain we were having if they knew it would take that long to get there. They came out and did work again, I wasn't home and I was left a note with the worker's cell number again. I was never told if the skylight was replaced or not, 3 weeks after the skylights had been "fixed". Yesterday I called the cell because of a non-water issue that was concerning. The man had told me that he had told my husband of that issue and that the skylight was not replaced but it was just resealed. I felt like they looked at my case as a case closed thing. Now I'm left with a ceiling with awful water damage that I'll have to pay to repair.
All in all they were very slow to respond to any issue after the contract was signed. I feel the professionalism was lacking because they did not seem concerned about the work was done. I'm also a little upset because they never even offered to look at the drywall or patch it.
My favorite moment of this was when I called the office. I was upset because of all the damage and lack of communication. I explained the situation to the woman on the phone. I told her I was sorry because I knew she wasn't the one doing the work and this was the first time she had heard my issue and she told me "that's ok, I get people calling to complain all the time."
I will definitely call them if I ever have roof issues!
We set a date for installation (about 4 weeks out) and were pleased to get a call that they could accomplish the installation two weeks early then planed.
Job site: they protected everything including our swimming pool, window, landscaping and even put tarps down in the driveway to protect against oil leaks from their truck. Much appreciated! They also combed the grass with rolling magnets to pick up nails or staples that might have been put there during the removal of the old roof.
Service: They showed up with a large crew and a supervisor when they said they would. All employees were wearing company shirts and polite. This is a fairly large roof (50 squares). They were in and out in one day! Impressive.
I would definitely recommend Bone Dry to a friend or neighbor. They performed as advertised.
Roofing can be a very dirty job, with lots of debris and things to clean up.. They did an excellent job of cleaning up things.
The roof and the new shutters look beautiful. We are very pleased.
"ThanK You very much for the kind words.. Ron Russelburg"
THEY ARE PROMPT, COURTEOUS & GET THE JOB DONE QUICKLY.
I WILL CERTAINLY HIRE AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.
Don't bother calling them if you live in one of the fastest growing cities in Missouri, in one of the biggest counties in MO.
"(Member name removed), Thank You for your feedback. I apologize for the inconvenience. However, we do not service Wentzville.. And it is on the Angie's List website.. I spoke with Lori in my office. And she states she did try to arrange a appointment for you anyways for next week. And you declined the appointment. I understand we also referred to some other potential roofers.. I hope they were able to assist in the timely matter you needed.. Have a great day.. Ron Russelburg. 314-922-8257"
repaired their roof due to age and/or storm damage. I asked Bone Dry
for an estimate, and after a thorough inspection (he actually went up on
the roof) was told that our roof was good for another 5 years or more
before needing to be replaced. He did find a very small area that could
be repaired, and gave me an estimate of $300 to fix it, because he said
that was their minimum charge, but that it really wasn't necessary. I
am not sure any other company would have been so honest.
