Since 1969, we have been treating homes and businesses as is they were our own. We've received the Angie's List Super Service Award every year since it began being awarded in 2005 and are proud of the relationships and reputation we have built with our customers. We service, repair, maintain, and install residential and commercial heating and cooling equipment, humidifiers, air cleaners, water heaters and more. Air Comfort Service, Inc. is family owned and operated with locations in both St. Louis and St. Charles counties. Response from Air Comfort Service Inc
[member name removed], There must be some confusion on your part concerning which company did repairs at your home. The Angie’s List coupon you purchased was for a tune-up not repairs. When our technician arrived at your home your furnace was already not working. The technician troubleshot the unit to find the problem and per your request, he cleaned the unit. He was unable to completely check the furnace out because of the needed repairs. You declined the repairs. Our technician was told a family member would replace the thermostat. Several days later you called our office saying you had another heating and air conditioning company come to your home and they found there wasn’t a problem with the furnace that there was just a missing wire on the thermostat. You wanted a refund of your Angie’s List coupon. We asked that you fax us a copy of the other company’s invoice which you did. There were several black lines covering the wording in the invoice so we were unable to completely read the work description. We were able to receive a copy of the invoice without the black lines and the invoice stated the other company’s technician “found that the thermostat that the homeowner had installed was missing a wire. Mike replaced wire and tested system operation. Furnace was in proper operating condition. Thermostat was repaired and Mike left customers home.” We understand it is very confusing when you have multiple companies working on the same project. We do feel we did as much as we possibly could with your call considering you declined the needed repairs. As our technician first diagnosed you had a bad thermostat which you replaced. The secondary company involved was called to correct the installation of the thermostat which our company did not replace. I hope this helps clarify the issues on your call. Description of Work: I would highly recommend Air Comfort. They work with you on setting up an appointment and give you lead time before they show up. They perform service to keep you running. I use them for maintenance so there will not be a replacement in the foreseeable future. Just like your car; keep it serviced and it will treat you well. I signed an extended contract while they were here (which I have done before so that when fall arrives I will not have to think about calling them; they will call me). They do their business and don't try to push anything you don't need.

The tech was wonderful.
Description of Work: The company stated they were not conducting furnace inspections at this time, so I didn't get one. I paid for this service through Paypal, need to get reimbursed. Do I contact Paypal? Due $89.00. A/C UNIT was the only service preformed.
