Excellent experience overall. My family has had numerous issues in the past with various projects around the house. Every contractor we have hired has not delivered in one way or another. Thank goodness we ran into Jeff with A Handyman & A Greenthumb! Finally someone who will always call you back promptly, will give great advice on various options he offers, give you an estimate and STICK TO IT, as well as do good work!!! What a sigh of relief. I needed a bottom step repaired leading up to my front door and decided to get new railings installed as well. He gave me my options, gave me an esitmate, and set up a day to come and complete the work. He actually showed up the day he said he would, performed the work, and was cleaned up and gone before I even got back from work. Excellent job Jeff...you will definitely get more calls from us in the future!

I called Jeff.  He set a time to look at the project.  We agreed on a price and time to start. He completed it that day.  Cleaned up the project exceptionally well. I couldn't be happier.  I certainly will call him for other projects.

They did exactly what I needed without any difficulty whatsoever.  This is the fourth or fifth time I've had Jeff do work for me and he's one of the best people that I've ever dealt with.  I would not hesitate to have him do anything at all around my home.

When Jeff originally came over, we weren't sure if we would have him do the driveway as well or not. We showed him the area we wanted the patio, and the driveway. He took measurments and asked a few questions, and then emailed the completed estimate (all the costs/charges were broken down into categories) shortly after leaving. His estimate was in line with what we were expecting per sqft (a previous contractor wanted to charge us twice what Jeff's estimate was). That plus his previous work and the professionalism he showed during the estimation convinced us to hire his crew.

When they came to complete the work, he let us know what to expect and when they would be here as well as when we would want to be here to do a final review. He and his crew did excellent work, in exactly the time they had estimated (2 days total with curing and drying). Our patio looks awesome and the driveway was done well also! We will definitely hire him again.

Jeff contacted me immediately and scheduled a time for an estimate on some cracked concrete.  He was very reasonably priced.  The work was done quickly and it looks great.  Will definitely use them again.  R

Jeff and his crew replaced rotted siding trim on my house and primed and painted it to match the existing trim. And we had them fix some gutter drainage issues by extending a roof gutter downspout so it no longer drained onto the side of a dormer (bad installation by our original builder).  They also built a 10x20 patio extension at the rear of our house on a slope so they had to build retaining walls with huge 80 lb landscape blocks.  Before they could start on the patio extrension, they relocated a bush to another part of the yard and pulled up some edging that was in the way.  They also dug up and relocated several day lilies that were in the way.  After building the wall, they laid down a weed barrier, added some fill dirt, another weed barrier, gravel for drainage, then pea gravel (our choice) as the final surface.  Everything went smoothly.  They were punctual, polite, and professional.  Jeff has done several projects for me in the past and for other members of my family and he always does a super job.  His prices are fair, he does all the estimates himself, he works side-by-side with his crew, and he makes sure that everything is done to my satisfaction.  He's even come back himself to tweak an item to our satisfaction at no charge.  He and his guys are always polite and knowledgeable.  And Jeff is an encyclopedia of ideas and products to help you design your project for lasting satisfaction.  The trim he replaced had previously been "fixed" by a painting company only 3 years ago but it appeared that the previous company had patched old rotted trim with bondo instead of replacing it as told to but charged me for new trim (the trim in question is on the second floor and 50-60 ft up since our home is on a slope and I couldn't closely inspect it).  Jeff suggested a composite product for the replacement trim that lasts 2-3 times as long as wood trim.  It was a very slight up-charge for the product but it came preprimed and it will last a long time.  He also suggested a different top surface for the patio like cement or pavers but we chose pea gravel because we like the look and we wanted good drainage since we're planning to add a greenhouse on that spot in the future (and Jeff will be building that too).  In hindsight, Jeff was right about the pea gravel too-it's hard to walk on (like sand)-we should have gone with pavers or larger river rocks (we'll change that when we install the greenhouse).  Jeff is my go-to guy for all projects relating to handyman, landscape, drainage, concrete...I call Jeff first with any project and he'll tell me if it's outside his field of expertise (ex. doesn't do heating and A/C) but he can do 80-90% of my projects and I love his work and his work ethic.

