Excellent service he even made some suggestions that really helped the operation of the door. Did not even charge for the extra work.

He said that he couldn’t replace the wheels because it was too old. When he got done with it I couldn’t open the door. I had to get the door replaced. He was not kind or a good person to work with at any point in the process. When I called him to get my money back he refused.

"I am sorry for your experience,but i did show up on time to preform the work even though i usually don't service il. after i realized how bad the door was (it didn't work when i got there) I called you and suggested that you buy a new door because of how old it was i couldn't replace the rollers and the door was very rusted and in bad shape. you told me it was just a rental property and to do what i could on the door. I lubed and adjusted the door and got it to operate up and down not with ease but it did go up which was more then when i got there. I never received a call from you about not being satisfied or that the door didn't work like you said it didn't. you emailed me four months after i serviced the door saying you had to replace it and you wanted your money back. if it was my service that you weren't pleased with you should have called me right away and given me a chance to make it right but you never did and i had no idea you weren't pleased with the work. I can't just refund you the money for a job that i did for you four months ago on a door i had suggested you replace in the first place, i did what you wanted and never heard back from you. I am sorry it didn't work out for you but if you would've called me soon after i could have made it right. and sir I was very friendly with you on the phone when i called i'm not sure how you could say i wasn't kind to you."

They were prompt and efficient. They cleaned up well, even better than before they arrived. We were happy with the service. We’ve had a couple of larger, more known companies and CGX did better than those companies. Our garage door has never been as quiet as it is now since CGX was out.

The guy who performed the work was Corey Glackin. I heard about him through friends and family. He did an excellent job and everything went great. He was honest and did exactly what he said he was going to. His price was very affordable. He was very pleasant and nice overall. He did not try to hassle me or anything. I would recommend him to family and friends. I would use him again in the future.

Corey came and assessed the cracks in the inside panel quickly. Instead of having us pay over $300.00 to replace the two panels, he problem-solved the situation and braced the cracked hinged area. Because we were Angie's List members, he only charged me $39.00 for his time and drive to our home. He told me if I had any further trouble, what he could do to continue to spare us a large repair cost. He was very professional and worked quickly and efficiently. We appreciated his service!

It went great. Even though he was booked solid, he managed to work me in within two days. (It was not an emergency for I was able to get my vehicle out). He arrived early (but not too early), and was very professional and personable.
Corey was efficient, and the work was completed within an hour. He went over everything he did, had me review everything and answered my questions without being condescending.

I bought a big deal for garage door inspection and roller lubrication. He was proactive about making the appointment, which was great, and he did what he promised and a little more.
But he also removed the wall sticker from Overhead Door, the company that installed my garage door four years ago. That door is still under warranty, and I need that information close at hand. Besides, it is my house, and he had no business taking it down without my permission. I'm fine with his adding his sticker to the collection, but he went too far.
Other than that, he did a great job, and I'm sorry I can't give him high marks on everything.
UPDATE: Not long after I posted this review, the mechanism that moves the garage door started making the most horrible noises. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

We are not in his normal service area, but we were willing to work with him to schedule a date when he had other work in the Metroeast. He arrived when he said he would and was pleasant and professional. His work was excellent. We would call him again!

Corey called me back a few days later to say that he had the replacement springs and cables, and that he would be out to fix the door and do the work from the "Deal." It took him just over an hour, and he had everything repaired and the new rollers installed, and in fact, the door goes up and down more smoothly and quietly than it did when the door was first installed. I was very impressed by Corey's professionalism and his ability to get my extra large steel door up by himself without having the springs working to assist him. (I didn't realize that without the springs, it is very difficult to lift the doors, a situation that is different from when the power is out and you pull the release cord.) The cost for the set of door springs and installation was $195.00 which I thought was very reasonable, so my total cost was $324.00 including the $99.00 for the "Deal". While I hope I don't need Corey's services again for a long time, I would not hesitate to call him back or to recommend him to my friends.

The light on the garage door wasn't working so they fixed it. However, about a month later it stopped working again and I don't know what they did to "fix" it so it's back not working again, which is annoying, especially at night. Otherwise, everything seems to be fine.

"Im Sorry for being slow to respond, if we could have done anything better please let us know we are always trying to improve the way we handle the huge response we get with the big deal. as far as your garage door opener light there isn't any way to really fix the light unless you replace the circuit board and that wouldn't be included in the big deal, but if me or one of the guys fixed it it must have been something simple like the light bulb not being screwed in right and not making a good connection. again we are sorry for you not being 100% satisfied if there is any way to make it right let us know and we will do so."

I took advantage of an Angie?s List Big Deal for a new garage door motor and outside key pad.
I am extremely satisfied with the price, service and the materials offered by CGX. Cory was on time the morning of the installation and he did a terrific job setting everything up and tuning up the existing equipment. He took all debris with him and said he recycles as much as he can. I appreciate that!
I told Cory I will call him later this summer to insulate the garage door before winter sets in. I would recommend CGX to everyone with no hesitation.

When I called Corey for an estimate he was very professional and straightforward. He told me everything that was included in the price of a new garage door and what parts that came with it, such as a new track and trim molding, haul away the old door, etc. There was no high pressure sales tactics or trying to up sell me into something more expensive. This young man is the owner, operator, and installer. The work he did was outstanding. Then new door went up quickly and it works perfectly. It is super quiet, and looks great. I highly recommend CGX, if I ever need another garage door, I will call CGX.

Initially there was some confusion about getting a date for service set up, and that is why I gave them a "Fair" on responsiveness, but once the date was set everything went very well, indicated by the Excellent ratings. Our technician, Corey, appeared punctually in the time slot he gave us. He was very professional, getting right to work, completing the job in less than one hour. This included the additional repair he had to do to fix the "binding" problem our door had. When I initially explained the problem Corey thought he would have to get some "braces" and make a return trip, but he was able to devise an excellent solution with materials he had in the truck--and for only $25 more! Corey told us that we would need to replace the door at some point in the future and quoted an all-inclusive price for the door and installation. In the meantime, the garage door is much quieter now with the new nylon rollers and we are very pleased with the work.
We would definitely hire GCX again for garage door serving/replacement, and would highly recommend them to our friends.

Cory was very professional, I contacted him through an Angie's List Deal. I called as soon as I purchased the deal. He seemed to be busy at the time so he was going to call back when he made the schedule up the next week. I didn't hear back so I called again, my guess is he got lots of business from the Angie Deal. As soon as I called him back he added me to the schedule. I later got an email telling me he was going to be in my area sooner then scheduled if I was available and wanted to take advantage. We corresponded in email a couple time following that pinning down the time.
He showed up on time when I expected him. He was clean and professionally dressed. He drives a large white work truck that has an overall good appearance, not something you would be embarrassed to have in front of your home. He worked quickly through the job, I was on a conference call while he was here and he didn't interrupt us at all.
Once he finished the job he knocked to inform me he was finished. Left me a list of what service he performed and a business card to call him back if anything comes up.
After he left you couldn't tell he was there no trash or mess left behind. Garage door works great it is much quieter then it was. I am very pleased with his service and would use him again if needed.
