"I spoke with (removed member name) about the fact that our records showed that he cancelled his appointment with us. He was going to check his records to see if he had an invoice that quoted our prices. Because we offer an "Apples to Apples" Guarantee, it surprised me that we weren't able to come an agreement with (removed member name). One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning offers eight guarantees, one of them being our Apples to Apples, which states that we promise that you cannot find a comparable installation for less or we'll pay you a bonus. All we ask is that it be "comparable." Most companies are not able to compete with us on quality because they cut corners to give a cheaper price on important aspects of an installation, which we refuse to do. We hope that (removed member name) is happy with his new furnace, but if he'd gone with our company, if he had any issues at all, we provide an exclusive two-year satisfaction guarantee. "[removed member name] just spoke with me on the phone. Over the past several months, we as a company have made positive changes that insure that there is not a lack of communication between the call takers and our technicians. We were using a call center at the time [removed member name] experienced the issue with no one showing up for the appointment. We are now using Client Care Representatives that answer calls in our office. Steve Kurtz, owner of One Hour, has been personally addressing the issues that [removed member name] has had with her unit. Yesterday, we replaced her coil. We have agreed to give them free service on a water heater flue that needs repair in their new home. [removed member name] has agreed to reevaluate whether or not she will have an ongoing relationship with our company, in the near future, depending upon the outcome of our replacement of the coil and our agreement to service their water heater. I appreciate [removed member name] input. We are always concerned when a customer trusts us to service their indoor air comfort needs, and we disappoint them. Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction and we will strive to prove to [removed member name] that with the call taking and staff changes that we've made, we will win back her trust. To their credit, they spent some time explaining the different types of furnaces and I felt very good on the front end. After they made the sale, however, I didn't feel like we received as much attention as we should have. They were late several times, and I quickly learned that their One Hour guarantee doesn't apply to installations. Though I certainly didn't expect to get a free furnace, I was surprised by how un-timely the company was with a tag line of and quot;Always on time or you don't pay a dime.and quot;
The furnace works great, and their follow up appointment was very helpful. Although as I've had inspections since then, it has been pointed out to me that they ran electrical wires along, and affixed them to, gas lines. This is not to code, and I am paying an electrician to fix it.
All in all we got a great furnace at a good price, but I wasn't wildly impressed with the company.
