John was really fantastic. John took up old layers of kitchen floor that went down to 3 layers. It was excruciating work and he did it ever so quickly and neatly and cleaned up as he went. He advised us of each stage that he was doing, asked questions about what we desired throughout (i.e. do you want your baseboards white or the color of the flooring?) and he left each day with his massive amount of work tools neatly in one corner so we could walk around them. He also swept up as he went along. It was a really messy and very complicated looking job. The appliances were placed where we could get into them very easily for those days. He was apologetic that he could not complete the work in one day (as we had to shut off gas which meant no hot water nor cooking availability) but we knew that it would probably take 2-3 days. So it was fine. He finished up on the 3rd day in the very early morning and it was absolutely fantastic. Perfect.

We have used Champion Floor Company for several projects at our home and our daughter's home. We found them to be professional in all regards. They stand behind their work and the price they quote. There are no hidden surprises when it comes to the bill! I would recommend them to anyone who wants quality work at a competitive price! The employees were all professional and eager to help. They helped us navigate through the various options and select products that worked for us and were in our budget.

They were really patient with us and they worked with us on scheduling and they were very understanding about the situation going on here. We had bedbugs and so, we had the carpet removed from the house and replaced with tile and we had to do the entire house, so it was kind of crazy moving all the furniture from one end of the house to the other and then moving everything to the other end of the house. It was an ordeal and they were patient and understanding about it. They have a really large selection and I didn't have any bad experience with them.

I have used Champion previously, and each time I find their staff to be very attentive. Ralph, Kristen, and Jeff deserve to be called out for their excellent workmanship. The area rugs complement my newly installed wood floors which Champion did this past winter. As a dog owner, I need rugs to be able to stand up to the wear and tear of a large dog and the rugs have been an excellent choice. Jeff has simply done an amazing job installing my bathrom floors and wall tile. It is very apparent that Jeff takes a lot of pride in his craftsmanship. My house simply looks amazing and I would recomend Champion to anyone.

They custom made 3 flush vents for our hardwood floor. It turned out fabulous. Nobody trips anymore, and before that was a reason that we weren't going to buy the house. He came out and did measurements and within a week he came out to do the work. He also installed some thresholds in the floor, and he did that within the same day. We had heard about him through a friend that had gotten their floors done by them and they did custom work for them as well.

The work they did was good and if I judged them solely on the resulting work, I would use again. Unfortunately, there are other issues that would lead me not to use them and they all center around a lack of organization. Specifically, the individual giving the estimate gave me an estimate of $3,500 and told me that could install quarterround beneath the baseboards. I made it clear while I did not expect that they would be able to exactly match my existing floors with the new flooring, my goal was get it as close as possible and avoid jarring differences. I asked whether the things in the cabinets would have to be removed and he said no. We also decided not to remove the dishwasher. I received the estimate of approximately $3,500. They also told me they would have to bring the wood the week before the installment week. When we were a couple of days into the week and I had not heard, I called the office. I received an email telling me that could still bring that week, she also told me to remove everything in the cabinets and that the dishwasher would have to be pulled. I told her that was not what the estimator had indicated. Finally, they dropped the wood off on my front porch when I was, of course, not home. The installation started and they were prompt each day and cleaned up after themselves. Twice, however, I waited for them to arrive in the morning, left for work, only to be greeted with a message from the workers telling me I needed to return home. Once it was for me to "select the stain for my installed floor". When I arrived back, the "selection" was just to show me what it would look like. I told them that was not okay, because it was jarring and that it needed to be closer to the other rooms. They used the stain anyway, one of the people in charge came over ultimately and they were able to get much closer. I was told that someone else would come to reinstall the threshold, to replace a piece of missing baseboard, to take care of a piece ripped away from the cabinets. When he came that time, however, he could not replace the threshold so we arranged to meet again at 6:00 pm for the final completion. I came home to meet him, he was on time but without the baseboard which he had left at his home. He went to Home Depot to get a baseboard, came back reinstalled the threshold. When I realized that he was no longer downstairs (he did not tell me he was leaving), I saw that he had not stained the base board which I am now trying to match. Finally, despite discussing the quarteround at the first meeting and despite that the installers told me it was in their workpapers, I was charged an additional amount for it. It's a shame because they do good work, but they lack organization that could make the process so much better for the homeowner. By the way, I am now on my second can of stain to try and match the inserted baseboard the rest.

I called Champion requesting an estimate for refinishing some wood floors in our house. The receptionist was very nice. I explained I would need a bid late on a Friday afternoon or on a Saturday. She said a salesperson would have to get back to me since she couldn't schedule those particular hours. I placed this call approximately three + weeks ago and have heard from no one. I will not call back since I would not be able to depend upon them. I regret this experience as the company was recommended to me.

They did exactly what they said they would do in a timely fashion. They did put a dent in my refrigerator which they paid for without argument. The floor looks beautiful.

Their quality was good. They completed the work in about 1 week which is what we expected. There were no problems.

