It went very well. The first thing I noticed that was great is that someone actually answered the phone! Competitors should take note. This is called customer service. This was especially surprising given that we had just had a tornado rip through the area a few weeks before I called and I had spent that time leaving messages for other companies and never getting a call back. So I was so surprised when Bone Dry Roofing, not only, answered the phone, but also scheduled an estimate visit within a few days. Ron was very thorough and factual. He pointed out things that were damaged and what exactly was required to fix it. Unlike another company, he wasn't trying to gouge the insurance company. He was honest and accurate. The roofers repaired the roof and put on a new one within 10 days and the siding repair shortly thereafter. The foreman kept us informed each step of the way. This is a very customer service oriented company that performs quality, reasonably priced work. Thanks to Ron, Richard and the rest of their crew.

did a full tear off and reroof. also replaced shingled system on dormer verticals with homewrap and vinyl siding.
jobs got scheduled separately (roof first, siding followed a couple weeks later) due to having to order siding materials.
roof job went well - crew showed up on time and finished in one day. replaced about 160 ft of old rotted roof plank. crew did an excellent job installing (hand nailed) and cleaning up - i found only 3 nails in the yard after they had done their cleanup job.
roof performs great and looks even better.
siding job also went well and took only one day. really makes a difference in the appearance of the home and performance of the roof system.
i would recommend that you invite this company to bid if you are considering a roofing job.

Ron Russelburg was very thorough & professional in giving us a bid for a new roof.  He alerted us to various matters that might have to be addressed during the job, such as replacing damaged plywood, and discussed how those would be dealt with, so there would be no surprises once the work started.  Ron gave us plenty of time to mull over our choice of shingle color.  He brought over several color samples & gave us locations where we could see finished roofs in the colors we were interested in.  On the day scheduled for the work, the crew arrived early, tore off the old roof and laid the new roof.  They were very diligent in protecting our doors & windows from any accidental damage, while they did their work.  Before replacing any damaged plywood, they discussed what they found with us, so we could approve any additional repairs.  The crew was very thorough in cleaning up all debris, especially old nails, before they left.  A supervisor was on site the whole day directing & overseeing the crew.  At the end of the day, we were very happy with the finished job & would highly recommend Bone Dry Roofing to anyone in need of roof repairs or a new roof.

The experience was good from the original call in the middle of a downpour to tarp my leaking roof at 5:00 on a Friday evening. Brian, the salesman, was incredibly nice and patient with my questions regarding insurance, etc. I didn't meet the work crew on the day of the job because they were running late due to an accident on the highway. But they did call to let me know that. The crew supervisor came back to my house a few weeks later when I had a question about re-attaching loose cables to my brick exterior. He re-attached them and was extremely nice about it.
I would highly recommend Bone Dry Roofing.

He said even thought their was some damage it was not enough to qualify for insurance claim.  Brian took time to explain what insurance adjusters will accept before they will pay to replace roof.  I was impressed with the time he took to explain things.  He was not in a hurry to go since their wasn't going to be any immediate business for his company.  When the time comes for roof replacement I definitely will call them.

The repair was done in a timely and professional manner.  Perhaps it's the Angie's List difference (we are new subscribers), but this is bar none the best experience I have ever had hiring a home contractor.  In any case, we are permanent members of Angie's list and will use Bone Dry again in the future.

The job went wonderful.  I have no complaints whatsoever.  I had checked with the BBB as well as other people that had used the company.  They were professional and cleaned up after themselves every day.  The salesman and workers were professional and very knowledgable.  They try to please the customer with anything that is asked of them.  I would refer them to anyone looking to have their roof worked on.

I have my brother to thank for referring me to this Company. Their kind of service and expertise was just what I was looking for.
Their price beat other bids, and the quality of work was excellent.  Every single member of the staff was great.
This Company is top-notch.

