Outstanding job all the way around. When I originally called Ken on a Saturday hoping to leave just a voicemail, he returned my phone call in 15 minutes and came over and gave me an estimate on Monday. He and his crew arrived on time and were finished in 2 hours. I've never seen workers work so hard as Ken's two guys. No messing around. They went to work right away and worked unbelievably hard removing the tree and cleaning up, yet working safely.

Work took two days. Ken and his crew of four showed up and worked like demons. Cleaned as they worked. Polite and professional; even smiled and waved at the dog. :-) Ken kept following up with me to let me know how things were going and encouraging me to ask questions. Backyard is tiny, fenced, and the trees were close to house so Ken and his team had to be super careful. I could not be any happier with Ken's Affordable Tree Service. Highly, highly recommend!!!

Perfectly. It all went perfectly. He responded to my request almost immediately and came out the next day to bid. Within a matter of days, he was back with his crew and within 20 minutes, the trees were gone and the site was cleaned.

He was outstanding! Even my neighbors noticed the quality of the work that he was doing. He is a very hospitable person and really looks after his crew. He has actually done work for me several times and I have always been happy.

Ken, the owner, promptly came to my home to provide an estimate which I felt was very reasonable. He supervised his crew during the work and consulted me during the job to make sure I was satisfied.

Let me start by saying I have been contacting providers of this service literally for three months now. I try, I leave messages, after 2 or 3 attempts, I GIVE UP, and move on to the next provider on the list. Ken was the first one that actually returned my phone call. We set up an appointment to review what I needed done. He arrived exactly on time. He came out personally to evaluate the job and we agreed upon a price for the work. They took care of everything while I was at work yesterday. They did a terrific job. They trimmed everything as we discussed. There was (surprisingly I thought!) not a leaf or any branch debris remaining at all when I got home and evaluated the results. I was very impressed and pleased with the work, and will be holding on to this contact for future work. I was very pleased and would highly recommend this service for price and quality of the work performed.

Owner himself showed up at 7:55 for 8 o clock appointment........they setup and away they went........owner remained on site to answer ant questions i might have had........his crew was very polite and very professional......took them 2 and 1/2 hours to remove everything......they cleaned up as they went and when they were done ,other than the tree being gone,you couldn't even tell they were there....very quick,clean and professional......will recommend them to anybody and everybody

Ken and his crew are the best! I spent a few months getting 7 bids to have 2 trees and stumps removed. When I called Ken, he came out that day to give me a bid. He also went through the process of removing the trees and stumps step by step. He answered every question of mine in detail, showed me pictures of his equipment, and reassured me that he works alongside his crew during the entire job. I got tired of the other company?s contact people telling me that the crews ?know how to do the job and what they are doing,? but could never tell me their process of removing a tree. He also encouraged me to contact him for any questions, and he was never pushy or arrogant. Ken and his crew arrived right on time to start the job. He kept me updated during the entire day and showed me their progress. The crew was very precise and efficient when taking down the trees. I looked in the back yard when they started taking down a tree and within minutes the whole tree had been cut down. They also took plenty of time to make sure that everything was cleaned up extremely well. Every stick and leaf was picked up. It meant a lot to me that Ken took the time to explain everything to me step by step and reassured me that no question was stupid. I have the highest respect for individuals who work alongside their crew. I was very grateful that I chose Ken and his crew to cut down my trees. I will definitely use them in the future.

Ken is the best! He is such a nice guy and professional. We were immediately at ease knowing that his crew would take care of us. Because of weather, our tree removal had to be postponed several times, but Ken always made sure to touch base with us and give us the update. The crew took care not to totally rip up our yard in the process. Tree removal is never cheap, but as far as tree removal services go, Ken's services are affordable, just like the name of his company implies.

We had a delay in getting in touch with Ken to schedule the work; he said he got backed up because of the April rains. We had previously met with him in November when he walked around our yard with us and talked about our trees and we discussed what was needed. He came across as honest and not recommending any more work than really needed. When we spoke with him in late April he remembered our yard and we got the work scheduled for 5/6/15. Ken came with a team of 3 others. They used a crane on our large cottonwood which is close to the street. They worked quickly and efficiently with Ken periodically talking to me to make sure I was okay with the progress. We have a garden under the tree and my neighbor has flowers directly on the side and I asked if they would do their best to avoid harming the plants. Not one plant was damaged. The price was very affordable, staying true to Ken's company name. These are two large trees they were trimming. They cleaned up as they worked and left few clues that they had been there except for more light in our yard. They were all cordial and I appreciated their work.

He was quite busy at that time and I am yet to call him back. I was actually impressed by the fact that he was actually saying that probably we needed to do less than what I thought that we needed to do. He said that we just need some trimming.

I called Ken from work and asked for an estimate on removing a large Bradford Pear tree from my property. Ken said that he and his crew were doing a job just up the road and would swing by and give it a look. He called me back a while later and gave me a price for the job including removing the stump. He said that they were available to do the job immediately. The price he quoted me for the job seemed more than fair and I accepted. When I arrived home from work that very same day, the tree was gone, the stump had been ground, and the yard was immaculate. No debris to be found. I couldn't have been more pleased. Great service, great price and very easy to work with. I will definitely call Ken again for any future tree service.

