Thanx for the time you took to give me a nice review on this HO-HUM site that's SO poorly configured, EVEN THOUGH THEY REMOVED YOUR GLOWING REVIEW SINCE I TURNED DOWN THEIR DEMAND TO ADVERTISE ON THIS DEAD-END WEBSITE that NOBODY bothers to pay any attention to. I know that this site is VERY POORLY formatted, & confusing to navigate, so that becomes an issue also. If anyone really wants to see what My shop is all about, just Get to your "Search" bar, tell it "AUTO REPAIR, OSAGE BEACH, MISSOURI" & POOF! You've gone to GOOGLE MAPS, RIGHT to me, where I maintain a 4.6 average... (Darn TUFF to do in this Biz) THAT'S where people pay attention. This bunch here is just a struggling, tongue-wagging, poorly laid out E-nonsense bunch of going-nowhere, sit by itself in the corner, cold-mess dumpster of spilled foolishness. HEY ANGIE! HOW'D YOU LIKE MY "review"???

I should have known better when I was the only customer in sight. The repair shop charged for dye kit which I never saw installed, charged for 3 1/2 lbs new freon, when my old freon was re-installed. The bill was $209.55- should have been $75.00 -$125.00 for service provided. I was on vacation and the shop owner took advantage-highway robbery
Description of Work: 99 chevy suburban AC not cooling properly, AC system drained/recovered 5 lbs freon, changed freon screen/filter, system re-charged with old/recovered freon. Total shop time 45 minutes

Response from GERBIG'S OSAGE AUTO REPAIR
We use a Robinarre Recovery/Recharge station for all A/C work. It contains a separate canister for the new & the old freon. recovered freon contains humidity that concentrates @ the orifice tube outlet, plugging the orifice nozzle, & hence, the system, & causing a restriction of freon flow, & compressor failure. The Oil-charge is drawn into the system from a quart container on the side of the recycler. I mix the dye in with the PAG oil. this dye, & the PAG oil are BOTH a LOT more expensive than "normal" oil, but use of the proper, suitable oils is imparetive. I know of NO shops that don't charge for the freon they install. It is regretable that this person feels the need to post this inaccurate rant, when he has obviously no idea how an Air-conditioning recharge/Recovery station works. & I dare ANYONE to get a cheaper price than what he paid for having an A/C system diagnosed, checked for leaks, old freon recovered in Compliance w/ EPA regulations, the orifice tube removed, inspected for clogging/debri, & replaced with a new one, Then have 6 oz of R134-A compatable oil charged into the system, along with Leak-detection Dye, & 3.5 lbs of FRESH freon installed... I won't even get into the ongoing cost of the filters & maintenance on the Recycling machine, but that all has to be accounted for also. All in all, IF he had questions, the time to ask was THEN, as opposed to slamming me on this "E-slander" website, & being totally off-base with his "complaint" from start to finish to boot... (There ya go "Angie"...you like that "E-Slander-website" reference? How do YOU like it when someone slams YOUR livlihood on a public venue? but then YOUR "livlihood" IS NOTHING BUT slamming other businesses) I'm KNOWN by my Many Happy customers, & I'm done "defending" myself against this rant from someone that has NO understanding of how A/C systems & service even works.
