We have been taking our dog to 4Muddy Paws about every 3 months over the last year. He is a large dog with a thick coat and the grooming typically takes 5- 6 hours. Something went very wrong at his last grooming. I called to find out if he was ready to pick up and the person answering the phone said he was busy with another customer and would call me back. He did not call me back so I called back a little while later and was told my dog was ready to pick up. When I arrived, the groomer brought the dog out and said she would not be able to groom him any longer. She said he had struggled and resisted the grooming and was too difficult to handle. I was surprised to hear this since he had been going regularly without them telling me there were significant problems. He had been with them all day and no one had called to say there were any issues. I felt terrible and saddened by this experience. I don't know what happened during the grooming but my dog is obviously disturbed by the experience. He is afraid of his leash and scared to leave the house. In general, I think the staff means well but they didn't handle this situation well or talk with me when they first had an issue. They may be better with little dogs but do not seem as capable with large breeds.

They have a very friendly and helpful staff. They also have a complete selection of products.

Ever since his first cut, I take him back every month and they have worked with him each time to help coach him to being a calm, easy to groom dog. Jaime has given me suggestions about what to work on each month - working with his paws to make trimming nails less stressful... and in a short time, he seems pretty comfortable with the whole grooming situation. When I told her that my pup seems to do better if given a chew toy while working on his paws, she didn't roll her eyes like it would be a hassle - she THANKED me for the info. I loved that! The fact that they do grooming 7 days a week is great for my schedule too - and since I buy my dog food here, it means I can get everything done in one stop. In fact, I have found the staff at the store to be very nice - and really helpful. They sell the highest quality dog food and treats and are super knowledgeable about pet care. Vera is the best - she's very patient with every person in the store and gives each pup a little attention too.

I love them. Their groomer was fostering a dog that we ended up adopting, and he is sitting on my couch right now being loved. They always excel in what they do.

Krystal is the person who always does the grooming on my animals. She is the best around this area. The shop itself is the cutest thing that I have ever seen. Their prices are really good and they always do a great job on my animal.

I can drop her off before the appointment, and pick her up later that afternoon. They have a new location that is very environmentally friendly and they stock a good assortment of wellness type food products.