I needed about 30 shingles replaced due to storm damage (not enough for an insurance claim) and squirrels had chewed away at every vent seal on the roof. I picked Bone Dry roofing based on reviews from Angie's list and they didn't disappoint. Prompt, professional and quality work. Everything was done in about 3 hours and the color match of the new shingles are perfect.
Nice job.

I'm of split mind with this review and what I want to give them.  We have had a leak around our skylight since about the time we moved in.  The roof was new so I was concerned about the leak.  The original company refused to fix it for us.  So we found Bone Dry.
First let me say they have been very nice people in every aspect.  I don't like giving even slightly negative reviews to nice people, but quite frankly, nice doesn't keep my house dry.
They came and gave us an estimate.  The initial estimate was for $550.  Then, when they got on the roof to start working the notice wood rot. The worker stopped and said that they would need to get another estimate because the damage was more extensive than what he thought.  I understand that, you can't always know what's going on underneath.  About a week later the rep came out and looked at the room and gave us the new estimate of $2200 for all of the work that would need to be done.  We told them to proceed.  My husband also told them that we would we would be going out of town and we were told that would be fine, they would fix the roof on the Thursday or Friday that we were gone.  We got back on Sunday night and the roof wasn't done.  The worker did come back on Memorial day to finish the roof.  In talking to him I learned that he had been sick and couldn't finish the first day he came out.  He finished and everything looked great.  A couple of days later our skylights started leaking.  I called and e-mailed the company because I was concerned.  The man came out to look at our skylight, he said he sealed everything again but he didn't see any reason for the leak.  The next rain, our skylights started leaking again.  The man doing the work had given me his cell phone number so I called him.  He said it was probably a bad skylight and he would have to have someone come with the rep and look at the skylight.  It took a little over a week for them to do that.  I wouldn't have minded so much except it rained a lot and damage was done to our ceiling that was not there before.  I guess I thought that they might have come out and covered the area with all the rain we were having if they knew it would take that long to get there.  They came out and did work again, I wasn't home and I was left a note with the worker's cell number again.  I was never told if the skylight was replaced or not, 3 weeks after the skylights had been "fixed".  Yesterday I called the cell because of a non-water issue that was concerning.  The man had told me that he had told my husband of that issue and that the skylight was not replaced but it was just resealed.  I felt like they looked at my case as a case closed thing.  Now I'm left with a ceiling with awful water damage that I'll have to pay to repair.
All in all they were very slow to respond to any issue after the contract was signed.  I feel the professionalism was lacking because they did not seem concerned about the work was done.  I'm also a little upset because they never even offered to look at the drywall or patch it.
My favorite moment of this was when I called the office.  I was upset because of all the damage and lack of communication.  I explained the situation to the woman on the phone.  I told her I was sorry because I knew she wasn't the one doing the work and this was the first time she had heard my issue and she told me "that's ok, I get people calling to complain all the time."

Ron Russelburg was absolutely great! He helped us pick out the shingles. He also encouraged us to do a ridge vent, which is very important with new roof installation, and that was a great idea! The ridge vents weren't very expensive. We met with him back in November 2011. We figured with bad weather coming up we would have the work done the following March, which we did. My real estate agent came out and looked at the work as it was being done and also said they were doing an excellent job. Our agent also confirmed the ridge vents were a good idea. We were more than 1,000 miles away so we were a little hesitant at first, but again, our real estate agent assured us everything was going well. Ron did also call and confirm with us once everything was finished. That was a nice added bonus. He was very nice and has great follow through. They did a terrific job!

Brian was great. He told me what he thought the issues were. It turned out to be mostly tuckpointing and crown work on my chimney. The St. Louis office of Bone Dry doesn't handle masonry work, so he isn't able to make the fix. However, he gave me recommendations of who I could call to get it done. He was very thorough and even took pictures while he was on the roof, so I could see the problems in detail. Very nice and friendly. He also told me about some flashing work that I could have done, but was honest in that it wouldn't fix the problem I was having. I appreciate the honesty, as most companies would just tell you to have the work done so that they could make some money.
I will definitely call them if I ever have roof issues!

