She had shots and they just got to know her. We like them enough to keep going.

I like that I have a standard poodle. They never put her on the table. They always walk in, greet her and then sit on the floor eye level with her. They just love on her and make her feel comfortable. She's a ver squirmish dog, and they make me feel at ease, which I think helps put her at ease.

It didn't. I am looking for a new groomer. Called them and they told me they have ONE groomer and she is booked up for the next YEAR.

The price is really really high. They’re a great Veterinary Hospital just beware of the pricing.

Everyone (staff and doctors) was very professional, friendly, helpful, and knowledgable...as ALWAYS. We have taken our pets here for the last 35 years and would never dream of going anywhere else.

Everything went very well.  

A new cat presented himself at our farm in Iowa about three weeks ago and my husband did his due diligence regarding ownership. After we found out that the cat was "available", he brought him to St. Louis for his initial vet visit and neuter.  (We brings all four of our farm cats to Ellisville for veterinary care.  There's nowhere else we'd consider going.)

While talking with Dr. Smith over the weekend about Cheeto's potential ear issue (the practice handles its own off-hours emergency calls), he provided advice about how to treat him until the office was open on Tuesday.  He then went above and beyond and checked his schedule for Tuesday, letting us know that his surgery schedule was light enough that he could do Cheeto's initial exam early Tuesday morning when I'd drop him off and then his neuter later in the morning.

I got to the office at 8 on Tuesday, Cheeto had his visit and I was on my way to work by 8:25.  Dr. Smith called before 11:00 to let me know that all was well and I could pick up Cheeto anytime after 4.  Upon pickup, the technician went over all of his post-surgical instructions, as well as the pain medication he'll be receiving for six days post-op.  The following day, another technician called to check on how he was doing and to see if we had any questions.

We've been using Ellisville Veterinary Hospital since we got our first cat 15 years ago.  The veterinarians are expert at dealing with our pets' routine care as well as more serious conditions, and they've also helped us to deal with some of the more difficult aspects of pet ownership.  The technicians and front desk staff are caring, friendly and professional and seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs.

One of our dogs loves the staff so much, he likes to stop by to say "hi" on Saturday mornings after breakfast!  I couldn't recommend the practice any more highly.

It’s a full service practice.  We like all the vets in particular we like Doug Croft.  He attends to our pets and he knows how to set priority.  There are just animals that are over and beyond.

We have seen all 3 doctors in this practice and each one is great. They can always get us in quickly and listen carefully to our concerns. We have 2 dogs who are both comfortable with their staff. Everyone we have encountered is always a pleasure to deal with.

They have 3 wonderful vet. Each one is as good as the other. The whole hospital staff and techs are great. I have been using them for 4 years.

I have taken my pets (4 dogs and a cat) to Ellisville Veterinary Hospital since 1982. I have experienced nothing but kindness, professionalism, and the highest quality of care from the doctors and staff all these years. From my first visit with a puppy or kitten until time to say good-bye, I have received help and advice, clear explanations of all my options and choices, honesty, and compassion. These are clearly people who love animals and are well aware that there is a person on the other end of that leash. I have never been lectured, scolded, rushed or brushed off on the phone or in the office. These veterinarians keep up with the latest medical advances and research so that your dog or cat will have the best care you can provide, both when he is well (and to keep him well) and if he gets sick or injured, too.

They are very nice and caring. The staff is concerned for the well-being of your animals.

I really appreciated their service and I felt really good about them. I found them to be more reasonably priced than a prior vet that I had been to. They were very thorough. I spent probably $200 on everything. They were professional and they gave me some great deal on some medication for the puppy like heartgard and flea stuff. They were using coupons and were trying to really bring the total as close and some free stuff on top of it. So, they did a lot of good things. I felt very comfortable with them. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

They do great! Carol is probably the best groomer we've ever been to. She is very sweet and gentle with the dogs. I have one that has allergy issues and she always takes extra care with special shampoos and water temperatures. She has such a way with them. They really like her. She does absolutely beautiful work. She makes them look like pets, not show dogs. She never cuts too much off. She works out all the mats. The above cost is per dog.

They are very caring and the staff are also very friendly. We will continue to use them in the future!

They have taken care of my animals for over 23 years. They have several veterinarians there but they are all excellent and very competent. The staff is wonderful. They truly love and care for their patients. I think their prices are a little high, but well worth the quality of care that your animals receive.

They take really good care of pets. They gave me a good discharge. They are very knowledgeable and compassionate. They also explained everything that my cat had and how to take care of her.

I submitted an earlier report which was rescinded and in which I stated that I feel that Ellisville Veterinary provides excellent, compassionate and knowledgeable service, but I felt that their prices were extremely high ($190 for one well dog annual checkup and vaccines). However, after checking around with some other vet hospitals in the area, it seems that Ellisville prices are in line with other vets. I thus wish to recant my previous poor grade in the price category.

HAVE BEEN GOING TO ELLISVILLE VET FOR YEARS. RECENTLY, HAD TO PUT MY DOG DOWN. THE ENTIRE PROCESS (FROM THE LAST FEW APPOINTMENTS, TALKING THROUGH THE OPTIONS, SCHEDULING THE APPOINTMENT) WAS HANDLED WITH SENSITIVITY AND CARE BY THE DOCTOR (DR. KROFT) AND THE ENTIRE STAFF. WE EVEN RECEIVED A CARD A WEEK LATER FROM THE CLINIC WHICH WE THOUGHT WAS CLASSY. I'VE FELT THAT ELLISVILLE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A LITTLE PRICEY BUT THEY DO PROVIDE AN AWESOME LEVEL OF SERVICE AND QUALITY.
