I pay over 100//month for their highest speed of internet yet its still slower than the 10mgp internet I've had from other companies. The internet goes out all the time- is unreliable and inconsistent. Cable America's customer service is also horrible so if you have an issue, plan on getting treated poorly and waiting months to get it fixed (but don't worry, they'll still charge you full price.)
Description of Work: With almost no other options i signed up for cable america when i moved in a few years ago. after 2 months of my cable being out and Cable America technicians not showing up (even though I was still paying for it) I decided to change my plan and only pay for internet.

Two days after reporting the outage (reported on a Sunday) service was finally restored (restored on Tuesday). Phone calls into the internet/television service department were answered, but no technicians could be reached to obtain a status of the repair work. No follow-up calls were made to verify if service had been restored, and there were also no visits by technicians to verify that service had been restored.

We haven't been happy with them. It goes out a lot and it slows us down a lot. Frequently, we can't load anything. We plain on changing providers.

Service was ok. Very pricey. Customer service leaves a little to be desired. Upon termination of our services we were told we would be refunded the money that was over for the billing cycle. When a month later that have not happened I called. I was informed that they don't issue refunds. I questioned it further. I was then told that there was a $25 disconnection fee, but my $11 refund would call it even and would not be billed further. Very shadey business practices and maybe even illegal.

The service tech showed up on time to install cable. First he asks if I own or rent. When I say rent he informs me that he cannot preform the service's because he need a letter from the owner, which I understand but why couldnt anyone inform us of that in advance instead of on the spot. Then when I offer for him to wait in my driveway while I run down the road and get a letter he says no he has other jobs and people to service he cant just wait in the driveway. He asked me if I wanted he could come back when he had an opening over the next week but I refused. I am pretty busy I just dont have time to sit around day after day and wait for an opening plus I needed the internet to start my online classes. All in all the picture is displayed on my HDflatscreen Vizio TV and its grainey and poor quality. Please trust me when I say, its all around poor quality =( Thank god we were able to get a month to month because as soon as we find better were going for it. In conclusion we have a grainey picture, a giant black cord running across the center of our living room floor (he didnt even hide it or anything) but on a good note....the internet is fast.
Description of Work: Install Cable and cable internet. (we allready have a pre-existing line at that and he still couldnt figure it out)