Their estimate was the lowest of three bids I solicited but their work was great.  They were clean, showed up on time and did a fine job. I would not hesitate to ask them to do more work at our house.

It went very well. We weren't completely happy with the spindles and they came back the next day and did it to our satisfaction.

The project went extremely well.  Jeff planned it all out ahead of time and so there were no surprises during execution of the project.  Went exactly as he said it would.  Additionally, he came up with a creative plan to move some decorative grass that will make things look even better a year from now.  The actual cost of the project came right out to the penny to what Jeff estimated and I couldn't be happier with the result.  This is the third or fourth project Jeff has done for us and I already have a couple more in mind for next year and the year after that.  Jeff and his crew are very consciencious of what they do and how they do it and work very hard to ensure that it comes out as close to perfect as possible.

I initially found and emailed Jeff off of Angie's list. I sure am glad that I found him. Initially we were looking at putting in a 65' retaining wall in-between properties to solve a major grade issue. Jeff was responsive in his emails and in a short time we arranged a visit for an estimate. While speaking with him about the project, I also had him estimate a stamped concrete patio with a retaining wall/planting beds around the patio. Jeff quickly had a bid back that was well within expectations and actually below what I was expecting for several pieces of the project. He was more than willing to divide the project into smaller more economical pieces if we so desired. After a few emails back and forth answering questions, we decided to go with Jeff. We set an approximate date (get on his calendar early, he's a busy busy guy!) and were set to get started. While waiting we decided to add another section to the patio project which he estimated over email. and was fine adding. When it came to actually starting the project, Jeff and crew were Clean, On-Time, and very professional. He even helped to negotiate with the neighbors an area between our homes that needed dire attention, and came up with a solution that both parties thought was great. Their work was quick, efficient and done the right way. Jeff pays attention to quality and rolls with last minute changes without a  problem. He cleared every portion of the project to make sure it was right before moving on to the next and successfully juggled our large project with some smaller ones he had running at the same time. His crew was willing to put in the time needed to get each phase done often times working 12 hour days (including Saturday) to work around weather and other issues. His estimate was exactly what he charged (plus the additions that we agreed on during the project) and there were no surprises when the final bill was due. It makes you feel good that there are still contractors out there that run their business ethically and responsibly. He isn't out to squeeze every penny out of you nor will he compromise the quality of work to save a buck. I already have other projects in mind for Jeff and crew to complete in the future, and have had several neighbors/relatives and strangers on the street stop by to get his information to hire based on the quality of work that they saw being done. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Jeff for any future project!

Jeff, came in early May to give me an estimate on pouring a side walk from the side of our house to the front drive so my 86 year old father could get to the car without going up or down stairs.  His estimate was not the cheapest I found but was not the most expensive either.  I was impressed with Jeff's knowledge and his ability to understand what I wanted.  

Due to weather and his schedule it was almost a month before he could start, but he kept me well informed about his schedule.

On the morning he was to start he arrived with a crew of about 6 people who set to work at 7:30 and by about 1:00 they were done and I had a sidewalk poured.  

The next day Jeff and I fellow came and they removed the forms and did the grading of the dirt in about an hour and a half.

The walk looks great.

Jeff and his workers were highly professional and very pleasant.

Perfect. We had done business with Jeff and his team before, and were very satisfied. The work was of high quality and done quickly, and the crew was patient and accommodating even though I changed the configuration of the path halfway through the project. The patio abuts a goldfish pond, and when they cleaned and resealed the concrete, they took pains to assure no chemicals contaminated the water. We would definitely call this company first for any landscaping project!

Jeff was prompt in coming out for a quote and provided a detail written estimate. Upon contracting, he and his team showed up as scheduled, performed the work in a professional manner and cleaned up the job site when complete. They also put plywood down over the grass so that the bobcat didn't tear up the lawn. Overall, they did a great job!
