About us
We ask our customers not to leave reviews. We take the security business seriously, and do not wish for our customers to expose themselves publicly. Frank Zykan has been in the safe and vault business since 1990. His father helped him purchase his first safe from the Hackmann Lumber Company located in St. Charles, Missouri. The safe was used to store a growing coin collection, and his fascination with safes grew from that day. Frank Zykan Safe & Vault, LLC is the only company in St. Charles County that specializes in the specific area of locksmithing that involves safes and vaults. Whether the job involves moving a safe, routine maintenance, or an emergency opening, we are always ready to meet your needs. From our humble beginnings we have grown, and are now offering our products and expertise throughout all 50 states.

"[Member Name Removed] tends to exaggerate a bit. He actually paid us $30,800 to restore a vault door that he then had shipped to Africa. They shipped the door themselves, picking it up in November of 2017. He contacted us in May of 2018 to report damage. The damage was clearly a result of mishandling while in their possession. He reported that he did not insure the door and demanded that we correct the damage at our expense. It was only when he threatened to sue us that we declined to assist any further. Good thing we keep all of the photos (including the door prior to shipping) and e-mails. We have restored, sold, and shipped many doors without any of these issues. It is unfortunate that Mr. [Member Name Removed]'s door arrived damaged, but that has nothing to do with us. It is even more unfortunate that he went against our advice and failed to insure it prior to having it picked up."
