They would not return our calls and emails. When my husband finally got them to take his call they told him "We didn't call you back because we had nothing to tell you". I had to file a complaint with GM to finally hear from the dealership. Moe is supposed to be the general manager - called and told me it would be another two weeks before he knows anything. I said that was unacceptable and said that I would go to the media. He called back the next day and said to come and pick up the paperwork after 2:00PM - When I got to the dealership no paperwork... Moe insisted that he said to come tomorrow which he did not.
I love the Yukon and the folks at GM Headquarters and highly recommend them. This dealership has serious problems. Buy your GMC vehicles from another dealer.

I bought a used 2008 Honda Ridgeline, and was charged a $199.00 title paperwork fee, and promised I would receive my title in the mail within a week or two. I was told by more than one person the titles are kept off premises for security purposes. Now it has been 24 days, and I have not received my title. They also would not give me any copies of the paperwork I signed. I was told it would all be mailed to me with my title. I have been calling and asking for my title, and they kept telling me it was being processed, and I would have it soon. Then they started telling me it would be a little longer. Then the receptionist told me that chances are, I would need to come back in when my 30 day temporary plates expire, and they will re-issue a new temporary plate to me....(which is illegal), and was told they will cover any fines I am charged by the DMV when I register my title past the 30 day mark. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, so I have been calling them every few days, and the calls ring 50-75 times before Debbie answers, and then just transfers me to someones voicemail. I have been hung up on more than once. I have now been contacted by someone with the company named Moe, who first told me the person who knows the status of my title was at the funeral of a loved one. Then a few days later told me that he knew the family personally who traded in the car I bought, and he would get to the bottom of it. Then he told me that he has discovered the bank that has the title is withholding it due to a lien on it, but that he would get it taken care of for me asap. It seems as though if I want to talk to anyone there I must call them, and reach them, as Moe has been the only one to call me back albeit with a story that changes daily, at least he calls me back. When I was first concerned about my title, I called my salesperson's personal cell, and left 3 individual messages before I received a call back. So, at this point there is 7 days left to register my vehicle legally, I have no title, and no idea as to when I will receive it. This is still ongoing and not resolved. I may never receive my title. Buying a car is a tough process, be sure you do your homework first, and buy from a reputable company, and the only advice I can give is to be sure you are handed a title when you hand them a check, otherwise you will get the runaround indefinitely. Also, the salesperson told me they had the vehicle inspected and repaired anything that was found to be needing repair. After I took possession, I took it in to have a extra key made at a Honda dealer, and was informed it was leaking oil, and needed a new timing belt.....that repair cost $1200.00, so now I have repaired a car which I technically dont have any legal ownership of until I receive and register the title. I hope Gateway Buick GMC obeys the law and their obligation to deliver me a title within 30 days. It doesnt look good so far.

