Description of Work: We did a radon test on our own in our basement twice. We ordered the radon kits them from Amazon for $12 each. The unfinished part of the basement registered 5.7. If the reading is over 4.0 the EPA recommends remediation. The finished part of the basement only registered 2.7 but we decided that was higher than we wanted, so we had Certified Radon come out and give us a bid for remediation. We had the remediation installed on the outside of the house because our house has five levels and is very complicated and it seemed to be much simpler and make more sense to do it on the outside. Our house and guttering are grey. They painted the remediation machinery and pipe grey and installed it right next to our grey guttering downspout. It's not beautiful, but it looks fine. They tested our radon for three days after installation of the remediation and it registered .3 which is very good. The company was very professional. We would recommend them.

Description of Work: I used Certified Radon. I had a hot radon count, and I had some work done on it by another company, so I had them come back and do some more remediation. After the the other company installed an attic fan which wasn't reducing the radon, so Certified Radon came out and discovered that there was an issue with the builder, and they opened up the cavity and fixed the problems. They drilled some more holes and it was good. It took care of the radon problem.

Description of Work: Installed a radon mitigation system. There was a crawl space involved, so the cost was higher because that space had to also be included in the mitigation system.

Description of Work: Rep was punctual. Presented a good overview of the service. We followed her instructions, returned test packet to lab after required number of days and received prompt reading from lab. No follow up was necessary since readings were within acceptable levels.

Description of Work: I contracted with them through an Angie's List special. The came out and explained how to use a radon sensor and where to send it. They had to give me two sensors because I missed the deadline for the first one.
