I called their business on 9/17/2012 to order a gift for my husband for our anniversary. I asked for 6-12 cookies and 2 flowers (1 red rose & 1 while flower). I asked what the charge would be for the gift and I was told between $30 and $35, including delivery, for the arrangement. They delivered 1 gift bag with 13 cookies, 1 red rose, and one very poor looking white flower on time as expected but my credit card was charged $56! I called them to let them know that there must have been a mistake but they insisted that I just didn't understand the price that they gave me. I'm not sure how I could have "misunderstood" $30-$35, delivery included. **After this post was made, originally, they called me to let me know that they made a $9 error and that my credit card would be credited $9 and they have corrected the charge to my card and the full amount charged, to date, is $46.99. As of 9/19/2012 they have called my husband, who received the gift, at his employer to verify that he received the cookies and flowers and to complain about my post on AngiesList.com. They instructed him to make me remove the post from AngiesList.com. They then called me and threatened a slander lawsuit against me for posting my opinion on this web site if I refused to remove my opinion entirely. Their representative also informed me that my opinion is based solely on the fact that I was having a bad day (I was not) and that I am just "a person who doesn't want to pay for what they have received" and that they don't need customers like me. During their call to me, they also informed me that they were going to call the management at my husband's employer and take this matter up with them. Note that his employer was the delivery location and had no other involvement in this matter.

Response from FORGET ME NOT
I have waited a while to respond to this, not knowing really where to start. (member name removed) was told that the gift would run between $30-$35. We do offer delivery, and that is an additional charge, and also depends on how far out the deliver is, in this case it was out of the city limits a ways. Then we are required by law to charge tax. There is nothing we can do about that. None of our prices automatically include tax or delivery, so I am not sure why (member name removed) was surprised that we charged for delivery & she had to pay tax. As far as the quality of what was sent...the flowers were fresh. There was a red rose & a white lily, with a bakers dozen of freshly baked cookies in a gift box. In her original 'review' she had stated that there were 6 cookies and that she had been charged more than her card had been charged, so yes, in an e-mail, we asked her to at least reflect ACTUAL amounts rather than decreasing the amount of product given & the price charged to make the situation look worse. Here is a copy of the e-mail that I sent to her.... "I am sorry you feel that you were misled. The price of our gifts & arrangements do not include delivery or tax, as you will find with anything you purchase. The price for the item is listed...and then there is sales tax. If you order something to be delivered, such as pizza or flowers, the deliver is in addition to the price of the gift & the tax. I am sorry you misunderstood that. The gift you sent your husband was to be $30-$35....You card was charged $46.99. I am fully aware of how word of mouth is powerful, as we are a small, local business that depends on happy customers. We always try our best to please people, and you can see that by reading our reviews online. I would appreciate if you could adjust your review online to state the actual facts...you were not just given 1/2 dozen cookies, and your card was not charged $57. If you choose to still say that you were not pleased, that is your choice, but the disappointment comes from you thinking delivery & tax was included in that amount....not from a bad product. Again, I am sorry that you misunderstood...but if you order in the future from ANY of the local flower shops, the price of your item will not include you tax & delivery. My suggestion would be, if you have a certain amount you can spend, you need to say, "I have $35, and I need that to include delivery, what can I get?" (but there will still be sales tax...we can't legally take that off...so if you need it to be under $35 with tax included, you would probably want to spend $30 & tell the shop upfront that you need that to include delivery.) I hope your husband enjoyed his cookies, and you had a nice anniversary." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Here is a copy of the e-mail she sent me in response..... "Now, in my review online I never stated that the delivery was inadequate compared to what I had ordered. I stated that I was charged an amount much greater than the quote I was given. My original post was made before I received a call yesterday stating that there was a "mistake" in the addition of the charges and that I would be credited $9 to reverse that error. My original post: Description Of Work: I called their business on 9/17/2012 to order a gift for my husband for our anniversary. I asked for 6 cookies and 2 flowers (1 red rose & 1 while flower). Member Comments: I asked what the charge would be for the gift and I was told between $30 and $35, including delivery, for the arrangement. Everything was delivered on time as expected but my credit card was charged $56! I called them to let them know that there must have been a mistake but they insisted that I just didn't understand the price that they gave me. I'm not sure how I could have "misunderstood" $30-$35, delivery included. Now, that being said, I have updated my opinion online to include all updated information regarding the credit to my card and the subsequent phone calls to myself and my husband." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yes, we did call her husband to see if he had received his gift (as is our policy ANYTIME there is a discrepancy between the amount of product that left the shop, and the amount of product the customer is saying was received) & we did ask him how many cookies were in the box...because at the time, she was insisting that there were a half dozen rather than the 13 that we put in the box, so we were checking to make sure that no one helped themselves to a few before he got it since we did not hand it directly to him. Unfortunately things like this do happen, rarely, but they do, so we were checking. At no time did we EVER say to anyone that we were going to call management at his job. This thought doesn't even make sense to me as they have nothing to do with any of this. In conclusion, (member name removed) placed an order, it was made & delivered, & her husband received what she had paid for. Her card was charged for the gift, delivery & sales tax. When we were contacted about the gift, we checked to make sure that it had not been tampered with before her husband received it. She stated false information in an online review in attempts to damage our business & we asked her to please change the numbers to reflect the correct amounts to go along with her personal opinion. Although we are sorry that she was not pleased, at no time was she ever threatened for stating her opinion, only asked to give truthful information. And at no time did we ever threaten to involve her husbands place of employment. We are a small, local business who offers friendly customer service & strives to make our customers happy, as you will see by our numerous reviews on other websites.
