The man standing next to me was told "we don't charge you to replace the lights, we only charge you for the lights themselves" so I was encouraged and thought it wouldn't cost me very much. When I got the word that I owed $42 I almost fell over! I don't think I was there more than 20 minutes, tops. I feel like they charged me so much because I walked in and asked for help, and maybe because a woman wouldn't know any better. Anyway, I am not encouraged to return. For anything.

I had an appointment for a car inspection. They were fast and their waiting area is really nice.

They give impressive service and I know the job is done right every time! I've been taking my cars to ricks for the past 15 years. I haven't found any shop that does a better job!

The service was terrible. They found oil leaks on my vehicle that were never there before I took it in, and they charged way more than what the estimate was. Before I took it in, there was one spot on my driveway from a leak. When I got it back, there were new spots in different locations.

There was several issues the car had and was going to cost over $2,000 to fix it right. I didn't get the car. They were honest and up front with me. They saved me money, a lot of money.

I have used Ricks for some time now. I take my cars that are not covered under warranty to them. I've used them for years. My last service with them was to replace a timing belt in a Hyundai and they did a great job. Much cheaper than quoted by Reliable Imports. I just scheduled to have a timing belt and water pump replaced on my 2004 Toyota Highlander. They have always been very professional, quick, and reasonably priced. They are not the cheapest, but they do good work for a fair price.

Absolutely wasted $115. Never again will ask them to tell me what the engine check light is telling.

Found another local repair shop across the street that injected die to locate the leak, repaired the leaking seal, and refilled system after drying it for roughly the same price ($120) as Ricks was charging ($100) to diagnose it.

I took my BMW X5 to Ricks Automotive after I had a set of tires installed at Sears. I was told by Sears after they installed the tires that they could not do the alignment because I needed at least 1 new ball joint. I did not authorize the service because I wanted another opinion on the work. I just purchased the vehicle two months ago and after a thorough inspection nothing was listed during the inspection as needing ball joints. When I arrived at Ricks Automotive I was greeted by friendly employees, and they got my vehicle in after a short wait. I enjoyed their customer waiting room that was stocked with designer coffee and a big screen TV. The people at Ricks did a complete inspection of my cars suspension, and all driving components and found nothing wrong with the ball joints or anything else that would prevent them from completing the alignment. The work was performed, and I was on my way in about 90 minutes. The best part (other then my car not needing ball joints) was that they only charged me only $76.00 for the alignment after they applied my wifes' employer discount. I believe that I have found a new home for all of my vehicles repair needs in the future, and from now on I will be going to Ricks first when any of my vehicles need tires. I would highly recommend Ricks Automotive to anyone to holds an honest opinion and professionalism as important.

They got me in immediately and got everything done within a day and half even without any appointment. The service was quick and it was done well.

Very professional, courteous and informative. I already knew what repairs had to be done but did not have the expertise to do them myself. What they did was exactly what I had anticipated and their costs were in line with what I had estimated. The car runs perfectly now and I am very happy with the service Ricks Automotive provided.

I took it to another mechanic, where they found out that I had one fouled spark plug. They changed my plugs, and now I have no engine noise. So I paid Ricks $150 to tell me I needed a new $7000 engine from them. When all I needed was a new set of spark plugs. Needless to say, I would never use them again.

This is a turning point when I decided to seek a different mechanic - just cannot afford Rick's prices. I am now very happy at Complete Automotive on Kearney St. - inexpensive and competent!

Rick's Automotive Inc services our cars on a regular basis. They provide everything. They will pick you up, they will do anything to the car. They don't tell you to fix things when you don't need it. They are very honest. People can expect prompt, courteous service. Someone goes there, they are right there on the spot. They are very good, very professional, they are the best in this area. I would say that their prices are competitive with anybody who does that quality of work.

I was able to drop off my car whenever and they offered a service to drop and pick you up which is awesome. I thought I needed new breaks and they checked everything out and said right now I don't. I could have ended up putting new breaks on and having the bill be a lot more. They are really honest and prompt when answering questions or checking on my vehicle.

This experience went exceptionally well. Rick's apparently has access to a variety of tire brands, and provided 3-recommendations suitable for my car for me to choose from at competitive prices. I set up an appointment, changing my mind a couple of times on the tires I wanted prior to having them installed; however, the sales representative was accommodating and professional. They honored the estimate to the penny. Also, I had previously struggled with some intermittent vibration issues at highway speed ; but after this tire purchase and alignment, the overall improvement in vehicle's handling and smoothness was exceptional. My decision to purchase tires from them was based on prior experience with them regarding vehicle maintenance and repairs; and based on tires I had purchased from them for my 4-wheel drive truck a couple of years ago. Rick's has continued to consistently provide great quality service ever since I began taking my vehicles there several years ago; and this was no exception.

I enjoy maintaining my own cars, but I also realize there are services that need to be completed periodically by a well equipped facility. During the inspection, I think it's worthy to note that Rick's did not identify any work that I had recently completed, as needing attention; nor had I mentioned I had completed this work. I really didn't realize this until I reviewed the invoice after arriving home. During this visit, Rick's provided thorough discussion and accurate cost estimates for recommended service work. I had all recommended work completed. When I picked up my car, and before paying my bill, they reviewed the invoice with me; and described all completed work that was listed to ensure all my questions were fully answered. I have used this business for the past several years, and have found them to be skillful, trustworthy and professional. I've never had to come back for unresolved issues.

They are definitely the highest price in town. Their quality is good but I don't know if it justifies being so high priced. I know the guys over there and I like them very much but I know I will pay the same as what I would pay at a dealer.

I won a gift certificate for a free oil change at Ricks Automotive. I called to set an appointment, they had openings the next day. When I arrived they offered me to wait in a break room with a TV or could sit in the lobby. They were curtious, and advised me that my back tires would need to be changed soon, before winter. I agreed, they did not pressure me to buy from them. Just was a curtious reminder.