Our sales rep, Joel Wright was very professional and personable. He understood exactly what needed to be done. The actual installation was provided earlier than anticipated because the wood came in early. It was installed by a very professional young man who was on time, very courteous and very neat (wood had to be cut and there was no dust). His work was outstanding and the job was professionally done.

Champion Floor was excellent from beginning to end! They came out very quickly to give me a bid, and had the quote back to me within an hour or two. The people who performed the actual work were extremely pleasant, personable and very prompt. The floor looks incredible! An "A" rating doesn't do our experience with this company justice! They deserve much better!!

He was only to install my floor. I furnished the flooring and materials. His estimate was higher than most. I asked if I would get a discount as an Angie's Member he said no. He was $800.00 higher than all 3 estimates I received. I really wanted to go with his company but I Could not afford him given my financial situation.

The Champion Flooring people arrived, promptly, when we expected them. They were courteous, respectful and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves and were very good to explain what they were doing on a particular day - and what we needed to do. They finished up our project, on time - within three days. I thought it was sweet that they were very adamant that we were careful about moving back onto our new floors - they really took ownership and cared about protecting our floors. I would highly recommend the crew (two workers) that came out to my house!

They were absolutely wonderful. My experience with them went extremely well. They were very professional. The couple of minor problems that we had were fixed very promptly. Since we had a particularly difficult installation, they have come back to check on us several times. I can't tell you how very impressed I am with the company. Considering the amount of work that they did and the difficulty of the work that they did, I would give them an "A."

The crew arrived promptly at 8 a.m. each day. They were professional in their communications, their work ethic, and their workmanship. We were very pleased with the results such that we have now contracted for Champion to install new oak flooring in our entire downstairs. We highly recommend Champion.

From the beginning, it was very apparent how much they cared that my project was handled in a professional manner. They were very careful to make certain that the measurements were done correctly. They also were very helpful in selecting the color of the wood stain and the carpeting. They have communicated throughout the project and kept me informed of any issues. Their workers take tremendous pride in the work that they are doing. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone considering floor work. The entire team deserves an A+.

We were in the market for new flooring throughout our home. We have had carpet covering hardwood for several years (20+) and had considered refinishing it but had heard that it was very expensive and didn't even know how it would look since it had several staple marks from the carpet. We were referred to Champion Floor from the chamber of commerce and they came out and went thru our options while keeping our budget in mind. We ended up going with the refinishing and were even able to customize the color to match the rest of our homes decor. They also installed vinyl flooring in our kitchen and eating area and new (matching) baseboards throughout. Champions installers did a great job and our salesperson, Kristen, was always available and answered all of our questions and kept us informed throughout the project. It was definitely worth the investment!

Champion Floor company's crews were extremely professional throughout the large project. This complex job included hardware floor renovation, (lacing), refinishing, and some carpet installtion. Final quality was excellent for the entire job. The company also would correct any issues and requested modifications without hesitation thoughout the project. You need refinishing, or new flooring of any type, you should use this company!

Contacted Champion and Ralph (owner) called back to set up a time to come out that was convenient for us. After initial appt, we really didn't know what we wanted to do for flooring so we had gone to their showroom and brought home samples a few different times (they were very happy to let us take them home). After a couple of weeks we finally picked out the carpet and placed the order with minimal $ down. We had some construction to do prior to carpet being installed so it was a little time in between and they were very patient and accommodating to our schedule. They finished the job as promised and the quality of work was great--they cleaned up after themselves. There were some small issues of wall scratched, but they took care of them with no problem and also had to come back out for some minor repairs and to clean a spot that was on the carpet we noticed after install. We had dealt with a few people in the office and everyone was very nice and they made some great suggestions as to what we should get to fit our needs. We are very happy with the selection made and the service they provided.

We had originally gotten a quote for the company to provide ceramic tile and install it. We received a quote which included an allowance per square foot of tile and told that we needed to go to the tile shop and select the tile we wanted. The quote seemed a little on the high side, but as we could not get any other tile companies to return our request for quote, we decided to go with them. We found a couple of tiles that were acceptable at the store, but found some marble tiles that we really liked at Home Depot for less than the allowance. When we contacted the tiler to ask how they would handle it if we provided the tile, we were told that they would have to reqoute the job as they said they don't make a lot on the installation but actually make most of their money from the rebate from the tile company. Even though the quote still seemed a little higher than expected, we decided to go with it. The area being tiled was an odd shaped 12X13 foot area, with 3 sides being straight and one having angles. The first day, a single worker showed up and removed the tile and laid the subfloor. Again, this isn't a large area so we figured he would actually start tiling, but that did not happen until the second day. On day two, workers showed up and started laying tile. Both workers seemed to spend a lot of time out in their car, so only half of the tile got laid. On day 3, both workers again showed up and completed laying of the tile, again with many trips to their car. They actually spent so much time in their car that one of our other contractors chewed them out and commented that they had drained the battery on their car. They told my wife that they would be back the following day to grout. The initial worker showed up on day 4 and grouted, completing the job. Quality wise, this company did very nice work and we are very pleased in how it looks. We are just glad that we weren't paying the workers by the hour or day as they stretched what probably could have been a 2 or 2-1/2 day job into a 4 day job.
