I have a champion sliding glass door in my house. I inherited this door. The lock is broken. I have been trying for several years to get a new lock ordered. At no time was I told that they could not order this part for me because the door was out of warranty. I was continually told they were still trying to get the part in stock. I am now trying to get my house ready to sell and need a lock on this door so I reached back out to Champion again. I was called by Angie the office manager who was rude and condescending towards me and my request as if somehow I should have known that this door was out of warranty and that somehow I should have known that they do not supply parts. I inherited this door when I bought the house. I have no way of knowing when it was installed. I also had no way of knowing that they do not supply parts as the previous people I have spoken with opted not to inform me of this, they continued to make me think they were working on ordering the lock I needed. I informed her that I don't mind that its not covered and I have no problem paying for the new lock and instillation to which I was rudely told that they cannot do any work on the door because of its lack of warranty regardless of my willingness to pay for the work. She then continued to display more unpleasant attitude when I asked what I should do to get a lock for this door. She responded that I should go to a hardware store... wow! I never thought of that! Of course I have already thought of that. I have gone to many hardware stores, with pictures of my door, and have been told that they have nothing that will fit this door. Apparently this door was installed in 1997, so I completely understand that parts may not be readily available but for the company who provided the door to not have parts available to fix the door just because it's out of warranty does not make sense to me. What I do not understand however is why the mixed communication depending on which employees you speak with and why am I getting an unpleasant attitude and horrible customer service for trying to figure out what to do with a problem I inherited through no fault of my own other than buying a house from someone who obviously doesn't make good decisions. I am not an unreasonable person, however I am a person who still believes in customer service and what I received today was unexpected and unacceptable. I was looking for help and answers and I was met with a very rude attitude. Despite my frustration with this situation, which I believe is completely understandable considering what I've been dealing with on this door, there was a better way to handle the situation. That better way is called good customer service and I did not find that here.

It went okay, the foreign workers arrived on schedule. They did not all speak English, they did not respect my property as I would have liked, but that was minor. The workers worked long and hard, it was finished to our approval and they came back to fix a few minor problems.

They just went absolutely out of their way to please us and there was one mistake that they uttered and they could have gotten away without telling us about it but it was a door that was not upgraded as we had ordered it and they called me and said they put the wrong door in and asked if we could make an appointment to come and put the correct door in and take the other one out. So, they had lots of integrity and honesty. They were great. The price was better than some of the other outfits that we saw about the same quality and yet $15,000 - $17,000 less. They are not even carpenters, they are craftsmen. The people who com out to put these in have done this for 25 and 30 years and they just really know their stuff. They said they were going to be there at 9:00 and they were there at that time.

I have no complaints. They did a terrific job. They were very timely and clean. I just love them! I have no problems. You get what you pay for.

All went pretty well. The crew was fast, efficient & cleaned up well behind themselves. In shipping, the frame for the slider was cracked, so they installed it & ordered another to replace it...which they did @ 5 weeks later. My only complaint is w/the slider. While I love it, I paid the extra money for the darker interior & exterior frames. For some reason, Champion does not do the inside portion of the slider frame, which is clearly visible. Since my siding is dark, this is a detriment & a problem I did not have with my other windows or my sliding door, which is from Anderson. Since the color is "baked" on, according to their literature, I think this should be something they should absolutely be providing.

It was a very poor experience. I contracted with them in August and job was not 100% complete until February. The office stopped responding to me for weeks at a time. Installed a cracked window and it took them months to replace it. Installation manager is rude. Division manager is rude and unhelpful. They never apologized for the months of delays. I paid a premium price and received low budget service.

Our experience went well. We have a walk-out basement where the deck is over the patio. We had them put a cover over the deck, actually a roof. It was pretty pricey. Champion stuff is pricey, but you get what you pay for. We are big fans of Champion and they are not cheap. They are very expensive, but their product is good and their service is good. They have a fair price. I had them do windows in two houses and they are good people. We would not hesitate to call them again.

Living in a 70 year old house with the original wood framed, single pane windows was getting tiresome. Most of the windows don't open and none of them have screens. It was time for an upgrade. Champion did an excellent job of replacing three large windows in the front of the house and replacing the bathroom window with a slider. I had to order seven windows total. The windows in the living room actually needed two windows per opening - a double hung up top and a picture window below. I was worried they would find rot and other issues with the house being so old, but everything went off without any issues. They trimmed the windows on the outside and the inside with basic metal and it looks great. From the sales process to measuring to installation I couldn't be happier. I have already scheduled Champion to replace nine more windows. They were a little pricier than some other competitor's bids, but I was very happy with the quality of the windows and the professionalism of everyone I dealt with at Champion.

They were very helpful in suggesting the best and most efficient way to replace the windows throughout the house. We have some very large openings so they took into account the cost and the safety for the low windows with grandkids often visiting.
Their price was nearly 40% less than offers we'd received from others. They had a better warranty. They were very good about explaining their services.
The workers showed up on the appointed day and did a very professional job. It's a large house so it took them a couple of days. There were quite courteous and cleaned up any mess before leaving.
