Keplinger Construction

About us

I am Jared Keplinger and I began Keplinger Construction in May of 2004. Since then we have remodeled many wonderful homes and businesses in St. Louis. St. Louis is the best large small-town around. I am from the small town of Marquette, Michigan and grew up a few blocks from Lake Superior. With five brothers and six sisters, I grew up in a loving family, and today, my wife and I have four children. Like you, I want to provide for my family a steady livelihood and also a nurturing environment. This is why I started Keplinger Construction. After working in the construction industry for years, I learned to do everything from rough framing to finished cabinetry. I saw what fine carpentry can do to turn a house into a home and desired to provide quality workmanship for others to enjoy. I believe that the home nurtures the family. This is why our motto is “by the work, one knows the workman.” If you choose Keplinger Construction, I pledge to relate to you with integrity, address you with kindness, be fair in my cost estimates, and provide you with an excellent product.

I hired Jared to complete a rehab on a 2 family flat in 2013-2014. There were many problems with the job that I don't want to rehash. However about 1.5-2 months ago we had a big windstorm and the flat roof on that building came up. A huge chunk of the back part of the roof was folded over. Now I have a claim with my ins Co and they are covering the damage however I found out the roof work was very shoddy and I really need a new roof, which I can't afford. The company Jared hired to replace the roof has gone out of business and I had a year guarantee with Jared. So I'm just out of luck. A roof should last longer than 3 years. And if a contractor hires a horrible roofer he should admit it and help the homeowner regardless. It's bad business not to. I'm not asking for Jared to replace the roof entirety himself. But an admission of a bad job on his part and some assistance would be the right thing for him to do. I own several rental properties in Carondelet. I provide quality, well-maintained housing for my tenants. I take pride in my neighborhood and my rental properties. I even created a job for someone and provide work for people here on the neighborhood. But people like Jared Keplinger have no qualms about taking advantage of people like me.
