Scheduling was a little difficult. They were pretty well booked. We got a deal of the month off Angie's List for the service. They went to my old house because Angie's List had the wrong address for me. They went to the old house which is actually vacant and cleaned that out. When I finally got them scheduled, they came and they had the wrong address, so they couldn't find me and they didn't do it. They called and promised that they would do it and they got the address settled and they came, and the quality of the work is great. They did an awesome job.

The experience went very well. The technicians did what they were supposed to do. Their price was good. I won’t be able to see the difference until next spring, but everything went expected at this point.

the job was done quickly and efficiently the young man did a great job and cleaned up the area after he was don. Good job.

It was Big Deal that I purchased. I was a bit disappointed with them; it was mainly a schedule thing. When I purchased the deal, I asked that it not be until the last week of September or the following week because I was going to be out of town. They had it scheduled for that Tuesday and they didn't show up so I thought they were running late. I called them the next day and they said they had scheduling problems and would definitely be there the next day on Thursday. They didn't show up on that day. They did show up on Friday but they didn't call to let me know that they wouldn't be there Thursday. They should have handled it more professionally. There were bare spots after they did the work so I went and bought some more grass seed. I had just bought the house and the yard had been neglected; it was really weedy. If it had been a typical lawn and just needed fall aeration, it would have been sufficient. I don't blame them for that and I didn't have any complaints about that. It would have been nice if they had called and told me that it needed more grass seed. I wasn't there when they did the work so I don't know anything about the guys who did the work. I don't know if I would use them again but the main problem was just the scheduling. The price was great so I really didn't hold it against them for me having to buy more grass seed. My only beef with them was the scheduling and the way they handled it.

It was good. The price was great. I would use them again.

With their Angie's List "The Big Deal" Special, I believed they were overwhelmed with the responses. They would start after the 15th of September. I had to call twice to get on their work schedule which forced my job into early October. Even the day they were to do the job, I had a voice message stated they would not be able to make it. However when I got home, they had already done it. For the aeration, they only did the level areas of the yard. Left a note stating they could not do the incline in the back yard. I have had other companies do aeration on the slope. After my first report, Green Thumb contacted me about coming back and doing the slope on my backyard. They scheduled a time to return and tried to perform the aeration but the slope was too wet. They waited until it was drier and completed the job. I give Green Thumb a THUMBS UP because they stood behind their work and strive for customer satisfaction. I would recommend them.

I had some severe erosion occurring in my back yard. I called around and the first company to show up at my door was Green Thumb. out of 4 companies they were the least expensive, they also were the most professional. While they were completing the job to be done, they were professional and on time. they did not leave a mess. The men that came out were professional and polite. I am extremely happy with the services.

They were very punctual. They did a great job of removing things from our garage without breaking any of our stuff. They were effecient and nice as well. I was very impressed with their service overall. They cleaned up my mess and didn't leave a mess either.

Saw an Angie's List "The Big Deal" for aeration and overseeding. Needed this service done, the price was fair, and the company seemed endorsed by Angie's List, so I paid for the deal. It took an entire month to get the work done (ordered on 8/27, work done on 9/27). I called to schedule the work, and they weren't prepared. They said they would call me back the following week, but did not. I began to get concerned that my credit card had been charged, but I was having problems getting the service set up. I gave them my cell phone number to reach me, but they kept leaving messages on my home phone. So, I was getting the feeling that they did not want to work with me directly. Eventually, they left a message saying they would come on 9/26. That day came and they did not show up. Late in the day, they again called my home phone to say they would come the next day, which they finally did. For the aeration, you had to look closely to see that they did anything. In my past experience with other companies, my yard looked pretty ragged, but quickly recovered. Just casually looking at the yard, you couldn't really tell that anything had been done. But, upon close examination (especially where the grass was stressed and brown, it was apparent that they at least did something. The big surprise came this week when they sent me a statement attempting to charge me again for the service! I dug up my receipt from Angie's List, and my last credit card statement and verified that I had already paid for this service. I'm definitely not happy with their communication, not impressed by the service they performed, and extremely displeased at their attempt at double-charging me. I wonder how many people signed up for this Angie's List Big Deal, and are being double-charged as I was. UPDATE #1 (10/10 response to their initial response): I have returned their call and are waiting for them to get in touch. There is nothing on their billing statement that says they were looking for a coupon code, or mentions Angie's List. It says "Please Remit $105", and "Payment Due Upon Receipt". So, if I had been less attentive, I would have paid again. Further, there is no "coupon code" to give them. I fully paid for the service, and have an Angie's list receipt (I mailed a copy of the receipt to them yesterday). The fact is I was clearly billed for something I had already paid for. It sounds like this was inadvertent, due to their unfamiliarity with the Big Deal processes. So, consumers need to be alert that they have these process problems (check your statements carefully), and hopefully they will be solved soon. UPDATE #2 (10/10 - after they called) After I left a message earlier today, they contacted me. They apologized for the problems I experienced and insisted that all of the problems were inadvertent. They offered to come out and do the work again. Also, they said that statements to future customers will inform them that they want the Angie's List coupon/receipt information, rather than a payment. I am upgrading some of my ratings to reflect their attempts to make things right. However, it was still not a good experience for me. Hopefully, they'll make improvements, and future customers will have it better.

I had a Big Deal through Angie's List. The guys did a very god job, they did exactly what they were supposed to. The only concern I had is that I did have a little bit of issue with their scheduling. I had ideas of when I wanted it done. Before I bought it I talked with them on when they would start doing it, they said not before September 14th which I thought was great because I was looking at getting it done on September 15th. I got a call back the next week and they said they'd be out on 9/15, they indicated that might be a little bit of an issue but they'd fit me in. Come to find out they just kind of left it up to the team of guys to route themselves however. I never heard back until 7 in the morning they were out here doing. The concern was we are looking at something that is weather related and I needed to coordinate it with the guy who does my lawn. He was planning to come out here around 8 or 8:30am before they got here but he drives up and they are already here doing it. They had some coordination issues. It was an Angie's Big Deal, bought and paid for. A couple days ago I got an invoice from them. They need to talk with Angie's List and get it straightened out.

They did what they said they were going to do. They did a good job. Their was no mess as they cleaned up after themselves. I was very impressed with them. The lady on the phone did a good job as well.

Very courteous on the phone. Responded in a timely manner. The company arrived. Each person had a different job. They were efficient. I did not have any contact with the workers, only the person who arranged the date.

Overall, the company did a good job. The only glitch came with them fulfilling the initial scheduled time to begin work. The company told me they would be out to my place between 8AM and noon (probably around 10AM). When 1PM came around, I called and left a message regarding punctuality. About 1:30 PM, a two-man crew showed up. Later in the day, a company representative left a message on my phone apologizing for the late start, stating that they got busier than planned, and she meant to call earlier to let me know that they would be late. All-in-all, it worked out fine.

I would definitely use green thumb again - in fact my parents used after me for some drainage problems in their yard.
