I took a pair of pants to them that had ripped at the in-seam. They stopped what they were doing and fixed the hole in a matter of minutes at no charge. They were extremely friendly.

Very disappointed in Rydell's.
Took a couple of nice new suits there to be altered (approx. retail $600-$900 each). When they took up the jacket sleeves, they sewed the sleeve buttons straight through the lining. That is entirely inappropriate, lazy, and unprofessional. The button stitching should never be visible through the lining. The lining should be pulled back, the buttons sewn through the wool outer layer, and then the lining sewn back together.
When I raised the issue, Rydell's agreed to re-do those buttons, and I thanked them and gave them two new suits to alter in addition (approx. retail of $1200 to $1500 each).
Well, when I got home, they had fixed the two original suits, but had done the incorrect stitching on the two new ones! What gives! That is totally unacceptable!
I refuse to there anymore, and you should too.

It went very well because he fixed the pants and charge me nothing. i had prior visits to the store and each time I was very satisfied with the service provided.

Every thing I have gotten back from them was just wanted them to do. I would give them an A overall, but B for price. The quality of work was great.

After having many friends encourage me to leave my old tailor in the dust for Rydell's, I finally gave in a took a shirt to them for a test run. I can say that I was beyond pleased. The fitting was quick and professional, the shirt done in two days, and the service was world-class. While the price is more that I was used to paying, it was well worth it as the shirt fits perfect, much better than my previous tailor's work.

Called about dress alterations, was told to bring item in any time that week, so the next day I made a special trip to the shop. Found a sign on the door saying they were closed for some kind of remodeling (not an emergency). Seems they could have been more concerned about inconveniencing a customer. I took the item to another shop.

It went great. This was my first visit to Rydell's. The service was outstanding and the quality of work superb. And Mr. Blonde worked with a very tight schedule for clothes I needed for an out-of-town conference. He was very courteous, friendly, and offered good advice about what was the best approach to alterations to one of the jackets. It is a small business with owners that focus on excellent customer service and quality work. I will definitely go back with future alterations projects and will highly recommend Rydell's to anyone else looking for a tailor.

Rydell's provides what I believe to be the finest more reliable alterations and tailoring in KC. Mr. Blonde can take a standard pair of off the rack pants or coat and make them appear custom.

My friend recommended this tailor as she and her husband both use them for alterations. They fitted my jeans and had them finished in one day. They did an excellent job even though they were a little expensive.
