I will never purchase anything from them again. They have not lasted with the money that I paid for them. I had bought from them before and it was good. When we went to change and get new, it was not worth a darn. We went back to the company and tried to get them to work with us and they would not have anything to do with us. The store is now out of business, it is gone. Lazy Boy did not want to take care of their product. I would never buy one of those again, even though I have in the past. This was a year ago. It has been a disaster; I should have caught the money on fire and kept what I had. They could have replaced what was wrong with the fabric. The recliners could have had parts replaced; they are loose and wobbly. It was just a poor quality product. Their products use to not be that way that was why we went back and bought lazy boy again. Their manufacturing has just gone down hill. I would tell people to stay away from them and go to flex steel or something like that. I have not had them 2 ½ years yet and the fabric has fallen apart, the mechanics of the recliners has fallen apart and it is just junk. I would never go back.

Chair was delivered on 12/28/2011. Fabric on seat cushion was puckered and gathered at the edge all the way around both sides of the cushion. Fabric on one arm was also loose. Notified the store on 12/28/2012 that upholstery was not satisfactory. Waited 2 weeks for an outside contractor (not a La Z Boy employee) to assess the defects. Was told that La Z Boy would contact me in 3-5 days. On day 5 I had to call them only to be told that they hadn't reviewed the report. After an additional 2 days of emails and phone calls La Z Boy corporate agreed to send a tech to repair loose fabric on the arm and to seat a new cover for the cushion. But initially they tried to tell me that the issues with the upholstery were acceptable to their standards. This was insulting to say the least. I am the son, and nephew, of upholsterers so I know what correct upholstery looks like. The new seat cover is no better than the original and the tech did not show up for appointment and I did not receive a phone call to explain why, or to reschedule appointment. It is now 30 days since the problem was reported and I haven't received the repairs agreed to. I am thoroughly dissatisfied. I am also told that "special orders' cannot be returned for "any reason". I suppose we'll end up in small claims court.
Description of Work: Ordered a recliner on 11/15/2011.

Please see above. No satisfaction, they apparently do not care if they have unsatisfied customers. I will never, ever buy a LazyBoy product again! Our loveseat is very poorly built compared to our other loveseat that was 17 years old! It is sad that Americans do not take pride in their product! The final person I spoke with at the LazyBoy customer care center, had an attitude of "we don't really care if you like it or not, but that's the way it is!". I asked her if she would be satisfied with that type of response and she said "probably not". She said you can talk to someone else, but they will tell you the same thing. I certainly hope someone from LazyBoy reads this and sees that they do have a customer who is truly dissatisfied with their product! I will be sure and tell everyone I know not to buy LazyBoy because they do not stand behind their product. One more thing, the woman told me that the fabric had a one year warranty, I've had my loveseat one year and one month!!!! What a lousy company!!!!!!!
Description of Work: My husband and I purchased a sofa sleeper and loveseat from LazyBoy Furniture Gallery in Independence, MO in 2010. We began the process (needed to pick out material) in March, but did not receive the furniture until June 2010. We were told the first fabric we chose would not work on our sofa, so we chose a second fabric. I was very emphatic with the sales lady that we have cats and needed something that I could easily remove the cat hair and that the loveseat is used daily. I must reiterate that this is our 2nd set of LazyBoy furniture, the first set was fabulous. Very well made and the material was wonderful. For the first 6-9 months, the furniture held up fairly well, although removing the cat hair was a difficult task. Then I began noticing that the material on the loveseat began to ball-up, or pell as they call it. So, I called LazyBoy and they said they would send someone out from a company called Advantage Furniture Repair. I had to call back after about 2 weeks because no one called from the furniture repair place to set up an appt. They finally came out, took pictures, agreed that the fabric was not looking good and told me a customer care rep from LazyBoy would be in contact. I waited and waited for a call back. Finally I called LazyBoy and was told by a "customer care rep" that the ticket was closed. I asked why, since no one had ever called me back, they had no good reason for this, but said that the ticket was closed. I asked what the resolution was and they said that the material "I" chose had a tendency to pell and that I needed to purchase a clothes shaver to "shave" the material!!!! I said that was unacceptable, that the sales lady at LazyBoy should have told me that. Again, no response. The lady I spoke with said she would have someone else call. Again, I received no call back, so I contacted the store directly. The sales person I spoke with was very sympathetic and said she would send an e-mail to their customer care dept. and have someone get back with me. They called back and basically said "too bad", you chose the material and it has a tendencye to pell, so shave the material. That was that!!!!
