In the summer of 2017, I had a tree rake the shingles overhanging the edge of my house to shreds. I also had several small areas of hail damage and a couple shingles that were torn due to a satellite dish removal. Mr. Caldwell was very down to earth about what needed to be replaced and what didn't. He made it clear that it might take a little while to find shingles that matched since mine were no longer being manufactured due to defects in the product. However, he reassured me that the roof was not in danger of leaking. I understood he likely had bigger projects to take care of so we arranged for him to get to it when he got a hold of the materials and had time to fix it. Because I did not need this done in a timely fashion, nor did I tell him I needed it done quickly, I marked N/A in the "timeliness" category above. Mr. Caldwell came out and fixed all the shingles, as well as cleaned the gutters for $175.00. I felt this price was very reasonable. Mr. Caldwell worked to minimize the number of repairs that were necessary to keep the cost down. It would have been easy for him to point out all sorts of issues and charge me to fix them. When he initially came out to assess the damage, he had mentioned that the some of the shingles I was worried about did not necessarily need repair. I mentioned that I intended to sell the house within the year and figured the inspector would likely find fault with them. Mr. Caldwell stated he understood and also offered to return to fix anything the inspectors did not like when that time came. In the fall of 2018, I had the house inspected and the inspector noted several small items like loose nails around flashing and a piece of ridge cap that was damaged. I called Mr. Caldwell and provided him with the inspection. Again, I was not in a hurry as the sale of the house was still a ways off and the issues were small. Mr. Caldwell came out to the house within a few weeks and repaired the damage. He again cleaned out the gutters. He only charged me $50.00 for the work he did. I will most definitely use Mr. Caldwell in the future!
