"I am so sorry you feel frustrated. The stipulations added to the contract were due to other work you had done on your home between the time we did the bid [Member Information Removed] when it was scheduled. You had custom copper work right by the chimney added [Member Information Removed] a brand new slate roof installed. Those are very pricy improvements to a home [Member Information Removed] my only stipulation was that if you still wanted the work done on your chimney, I could not be responsible for the new improvements. We would be as careful as possible but you were asking us to get on top of a brand new slate roof to do our work. The tiles are easy to crack if you are doing major construction on top of them [Member Information Removed] not cheap to replace. I am sorry it has been hard for you to understand. Had we known you were getting this work done, we would have made sure you knew to schedule that after we did our work or we could not be responsible for any damages that could possibly occur. It really just doesn't make sense to do EXTREMELY costly repairs before you do your tuckpointing. We haven't been in business for 30 years, doing 1,000 jobs a year by being unethical. I am disappointed that you feel this way. If you had accepted the responsibility for the new improvements, your job would be done."

I am sorry you felt I was unprofessional when calling about scheduling last minute. Since you all had requested many updates on when the job would be done, we thought you would be pleased we were able to fit it in. They wouldn't have needed any help with the patio furniture from him. I do admit, I did feel it was urgent he gave me an answer if it was okay or not because we would move on to another job it he did not want them there. Since the work is all outside, I figured it was kind of a yes or no answer that wouldn't need too much contemplation. We do thank you for working with us.