Because of storm damage (and presumably their good reputation) they've been very busy, but once a date was scheduled they showed up on time and got the job done much faster than I'd have expected.  Our roof looks great, doesn't leak and cost less than I expected.

I received four bids for this work. All were close in price plus or minus 5%. I chose Bone Dry because of the information received from their brochures and the recommendation from Angie?s list. The sales person was knowledgeable and low pressure. He took time to show me how they installed the new roof shingles. He recommended a particular tile for our application and explained why. He was not opposed to using another manufactures tile, but definitely had a preference for the tile he used. He also made a point to tell me that they hand nailed the shingles. Both of these things required some research on the internet on our part. As it turns out, most roofing contractors seem to agree that hand nailing the shingles produces better installation quality. It is slower, but fewer problems arise from damage to tiles during the installation.  Also the research on the tile (Certainteed) was also one of the favorites of other contractors.
We set a date for installation (about 4 weeks out) and were pleased to get a call that they could accomplish the installation two weeks early then planed.
Job site: they protected everything including our swimming pool, window, landscaping and even put tarps down in the driveway to protect against oil leaks from their truck. Much appreciated! They also combed the grass with rolling magnets to pick up nails or staples that might have been put there during the removal of the old roof.
Service: They showed up with a large crew and a supervisor when they said they would. All employees were wearing company shirts and polite. This is a fairly large roof (50 squares). They were in and out in one day! Impressive.
I would definitely recommend Bone Dry to a friend or neighbor. They performed as advertised.

It went very well.  They came with a crew of 10 plus the supervisor.  Completed a rather large roof project in one day.  One very long day for them.
Roofing can be a very dirty job, with lots of debris and things to clean up..  They did an excellent job of cleaning up things.
The roof and the new shutters look beautiful.  We are very pleased.

THEY HAVE REPAIRED A FEW SPOTS ON TWO ROOFS I OWN.  REPLACED CHEWED LEAD PIPE VENTS, REMOVED SKYLIGHT & REPLACED WATER DAMAGED WOOD BELOW.  THEY HAVE INSPECTED MY ROOF AFTER A STRONG RAIN/WIND STORM AND SHOWED THE DAMAGE WITH THEIR CAMERA PHONES.
THEY ARE PROMPT, COURTEOUS & GET THE JOB DONE QUICKLY.
I WILL CERTAINLY HIRE AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.

Called about a leak in my roof.  The lady on the phone was nice but said that they don't service Wentzville, MO. anymore.
Don't bother calling them if you live in one of the fastest growing cities in Missouri, in one of the biggest counties in MO.

Response from Bone Dry Roofing Inc - St Louis
"(Member name removed), Thank You for your feedback. I apologize for the inconvenience. However, we do not service Wentzville.. And it is on the Angie's List website.. I spoke with Lori in my office. And she states she did try to arrange a appointment for you anyways for next week. And you declined the appointment. I understand we also referred to some other potential roofers.. I hope they were able to assist in the timely matter you needed.. Have a great day.. Ron Russelburg. 314-922-8257"

They arrived on time early in the morning, and got right to work. Set up drop cloths to protect parts of the house. I was at work while they did the job, but it took only one day, and they were  finished when I got home. Cleaned up after.

Most neighbors in the area with houses of the same age have replaced or
repaired their roof due to age and/or storm damage.  I asked Bone Dry
for an estimate, and after a thorough inspection (he actually went up on
the roof) was told that our roof was good for another 5 years or more
before needing to be replaced.  He did find a very small area that could
be repaired, and gave me an estimate of $300 to fix it, because he said
that was their minimum charge, but that it really wasn't necessary.  I
am not sure any other company would have been so honest.

Very appreciative that they were able to quickly use a "warm" spell to get my roof installed. We had already agreed to the work, just waiting on the right weather. Bryan called, let me know they had a crew ready, let me know when and for how long. Eveything went as I was told. And the work looks great.
