About us
Larry Vaught started our company in 1967. His sons started working here when they were 14 years old, worked their way through college, and now run this family owned business. Our company typically employs between 20 and 30 full time roofers. Through various training programs and weekly meetings, our employees are kept up to date on all aspects of proper installation methods. We do it all by the book! A discount coupon for Angies List customers is provided in our display ad. No down payment is required. Invoices are mailed after jobs have been completed and payment is due in 30 days unless other terms are negotiated. We always carry proper general liability and workmans compensation insurance, have occupational licenses for all greater Kansas City municipalities, and maintain all applicable contractor licenses.

"I believe you have us confused with someone else. Our records indicate that you called us on 01/07/2014 and we completed the work you requested on 1/8/2014 (i.e. the very next day). I have reviewed all records and find that when you first called us on 1/7/2014, you stated that "others tried to repair once, but that repair has failed already". You informed us that you were anxious to have the roof repaired because it is leaking & would appreciate it if we could fix immediately. Wishing to accommodate your request, on 01/08/2014 (the day after you called us) we sent a service man to the rental property you were requesting service for. Our service man found that the metal roof flashings around the chimney were not correct and were the likely cause of leakage. So we called you and quoted the amount we would charge to replace those flashings. You approved our quote, so we completed the work that very same day. We did not replace any guttering and did not take several weeks to perform the work as you noted in your review. So, I am pretty sure you have confused us with someone else. If you find this to be true I would very much appreciate it if you would follow up with a review to correct the matter as we very much value our reviews on Angie's List. Or, if you are referring to a different occasion that we may have provided services for you, I would be interested to know when that might have been because I find nothing else on recent record. The thing I was most impressed with is that the coupon was for 100 linear feet of gutters - and he only charged me for the dirty parts. I expected to get charged for more because I have more than 100 linear feet of gutters, but he said the parts that needed cleaning were less than that so we were all even.
That type of honesty and customer service go a long way with me!!

We would most certainly recommend Larry Vaught roofing.Good working crew and they did a great clean up when they were finished.The guttering works like a charm and still looks new!

They were prompt and courteous. The guy who came out to do the initial inspection, Shawn, was thorough, and really took the time to see what was wrong and what would be the best solution. The quote was way more reasonable than I expected, and the work was scheduled without undue delay. When they had to reschedule due to inclement weather that was done promptly. The work was done without any complication, and the bill came quickly.
I was really pleased with the overall service and response to my questions.
