Description of Work: Our serviceman, first reviewed the service contracts available for a home with 2 units for separate floors. | Then he checked our heating system to make sure it was working ok for the end of the season, then changed our humidifier to prepare for summer. He checked our thermostats, and outdoor blowers. We have 2 old air conditioning units. Both needed freon. ( one is 14-15 years old and the other is over 20). | I requested the same serviceman that we contacted last fall when we had a problem with our former provider, Survant. ( after 20 plus years their service was very uneven...especially punctuality.) | We were very pleased with Comfort Air Systems because Our serviceman was professional, thorough, and best of all on time. He was very familiar technically with our heating and air conditioning systems. | I feel very comfortable in having them come back. | |

Description of Work: My A/C went out on one of those 90+ degree days. I put a service call in to Air Comfort and they were duly concerned about my plight. They contacted a technician (John) and my A/C was fixed in just a few hours. Ahhhh!

Description of Work: Phenomenal customer service! 2nd time I've used them and I'm glad I did. They are my "go to" company for both heating and cooling!

Description of Work: Purported performed a gas leak search. I immediately noticed the so called search appeared to be random and unconventional. (I initially avoided hiring a company that did a air pressure search at a higher price but immediately regretted doing so. Apparently that is the only or at least most effective and efficient way to find gas leaks.) The technician expressed difficulty in finding all the leaks but could detect from the meter that they existed. He then suggested the best way to address the problem would be to replace all the gas pipes at a cost of $3,900. Having no better knowledge, I agreed and asked that the gas line be extended to the secind floor for a gas stove. He agreed and said that would increase the price to $4200. He went in, identified the location of the stove and instructed the contractor in site that he would need a line torn out of a wall and along the ceiling adding another significant cost. He then called his boss to report the job. His boss, site unseen, arbitrarily increased the price to $4,900. (No measuring had been done.) Apparently he saw someone foolish enough to pay $4,200 and thought he go for even more. | |I decided to pay the other company the $385 for the pressure tests for each unit and the leaks were quickly identified and repaired. The gas company returned, approved the work and turned on the gas. Total cost for labor and joints, $1,455. Air Comfort attempted to charge me $3,445 more than necessary, exclusive of having my ceiling and wall ripped out and repaired. Further, the gas line to the second floor stove already existed. It had been capped off. The honest company directed me to have the gas line uncapped when the electric stove was replaced with the gas stove. Cost,$0 by the stove installer.
