John Mirelli was very nice, showed up in a timely manner to make a bid, and completed the job in a reasonable amount of time. His bid was higher than some other bids that I received, but I was pleased with the job he did.

They came out the same day that I called. They took care of me, they did the work before they said they could.

Mr. Mirelli was very accommodating and went out of his way to work in a small job. He himself came to the site and performed most of the work. He was efficient, courteous, and professional.

Mr. Mirelli came by the day after we called him. He was extremely professional and gave us a fair bid. We only chose another contractor because he had done work with us in the past but will definitely consider Mr. Mirelli for jobs in the future.

John and his crew were punctual, friendly, thorough and very professional. Everything was done as promised. They even threw in a free waterproofing of one of my other chimneys. This is very rare in the field of tuck pointing.

Excellent service from the original phone call through the completion of the job. Calls returned promptly. Estimate performed in a timely fashion. I had to have the repairs done ASAP and they worked me into their schedule. When the job took less time than they anticipated, they did some additional needed repairs and tuckpointing at no additional charge. Crew was very pleasant and unusually neat. Clean up was excellent and job looks great. Based on my experience, my realtor has added Mirelli Tuckpointing to his list of masons.

John came to give us the estimate on schedule as promised. John and Jose came to work on short notice. However, they were polite and got the work done in several hours.

They were very professional. They were on time and worked diligently all day. They did their best to clean up their work, but this is a very messy job! I was very nervous about how much grit and sand would get inside my house, and somehow they managed to keep it to a minimum. I am very pleased with the quality of the work they did. It looks fantastic.

The owner, John Mirelli, was very nice & responsive. They gave a bid the day after I called and then completed the job the day after I decided to go with them. They did a good job and cleaned up afterwards. I only came home to find a sign in my front yard and a clean, well tuckpointed front porch. This was a good experience.

This job was a textbook example of exceptional customer service. I received a written quote within 3 days of my first call, and after accepting the contract, the work was scheduled and completed within 48 hours. The owner did the work himself, and the workmanship appears excellent. I'm sure there are other tuckpointers that cost less, but the overall experience, e.g., customer service & quality, makes these guys a great value.

Worker arrived on time, and did an excellent job of repairing the masonry, so that it looks much better aesthetically. He took away the concrete which had fallen out, and we are very satisfied with the company.

My house is 40 years old with a courtyard wall. The chimney and the courtyard wall were especially full of loose mortar. John Mirelli came the day after I called and gave me a reasonable estimate. His crew came the next working day after I agreed to the work. The work was excellent and clean up was very neat. John called the next day to ask if all the work was satisfactory because I was at work when they did the work. I recommended him to my neighbor and she was equally satisfied.

Service was excellent. Work was completed much quicker than expected, and the finished product was great.

IMPRESSED-PROFESSIONAL-THOROUGH-WELL MANNERED-TIMELY-GREAT CLEAN UP-PERFECT CAULK & MORTAR COLOR MATCH. A bad experience with a previous contractor brought me to Angie's List and Mirelli Tuckpointing. John provided a thorough and reasonably priced bid last November and did not require a down payment. (An invoice would be mailed on completion.) As soon as weather permitted, they were on the job. A crew of 2 plus a supervisor arrived early and stayed until completed. They were prompt in returning to do 2 overlooked areas. I was impressed when I asked about some additional (not bid) areas ''inside'' in the basement. John said they would be taken care of without additional cost and they were. My house looks like new. The mortar was matched so well that you can't even tell where the settlement cracks were. They did a marvelous job cleaning up.

We recently converted a gas fireplace back to a wood burning fireplace. At the time we had a new fireplace lock-top damper installed by another company. After the new damper was installed and we began to use our fireplace, we noticed that our chimney was very wet on the inside after a rain. After having the mortar work done there is still a tiny bit of moisture after a rain, but I am waiting on them to seal it in the next few weeks. The owner did the estimate and was very pleasant. The actual workers were very courteous and careful. They did a great job of cleanup. I would hire them again.

I FOUND WORKING WITH MIRELLI TUCKPOINTING TO BE A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. I RECEIVED A QUICK ESTIMATE, AND A BID COMPARABLE TO 2 OTHER COMPANIES. ONCE I DECIDED TO GO WITH MIRELLI, THEY MADE AN APPOINTMENT, AND ARRIVED ON TIME, AND FINISHED QUICKLY. THEY LEFT THE WORK AREA NEAT, AND CLEAN, AND EVEN PATCHED A COUPLE SPOTS THAT I DIDN'T ASK THEM TO DO.

SHOWED UP AS SCHEDULED FOR BID AND TO DO JOB.

JOHN MIRELLI PERSONALLY VISITED ME ON SITE, REVIEWED THE SITUATION, AND DESCRIBED THE REPAIRS NEEDED. THIS WAS FOLLOWED WITH A BID DETAILING THE WORK TO BE DONE. A SKILLED CREW OF WORKERS PERFORMED WORK IN A COMPETENT AND THOROUGH MANNER WITHIN 2 WEEKS AFTER BID ACCEPTANCE. CREW CLEANED UP ROOF AND SITE TO MY SATISFACTION. EVEN THOUGH MIRELLI'S BID WAS NOT THE LOWEST PRICE, IT WAS THE MOST PROFESSIONAL AND I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND THE FIRM TO ANYONE ELSE.

Original Review: THEY DID GOOD WORK [we now understand that this was not true.] HOWEVER, TO BE TRULY PROFESSIONAL AND TOP NOTCH, THEY REALLY NEED TO WORK ON COMMUNICATION AND RELIABILITY. THEY DIDN'T RETURN PHONE CALLS ALL THAT WELL AND TWICE, WHEN HEAT PROHIBITED THEM FROM DOING THE WORK, THEY DIDN'T BOTHER TO CALL TO TELL US THEY WEREN'T COMING AND WHEN THEY WOULD RESCHEDULE. WE HAD TO CALL THEM EACH TIME, EVEN AFTER THEY PROMISED THEY WOULD KEEP IN TOUCH. THAT'S WHY THEY GET ''D: FOR RESPONSIVENESS AND PUNCTUALITY, AND ''C'' FOR PROFESSIONALISM.
