Certified Radon

I can't say enough good things about this company. The process was painless, start to finish. Service was prompt and punctual. They even came back out after the install was complete to make a modification based on their quality standards. I definitely recommend Certified Radon!

It went well. Service people very professional and not pushy to get our system installed. Showed up on time. Had options for us when the system was going to be viewed at our patio door, and we opted to pay extra to install it up through the attic.

They sent a kit in and we sent it back to them. They were able to tell the radon levels in the house. It was fine. The levels were fine. The price was very reasonable. Their response was timely. First time, a person came out to make sure we knew how to install it.

I was so impressed with their notification system (when the system was going in, when it was being picked up, and as soon as it was picked up results were emailed to us!). Very professional, courteous, and prompt!

Both the estimator and the installer were prompt and polite. The estimator looked at all areas of my foundation and yard to find the best spot for the system that met codes and was also unobtrusive. My one complaint is that the estimator said the pipe taking radon out of the house would go through a small hole in my roof and instead, the installer took it around the eaves/gutters. Not the most aesthetically pleasing, but also not horrible. The installer cleaned up the basement where he was working and explained the whole system to me afterward.

It was fine. They came in quickly and then installed the thing, explained what they were doing and then they left. We mailed it in and got the results. I didn't pay anything extra.

got results back and radon was within normal limits. no further action needed at this time.

In and out quickly and did an excellent job. They worked with my Realtor to get into the house, so no fuss on my part.

The testing and installation was performed for the sale of my home. Everyone I had contact with was friendly, polite and professional. The installer arrived promptly when scheduled and performed the install in a timely manner. Even though I had sold my home, he ensured I was familar with how the system operated and his work areas were cleaned appropriately prior to him leaving. I would call this company again should I need this type of work performed on my home.

The install went very well. The installer showed up when they were supposed to and explained exactly what he was doing and why with each step. The system was tailored to my specifically to my house. He put down rugs and wore shoe covers so there wasn't any mess in the house. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. My radon levels ranged from 6-10 pciL and now are averaging around 1. I am very pleased with how they did and would recommend them to anyone.

They were very persistent in making sure that our radon levels were mitigated and they had to come back four and five times out of the confines of their original deal which was nice. They didn't charge us extra even though they were doing a lot more work and the levels are well below what they need to be so we are pleased with that. They made sure that they did a quality job and that it met our needs.

Easy to schedule. The installer was on time and professional. My wife felt that they explained everything well and we were asked for our input during the whole installation process. When we bought the house the radon measured at 12. Now it measures .8 Would use this company again.

The first sample they said took too long to get through the mail and I forgot to send the 2nd sample in time. I contacted them and they were very nice and sent me a 3rd sample. The people that I spoke with at Certified Radon were delightful but I was not happy with the company that tested the sample. My only issue with the service is the company that does the testing.

We never received our report, or if we did, I deleted it by mistake. After some time passed, I called them to check on the status of the report. They were very nice and quickly resent the report to my e-mail.

UPDATE 10/16/14: I called back to get an estimate for mitigation. They were aware of this review and made every effort to make it right. The owner came by and did my estimate personally, which impressed me, and shows that they care about their reputation. All of my interactions with this company have been positive. The only issue I've had was with the original test kit used. Due to this, I'm amending my review. The estimate was fair and the company has been very responsive and professional.

It was okay and I received my report. I did not need any additional care for the radon service as it was below the levels. They brought the kit to me and explained everything. They did what they were supposed to do. They got the report back to me in about 1-2 weeks

Provided a professional estimate and contract. Showed up on time, clean, neat and professional. Consulted with me on where the best location was for installation. Took extra care not to cause any damage to my home in the process (protected gutters, etc) Professional installation completed in the time stated, no hidden fees or charges.

The process went exactly as they promised. The radon level as required by the EPA is 2.4 (I believe). Our initial reading was over 7.0. We contacted Certified Radon. They explained what they would do including a re-test to insure our radon level was in fact over the acceptable level. Once it was verified to be over the acceptable level, the explained in depth how they would install a system to bring our reading down to 1.5 or less. They stated if their system did not produce the promised results, they would continue to work on the issue until it did at no additional cost to us. They installed their system, and within a couple of days our reading were at ranging from 1.3 to 1.0. I was very pleased with their work and their results.

Everyone we have been in contact with at Certified Radon has been very professional and friendly. When they came to our home to install the system they were very friendly. Explained exactly what would be happening and got the job done!

This was an Angie's list deal that included test and credit toward work and the entire process went extremely well. Everyone from the company was prompt, communicative and on time, all the way from office scheduler to sales rep that gave us bid for job to installation tech who did install work for the mitigation system. I was especially impressed with the install tech who took the time to walk around the outside and inside of house with me several times to find a better and less conspicuous location for the exterior fan and piping that can't be seen from the street or from our back patio. They also conducted follow up test to verify radon level and the install tech's work was very clean, neat and professional looking. Their office person was also helpful with scheduling for test, bid and install. Only complaints are very small. Install tech didn't clean up all the PVC shaving from cutting PVC pipe in driveway but this is very minor. Overall we were very happy.

We got the results in a timely manner.

While purchasing a home, the inspector tested for radon. The level was 45, which is very high. The EPA recommends that homes should not test for a level of 4 or higher! I was obviously very worried. After Certified Radon installed their system, the level fell to 1! The installer did his job punctually and cleanly. These guys are the best!

The test kit was quite rudimentary...standard I guess but very basic. I mailed in the test per instructions after 5 days. Customer then checks online for the results using the serial number of the test kit. There was no follow-up whatsoever from the company, and I did not receive any voucher good for possible future service as was stated in the original Angie's List Big Deal. The results of my test indicated a slightly elevated reading, but it was left up to the customer as to what to do next. The website recommended a follow-up test to verify the first result, then contact with a repair service based on the second result. I was not real pleased with the hands-off approach to "customer service" once the test kit was installed.