We'd been looking at used cars for awhile, had researched extensively, and had been to at least half a dozen places from the Lexus dealership to the lots that sell only pre-owned cars. We decided on the car we wanted, did a local inventory search on Edmunds, and found what we were looking for at Gateway GMC. It was such a good price that we were expecting something to be wrong with the car, but we found it even nicer and more loaded than we'd hoped. Steven Jackson was friendly but not at all pushy. We'd chosen a four year old car and he didn't try to steer us towards a newer or more expensive car. We test drove the car by ourselves. We negotiated a price (as painless as negotiating can be) but told them we wanted our own mechanic to check it out before we committed. We'd actually gotten to that point at another dealership but when they balked at letting us take the car to our mechaninc the deal fell apart. Gateway had no problem with it, let us take it on a Saturday afternoon and we ended up returning it on Tuesday afternoon.
While we were waiting to get the car looked at, I did some further research to make sure we were getting a great deal. Everything had gone so smoothly, I wondered if I'd missed something somehow and we were really overpaying. My research reassured me that we really were getting a great deal. My mechanic told me that the car was in great shape, just a couple minor issues. The A/C worked fine but needed a tune up (blowing a little warm) and some screws on the filter box were stripped. We'd also noticed that one of the wireless headphones for the DVD player was broken and there was a 1" scratch on the driver's side door that I wanted fixed. I walked in ready for some push-back because we were already getting such a good deal, but Steven didn't bat an eye and agreed to make everything right. They got our car into the service department immediately and got the A/C worked on. They also gave us replacement headphones. They had to order the screws so we're going back in a couple days to get them installed and also to get the scratch fixed. I will update this review if there are any issues with that.
While we were waiting for the car to be serviced, I did the dreaded walk to the finance manager's office, ready to be high-pressured into using their financing, getting an extended warranty, tire warranty, clear coat, etc. Anyone who has bought a car from a dealership knows the drill. Jim (finance) was pleasant and low-key, and didn't bat an eye when I told him we were paying cash. He did offer us the extended warranty but there was no hard sell on anything. It really was that easy and pleasant. I mentioned we were closing on a house in a few days and he offered to hold the check for us until we closed. That wasn't necessary, as I'd already cleared the purchase with my loan officer, but it was nice of him to offer.
The service department cleaned the car so well it looked even better than when we'd test driven it. The car was on empty when I pulled into the lot but they'd filled it up for me. I didn't ask them to do either one. I am very happy with the whole process, and thrilled with our car. I will definitely recommend Gateway GMC and will return to them when we need another car.
Edited to add: I am a middle-aged stay-at-home mom who handled the negotiations and purchase on my own. Unfortunately that means I'm used to getting a hard sell and/or being talked down to, especially in these type situations. But I'm happy to say I didn't get any of that treatment at Gateway.

I routinely drop the car off in the morning when they open at 7am and pick it up at the end of the day. Now that I am retired, I wait for the repairs/maintenance to be completed. They are sensitive to the fact that I am waiting. While they always offered to make travel arrangements to and from my place of employment or home, it was convenient for me to make my own. Most important, they are punctual and the service was done when promised. I never had to leave the car over night nor was it required to make an appointment. The service advisors were friendly, listened to my concerns and I was always notified of a recommended service need with price and given the option to and quot;opt outand quot;. The car has always been returned as I left it, that is, clean. Although I do wish they would offer the car wash.

Checked their online scheduling, all available times in green, I also called to verify that time was free. I was advised they could get me right in for a quick oil change. When I arrived at 9:35am the employee who checked me did not indicate any delays and directed me to the waiting area. After an hour I went out and asked her for a status on my oil change. She stated they just now moved my car into a service bay and should be about 30 minutes, no explanation was given. Approximately 30 minutes later the same employee came into the waiting area to advise me my car was ready and to pay the cashier. The cashier stated they would bring my car around in a few minutes. I walked outside and saw my car already out front but it was locked and no keys in sight. I had to go back inside and ask the cashier where my keys are. The cashier had to call a manager to the office which ended up being the same employee who checked me in. She ended up finding and bringing me my keys.At no point in my 2 hour wait (for a simple oil change!) did anybody offer an apology.

The mechanics at Behlmann get the job done. I don't have much of an opinion on them. I use them because I'm still under a warranty with them. It's a big dealership. They are not particularly personal. They are efficient and they take care of things. If you need a car, they will give you one. They run things smoothly. They are very responsive to my needs and they are very punctual.

They gave us a good trade in as well. They were not pushy and I would recommend them to other people any time. They were helpful in helping us find what we were looking for as well. Overall, I was pleased with the service.

PLEASE SEE FOLLOWING LETTER SENT TO GM MARKETING RESEARCH: FOUR MONTHSE AGO, I PURCHASED A GMC EXPLORER VAN FOR A TOTAL OF $40,000. IT HAS ONLY 2800 MILES ON IT. I RETURNED TO THE DEALER I PURCHASED IT FROM TO TRADE IT IN ON A SMALLER VAN. THEY OFFERED ME $19,000 AS A TRADE-IN. THIS IS NOT BUSINESS! IT IS ROBBERY! I WILL NEVER BY ANOTHER GMC OR ANY OTHER AMERICAN BUILT CAR! ---------------------------------- VERY NICE IF THEY THINK THEY HAVE A CHANCE AT YOUR WALLET. WARRANTEE WORK, ONLY, FROM ME FROM NOW ON.
