"Outstanding, was also what I would say my experience was with working with this customer. I was given the opportunity to design a paver patio space that she could entertain and enjoy with family and friends. With her input on design thoughts and size, I was very excited when I found out that we were going to create this space for her. Everything turned out looking Great"
"Wow, way back in April of 2012, I have to be honest, I can not recall this persons project or yard, oh and by the way I truly doubt that I was over whelmed."
"Wow, now that was fun. I truly enjoyed working with this customer in re-building the retaining wall in front of there home, from (1) tall wall to (2) walls that created a planting bed. What a change and new look to the front of the home. With the lighting we added really added the "Finishing Touch" to the entire project."
"What a nice customer to have had the chance to meet and work with. Because of the backlog from all of the Spring rains, it took a bit of time to get to this customers project, but we finally did and everything turned out very nice."
and they did
"What a customer to have had the chance to meet and work for. it was a smaller project, but needed to be done in order for his paver patio to drain the correct away. Everything turned out looking Great."
When I chased Tom up, he was apologetic and he stated that he definitely wanted to submit a quote. Again, I never heard from him and I left a message on his answer phone, but we had no response so I gave up.
I hate giving contractors failing grades but under the circumstances I dont think I have any option.
"I had this customers proposal all written up and failed to finalize it and get it back to them, my fault, I should have completed it."
Review Update 7/13/2013 The C rating was because I asked Tom to give me a bid for doing the wall that he recommended. He said he was not going to waste his time giving a bid, because I was not going to do the wall. I said then we are done and he left. He never took any measurements, we never discussed anything about the wall. He called me not long after he left, I missed the call and he left a voice mail with that $9920.00 price and a good luck with my project. The C rating is a fair rating.
"I work with many customers with many situations and I provide what I feel is the best solution for there project as well as neighboring properties around there home. After seeing this project I did not feel, even though the city approved what this customer wanted to do was really the proper solution. My company does grading like this, if this property backed up to a wooded lot, I would have had no problem taking on this project, we have done work like this before in the past. I, as a business owner have a right to walk away from a project. They had gotten other bids of $14,000 and $10,000 for the wall project, I gave them my price of $9,920.00. for a retaining wall. A smaller wall would have been a solution also and cut the wall cost in half. A "C' report is not appropriate here. The home owner would have spent at least half of original retaining wall bids amount with removing all of the dirt and haul away fees."
"I really enjoyed working with this customer and look forward to future projects. Everything turned out looking very nice, what a change."
"I am not really sure what this person is talking about. I provided them a proposal in the time frame I said I would."
"I truly enjoyed the opportunity to get to know this couple and have the opportunity to work at there home. There happiness when we were done meant very much to me. There was allot of time that went into the planning of all the work we did to the front of there home, from stone type and color to plant design and selection to installation and more. You can certainly say we put the Finishing Touch to the front of there home. Everything turned out looking incredible."
Edit to posting on 6/3/13: Tom called on 6/4/13 to tell me he had emailed his proposal but he did not have the correct email address. Advised him that in fairness, I would edit my review to reflect this. I do appreciate him taking the time to call.
"I called and spoke with this customer, I explained to him that I did send a proposal to them after about a 2 weeks. I had not heard anything from them. Then I seen this report, I called them and go to find out I had sent it to a e-mail address that did not get kicked back to me, it was a working e-mail but was not my potential customers. These people said they understood that and would gladly change this report, they have not changed yet. Sometimes these things happen."
"Sometimes I find myself behind on getting bids back to potential customers. Everyone's project is important to me, so I don't turn down much work, but then I also find that I go on 25 to 35 appointments a week and after 4 weeks, well you can see how things can get backed up. We are growing."
"I e-mailed my proposal to this customer a few days after I told them I would, not sure why they did not receive it. I asked them if I could verify the e-mail address and resend it and they said no. I did the work I was expected to do and was excited to hear back from them and get the opportunity to work at there home."
This was just yesterday so we are still waiting on the quote. I am hoping it is as reasonable as the deck quote his brother gave us was. We are looking forward to working with him and having a beautiful and functional yard!
Great looking work. My girlfriend is always sceptical about stuff but she was very pleased with the work also.
"It was wonderful meeting with this customer and getting the opportunity to work at there home and get to know them, what a joy for me also. I look forward to future project with them also."
"Yes, as the Customer mentioned this is the second paver Patio we have built for them. First one was at a rental property they own and this one was at there home. Everything turned out looking very nice. I look forward to future project with them."