If you need any tree work done, I highly recommend this company!! Ken, the owner, comes out and gives you an estimate himself. When I called he was there the same day to give me an estimate. We wanted a huge 60 year old pine tree taken out of our backyard and his price was very fair compared to other estimates we had received. His crew of men were punctual, professional and very hard working. The place was clean as a whistle when they left and they even helped me put a section of my privacy fence back where the tree once stood. Ken even came by to check on things while they were taking the tree down and asked me if everything was to my satisfaction. This is an AWESOME company and if you need a tree taken down or any tree work done ...... call them. You will not be disappointed!!!

We?re very pleased with our experience with Ken?s Affordable Tree Service. We talked through the options to trim, cut, and remove several trees, including an extremely large oak. Ken and his crew were prompt, efficient, thorough, and considerate. We will call upon Ken again.

Ken's employees arrived on time and had the job done by 2:00 p.m. They were very protective of my yeard by laying down large mats to protect the grass. After the tree was down Ken's crew raked up the chippings from the trunk and cleaned up that area of the yard.I would definately recommend Ken's Tree Service to anyone in need of tree troval and I will use them again when the time comes. Ken was great to work with. The job was done when he said he would do it. He arrived with a crew of about 6 men. They had all the equipment they needed and completed the job quickly. Everything was cleaned up, all branches removed and raked up. All the workers were pleasant and professional. Ken stayed with his crew the entire time. They even did a few extra things for me at no charge. They made sure that I was totally satisfied before leaving. Best tree service I have ever used and I have used many. I will definitely use them every time I need tree work.

Several companies came by to give me a bid. I knew right away that I wanted to work with Ken, the owner. Ken does the bidding and is on every job site. He was super responsive, he was firm and decisive yet listened intently and wanted to make me happy, he is personable, and overall a great guy. He came when he said he would come, cleaned up everything he said he would clean, and was careful keep his work trucks out of my neighbors way. There was a sapling close to the work spot. Are you ready for this? He knew it was a sentimental little tree and he dug it out to move it for me. Talk about customer service! You would be crazy not to hire this company.

I called this tree service during previous week to schedule a free estimate. Mr. Beaty called and made appointment a couple of days later. He came when he said he would. I walked him through the yard to see what I wanted done re work on 7 trees in the yard. I gave my requests and he also made suggestions as we walked through the large yard. For the amount of work entailed, I though his estimate to be fair. I also told him I was an Angie's List member and his "page" showed 10% disc. for members. He said yes, and his estimate included such. I said ok, so we set up date for 9/9/14. Mr. Beaty and crew of 3 came when expected, and got right to work. I stayed in the background and Mr. Beaty and I discussed what men were doing - he asked me if looked ok, as work went along with each of the 7 trees. He even suggested extra trimming here and there, to make each tree look even better than had visualized when doing the estimate. As the crew went along, they dragged large branches out to truck, and later came back to clean up the smaller tree debris on the ground. I am pleased with the whole project. Hope I don't need their service for a long time, unless would have a very severe storm. THIS PARTICULAR TREE SERVICE WAS FEATURED IN YOUR "Pages of Happiness" -- MAYBE IN 2012 OR 2013. (Re: St. Louis, MO area) Can't remember exactly when.

Ken and crew removed 6 medium size Bradford pear trees from my backyard, 5 of which were up in the electric lines. I called Ken's number on july 21, he got back to me within the hour. scheduled an appt. for estimate next day, showed up on time. gave me written estimate, scheduled job for july 31, 830am. showed up on time with crew. job took about two and a half hours. crew worked hard and non-stop until done. ground out stumps too. cleaned up well, also cleaned up neighbors yard where some small limbs and leaves had fallen. even more evidence of excellent service: my next door neighbor had a large dead limb in the tree in his front yard. Ken got the bucket truck up there and trimmed it out for him at no charge. it was well worth the money and I would use them again.

Amazing team of guys completed the work in less that 4 hours. Cleanup was awesome. We needed a couple of small trees removed at the last minute, they were very responsive. We would highly recommend them to anyone else.

Ken came out at the appointed date and actually was early when meeting with us. He quickly evaluated what needed to be done, listened to our concerns and addressed them. Before he left, we had a bid and there was no pressure or gimmicks on the price. When we called to let Ken know we wanted him to do the job, he went over the details with us (over the phone). Within a week, Ken set up a date and got the job done. We had concerns about our French drain getting crushed and he stayed off of it. The equipment he used hardly made any impressions in the grass and they cleaned up the area when finished. We would highly recommend Ken.

From the initial contact to the providing of the service, Ken and his team were the right ones for the job. While we received three comparable bids for the service in price and expectation, Ken followed up immediately sending proof of insurance and then again the following day when his crew would be in the neighborhood and able to knock the job out that day, weeks in advance of the others we contacted. When they got here, they let me know they were getting started and within about twenty minutes their crew had the trees down and chipped and were ready to start on the de-stumping. Because of the proximity to our neighbors yard and the fact that the roots run into the neighbors' very well-manicured lawn. At my request, they de-stumped only the portion in our yard, leaving the neighbor's lawn in tact. The next time we need trees maintained (as we have no intent in removing the healthy trees in our space), we'll call Ken without hesitation.

Ken's crew showed up exactly when they said they would and went right to work. You could tell from the start that these guys knew exactly what they were doing. They worked safely which was definitely a concern when you have men climbing in trees on your property. They had nice new equipment including an awesome bucket truck. My dog accidentally got out and one of the guys took it upon himself, without me asking, to chase him around the neighborhood and bring him back. Ken pointed out to me that a little trimming need to be done on a tree that was hanging over the gutter on my house. With approval from me, he trimmed it up and didn't even charge any more than his original quoted price.

He did not seem professional compared to other companies I was looking at.
