The delivery was late because it went to our old address, which we expressly told them was NOT to be used. When they finally showed up at the house, they had forgot a few pieces, so they went back to the store. After they returned to the house, the delivery guys discovered that they had broken the mirror. That had to be reordered for later delivery. Then they figured out that they had forgot one of the rails of the bed and the mattress cover. Back to the store. They brought back the bed rail, but they forgot the bed cover. The main delivery guy was freaking out because they were already 3-4 hours behind on their deliveries for the day and they had to bring the mattress cover back. He pleaded with us to let them deliver the cover later that day or at some point over the next couple of days. Since we were in the middle of a move, and had already missed several appointments that day with several others to make, stupidly, we agreed and signed off. Long story short, months later when my wife saw me changing the sheets, she asked where the mattress cover was. OOPS! I contacted the store manager and explained the situation. He said that he would look into the matter. After a month or so of not hearing from him, I contacted the store again. He was not there that day, but they said he would call me the next day. He did call me the next morning, just after 8am, and told me that it was our fault for not remembering it and taking so long to report it. I asked him if he even checked his inventory or asked the guys if they remembered it, but he just kept saying that it had been too long (He didn't seem to mind that it took him over a month to reply, and that was only after I reminded him of it, and I am sure that he just blew it off). I kind of knew when I first talked to him that he was a weasel, and he proved me right. I am not much for labeling people, but this guy is as dishonest as they come. So now we are out $100 plus the protection that the mattress cover was supposed to provide. Since Ashley choses to employ inept delivery and management personnel that willingly chose to rip people off, I hope that by my alerting their potential customers to go elsewhere will cost the store and company 1000 times more than the $100 that we are out. Shame on them for having horrible customer service. Oh, by the way, we have spent over $6000 in their store, and had planned on buying 3 more bedroom suites and a second couch set/sectional. Not gonna happen.
Description of Work: We ordered a new bedroom set for delivery to our new home.
